< Psalms 129 >

1 A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. Often they distressed me from my youth, Pray, let Israel say:
Oluyimba nga balinnya amadaala. Isirayiri ayogere nti, “Bambonyaabonyezza nnyo okuva mu buvubuka bwange.”
2 Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me.
Ddala bambonyaabonyezza nnyo okuva mu buvubuka bwange; naye tebampangudde.
3 Plowers have plowed over my back, They have made their furrows long.
Newaakubadde ng’omugongo gwange gujjudde enkovu olw’embooko ze bankubye era ne gulabika nga kwe bayisizza ekyuma ekirima,
4 YHWH [is] righteous, He has cut apart cords of the wicked.
kyokka Mukama mutuukirivu; amenyeemenye enjegere z’abakola ebibi.
5 All hating Zion [are] confounded and turn backward.
Abo bonna abakyawa Sayuuni bagobebwe era bazzibweyo emabega nga baswadde.
6 They are as grass of the roofs, That withers before it was drawn out,
Babeere ng’omuddo ogumera waggulu ku nnyumba, oguwotoka nga tegunnakula.
7 That has not filled the hand of a reaper, And the bosom of a binder of sheaves.
Omukunguzi tagufaako, n’oyo asiba ebinywa agunyooma.
8 And the passers by have not said, “The blessing of YHWH [is] on you, We blessed you in the Name of YHWH!”
Wadde abayitawo baleme kwogera nti, “Omukisa gwa Mukama gube ku mmwe. Tubasabidde omukisa mu linnya lya Mukama.”
