< Psalms 13 >

1 TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. Until when, O YHWH, Do You forget me forever? Until when do You hide Your face from me?
in finem psalmus David usquequo Domine oblivisceris me in finem usquequo avertis faciem tuam a me
2 Until when do I set counsels in my soul, [With] sorrow in my heart daily? Until when is my enemy exalted over me?
quamdiu ponam consilia in anima mea dolorem in corde meo per diem
3 Look attentively; Answer me, O YHWH, my God, Enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death,
usquequo exaltabitur inimicus meus super me
4 Lest my enemy say, “I overcame him,” My adversaries rejoice when I am moved.
respice exaudi me Domine Deus meus inlumina oculos meos ne umquam obdormiam in mortem
5 And I have trusted in Your kindness, My heart rejoices in Your salvation.
nequando dicat inimicus meus praevalui adversus eum qui tribulant me exultabunt si motus fuero
6 I sing to YHWH, For He has conferred benefits on me!
ego autem in misericordia tua speravi exultabit cor meum in salutari tuo cantabo Domino qui bona tribuit mihi et psallam nomini Domini altissimi
