< Psalms 129 >
1 A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. Often they distressed me from my youth, Pray, let Israel say:
Sabo-Pionjonañe Beteke nisilofen-draho boak’ami’ty nahajalahy ahiko— ano ty hoe r’Israele—
2 Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me.
Beteke niforeforèñe sikal’amy te izaho niajalahy, f’ie tsy nahagioke ahy.
3 Plowers have plowed over my back, They have made their furrows long.
Nitrabahe’ o mpitrabakeo ty sakamamovoko, nanoe’ iareo lava o vavahalioo.
4 YHWH [is] righteous, He has cut apart cords of the wicked.
Vantañe t’Iehovà; navitso’e ty namahora’ o lo-tserekeo ahy.
5 All hating Zion [are] confounded and turn backward.
Hampolieñe an-kasalarañe ze malaiñe i Tsiône.
6 They are as grass of the roofs, That withers before it was drawn out,
Ie hampanahafeñe ami’ty ahetse an-tafo traño eo, hiheatse aolo’ ty hibeiza’e,
7 That has not filled the hand of a reaper, And the bosom of a binder of sheaves.
toe tsy hahaeneñe ty fità’ i mpanatakey, ndra ty araña’ i mpifehe’ o fehe’eo.
8 And the passers by have not said, “The blessing of YHWH [is] on you, We blessed you in the Name of YHWH!”
Vaho tsy anoe’ o mpandrioñeo ty hoe: Ho ama’ areo ty fañanintsi’ Iehovà! Itatà’ay ami’ty tahina’ Iehovà!
