< Psalms 121 >

1 A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. I lift up my eyes to the hills, From where does my help come?
Ko e Hiva ʻae ʻalu hake. Te u hanga hake hoku mata ki he ngaahi moʻunga, ʻaia ʻoku haʻu mei ai hoku tokoni.
2 My help [is] from YHWH, Maker of the heavens and earth,
‌ʻOku haʻu hoku tokoni meia Sihova, ʻaia ne ne ngaohi ʻae langi mo māmani.
3 He does not permit your foot to be moved, He who is preserving you does not slumber.
‌ʻE ʻikai tuku ʻe ia ke hiki ho vaʻe: ko ia ʻoku ne tauhi koe ʻe ʻikai tulemohe ia.
4 Behold, He does not slumber, nor sleep, He who is preserving Israel.
Vakai, ko ia ʻoku ne tauhi ʻa ʻIsileli ʻe ʻikai te ne tulemohe pe mohe.
5 YHWH [is] He who is preserving you, YHWH [is] your shade on your right hand,
Ko Sihova ko ho tauhi: ko Sihova ko ho fakamalu ia ʻi ho nima toʻomataʻu.
6 By day the sun does not strike you, Nor the moon by night.
‌ʻE ʻikai taaʻi koe ʻe he laʻā ʻi he ʻaho, pe ʻe he māhina ʻi he pō.
7 YHWH preserves you from all evil, He preserves your soul.
‌ʻE fakahaofi koe ʻe Sihova mei he kovi kotoa pē: te ne fakamoʻui ho laumālie.
8 YHWH preserves your going out and your coming in, From now on—even for all time!
‌ʻE tauhi ʻe Sihova hoʻo ʻalu kituʻa mo hoʻo liu mai mei he ʻaho ni, pea taʻengata.
