< Psalms 122 >
1 A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. BY DAVID. I have rejoiced in those saying to me, “We go to the house of YHWH.”
Ko e Hiva ʻa Tevita maʻae ʻalu hake. Naʻaku fiefia ʻi heʻenau pehē mai kiate au, “Ke tau ō ki he fale ʻo Sihova.”
2 Our feet have been standing in your gates, O Jerusalem!
ʻE tuʻu homau vaʻe ki lotoʻā ʻi ho ngaahi matapā, ʻE Selūsalema.
3 Jerusalem—the built one—[Is] as a city that is joined to itself together.
Kuo langa ʻa Selūsalema ʻo hangē ko e kolo ʻoku māʻopoʻopo:
4 For there tribes have gone up, Tribes of YAH, companies of Israel, To give thanks to the Name of YHWH.
ʻAia ʻoku ʻalu hake ki ai ʻae ngaahi faʻahinga, ʻae ngaahi faʻahinga ʻo Sihova, ki he fakamoʻoni ʻa ʻIsileli, ke ʻatu ʻae fakafetaʻi ki he huafa ʻo Sihova.
5 For there thrones of judgment have sat, Thrones of the house of David.
He ʻoku fokotuʻu ʻi ai ʻae ngaahi nofoʻa ʻoe fakamaau, ko e ngaahi nofoʻa ʻoe fale ʻo Tevita.
6 Ask [for] the peace of Jerusalem, Those loving you are at rest.
Mou hūfia ke melino ʻa Selūsalema: “ʻE monūʻia ʻakinautolu ʻoku nau ʻofa kiate koe.
7 Peace is in your bulwark, rest in your high places,
Ke ʻai ʻae melino ʻi ho ngaahi lotoʻā maka, mo e monūʻia ʻi ho ngaahi fale fakaʻeiʻeiki.”
8 For the sake of my brothers and my companions, Please let me speak, “Peace [be] in you.”
Pea koeʻuhi ko hoku ngaahi kāinga mo hoku ngaahi kaumeʻa, te u lea ni, “Ke ʻiate koe ʻae melino.”
9 For the sake of the house of our God YHWH, I seek good for you!
Koeʻuhi ko e fale ʻo Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua, te u kumi ke ke lelei ai.
