Psalms 14

1 TO THE OVERSEER. BY DAVID. A fool has said in his heart, “There is no God”; They have done corruptly, They have done abominable actions, There is not a doer of good.

Przewodnikowi chóru. Dawidowy. Głupi powiedział w swoim sercu: Nie ma Boga. Są zepsuci, popełniają obrzydliwe czyny. Nie ma nikogo, kto by czynił dobro.

2 YHWH has looked from the heavens on the sons of men, To see if there is a wise one—seeking God.

PAN spojrzał z niebios na synów ludzkich, aby zobaczyć, czy jest ktoś rozumny i szukający Boga.

3 The whole have turned aside, Together they have been filthy: There is not a doer of good, not even one.

Wszyscy zboczyli z drogi, wszyscy jednakowo znikczemnieli. Nie ma nikogo, kto by czynił dobro, nie ma ani jednego.

4 Have all working iniquity not known? Those consuming my people have eaten bread, They have not called YHWH.

Czyż są nierozumni wszyscy czyniący nieprawość, którzy pożerają mój lud, [jakby] chleb jedli, [a] PANA nie wzywają?

5 They have feared a fear there, For God [is] in the generation of the righteous.

Tam ogarnie ich strach, gdyż Bóg jest pośród pokolenia sprawiedliwych.

6 You cause the counsel of the poor to stink, Because YHWH [is] his refuge.

Szydzicie z rady ubogiego, ale PAN jest jego ucieczką.

7 “Who gives the salvation of Israel from Zion?” When YHWH turns back [To] a captivity of His people, Jacob rejoices—Israel is glad!

Oby przyszło z Syjonu zbawienie Izraela! Gdy PAN odwróci niewolę swego ludu, Jakub się rozraduje i Izrael się rozweseli.
