< Psalms 137 >
1 By rivers of Babylon—There we sat, Indeed, we wept when we remembered Zion.
E bath aore mag Babulon ne wabet piny kendo ne waywak kane waparo Sayun.
2 We hung our harps on willows in its midst.
Ne wangʼawo thumbewa ewi omburi mane ni kanyo,
3 For there our captors asked us the words of a song, And our spoilers—joy: “Sing to us of a song of Zion.”
nimar joma ne omakowa nokwayowa wende kane wan kanyo, joma nesandowa nochunowa ni wawernegi wende mor; negiwachonwa niya, “Wernwauru achiel kuom wende Sayun!”
4 How do we sing the song of YHWH, On the land of a stranger?
Ere kaka wanyalo wero wende Jehova Nyasaye kapod wan e piny ma wendo?
5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem, my right hand forgets!
Ka dipo ni wiya owil kodi, yaye Jerusalem, to mad lweta ma korachwich wiye wil gi tichne.
6 My tongue cleaves to my palate, If I do not remember you, If I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.
Mad lewa moki e danda ka dipo ni ok apari, ka dipo ni ok aketo chunya kuomi, yaye Jerusalem, morna maduongʼ mogik.
7 Remember, YHWH, for the sons of Edom, The day of Jerusalem, Those saying, “Raze, raze to its foundation!”
Parie gima ne jo-Edom otimo, yaye Jehova Nyasaye, parie gima negitimo chiengʼ mane Jerusalem opodho. Ne gikok matek niya, “Mukeuru ogoye piny. Mukeuru ogore piny gi mise mare duto!”
8 O daughter of Babylon, O destroyed one, O the blessedness of him who repays to you your deed, That you have done to us.
Yaye nyar Babulon, in mochanni kethruok, ngʼama nochuli kuom gima isetimonwa en jahawi,
9 O the blessedness of him who seizes, and has dashed your sucklings on the rock!
ngʼat manomak nyithindi mayom mi gogi piny e lwendni en jahawi.
