< Psalms 129 >
1 A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. Often they distressed me from my youth, Pray, let Israel say:
Nkunga wunyimbudulu mu nzila yikuendila ku nzo Yave. Bandiamisa ngolo tona mu bumuana buama, bika Iseli katuba.
2 Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me.
Bandiamisa ngolo tona mu bumuana buama vayi basia ku ndunga ko.
3 Plowers have plowed over my back, They have made their furrows long.
Minkuni midima manima mama; batula muawu minkala miawu mimula.
4 YHWH [is] righteous, He has cut apart cords of the wicked.
Vayi Yave widi wusonga; niandi wuzenga minsinga mi batu bambimbi muingi ndiba mu kiphuanza.
5 All hating Zion [are] confounded and turn backward.
Bika babo beti lenda Sioni bavutuka fua tsoni.
6 They are as grass of the roofs, That withers before it was drawn out,
Bika baba banga biti bi mbata muanzu, biobi bieti yuma tuamina biyunduka;
7 That has not filled the hand of a reaper, And the bosom of a binder of sheaves.
biobi mvedi kalendi wesa mu mioko miandi ko; voti mutu wowo wunkanga mvumba kalendi wesi mu mioko miandi ko.
8 And the passers by have not said, “The blessing of YHWH [is] on you, We blessed you in the Name of YHWH!”
Bika bobo bamviokila vana babika tuba: “lusakumunu lu Yave lubanga yeno! Tueti kulusakumuna mu dizina di Yave!”
