< Psalms 121 >
1 A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. I lift up my eyes to the hills, From where does my help come?
Ɔsoroforo dwom. Mema mʼani so kyerɛ mmepɔw no, ɛhe na me mmoa fi bɛba?
2 My help [is] from YHWH, Maker of the heavens and earth,
Me mmoa fi Awurade, ɔsoro ne asase yɛfo no.
3 He does not permit your foot to be moved, He who is preserving you does not slumber.
Ɔremma wo nan nwatiri, nea ɔhwɛ wo no rentɔ nko.
4 Behold, He does not slumber, nor sleep, He who is preserving Israel.
Ampa ara, nea ɔhwɛ Israel no rentɔ nko na ɔrenna.
5 YHWH [is] He who is preserving you, YHWH [is] your shade on your right hand,
Awurade hwɛ wo so; Awurade ne wo nwini wɔ wo nsa nifa so;
6 By day the sun does not strike you, Nor the moon by night.
Owia rensɛe wo wɔ adekyee mu, na ɔsram nso rensɛe wo anadwo.
7 YHWH preserves you from all evil, He preserves your soul.
Awurade bɛbɔ wo ho ban afi ɔsɛe nyinaa ho, ɔbɛhwɛ wo nkwa so;
8 YHWH preserves your going out and your coming in, From now on—even for all time!
Awurade bɛhwɛ wʼadifi ne wo fieba so mprempren ne daa.
