< Psalms 116 >
1 I have loved, because YHWH hears My voice, my supplication,
ʻOku ou ʻofa kia Sihova, koeʻuhi kuo ne ongoʻi hoku leʻo mo ʻeku lotu tāumaʻu.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, And during my days I call.
Koeʻuhi kuo ne fakatokangaʻi hono fofonga kiate au, ko ia te u ui ai ki heʻene ʻafio ʻi hoku ngaahi ʻaho.
3 Cords of death have surrounded me, And straits of Sheol have found me, I find distress and sorrow. (Sheol )
Naʻe kāpui au ʻe he ngaahi mamahi ʻoe mate, pea naʻe puke au ʻe he ngaahi mamahi ʻo heli: naʻaku ʻilo ai ʻae tuʻutāmaki mo e mamahi. (Sheol )
4 And in the Name of YHWH I call: Ah, now, O YHWH, deliver my soul,
Pea naʻaku toki ui ki he huafa ʻo Sihova; “ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ou kole kiate koe, ke ke fakamoʻui hoku laumālie.”
5 YHWH [is] gracious, and righteous, Indeed, our God [is] merciful,
ʻOku manavaʻofa ʻa Sihova, mo māʻoniʻoni; ʻio, ʻoku ʻaloʻofa ʻa hotau ʻOtua.
6 YHWH [is] a preserver of the simple, I was low, and He gives salvation to me.
ʻOku fakamoʻui ʻe he ʻOtua ʻae taʻekākā: naʻaku vaivai pea naʻa ne tokoniʻi au.
7 Return, O my soul, to your rest, For YHWH has conferred benefits on you.
ʻE hoku laumālie, ke ke foki ki ho mālōlōʻanga; he kuo lahi ʻae foaki ʻa Sihova kiate koe.
8 For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, my feet from overthrowing.
He kuo ke fakamoʻui hoku laumālie mei he mate, mo hoku mata mei he loʻimata, mo hoku vaʻe ke ʻoua naʻa hinga.
9 I habitually walk before YHWH In the lands of the living.
Te u ʻeveʻeva, ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ʻi he fonua ʻoe moʻui.
10 I have believed, for I speak, I have been greatly afflicted.
Naʻaku tui, ko ia kuo u lea ai: “Naʻaku mahaki lahi:”
11 I said in my haste, “Every man [is] a liar.”
Naʻaku pehē ʻi heʻeku toʻotoʻo, “ʻOku loi ʻae kakai kotoa pē.”
12 What do I return to YHWH? All His benefits [are] on me.
Ko e hā te u ʻatu kia Sihova koeʻuhi ko ʻene ngaahi meʻaʻofa kotoa pē kiate au?
13 I lift up the cup of salvation, And in the Name of YHWH I call.
Te u toʻo ʻae ipu ʻoe fakamoʻui, pea te u ui ki he huafa ʻo Sihova.
14 Let me complete my vows to YHWH, Now, before all His people.
Te u fai ni ʻeku ngaahi fuakava kia Sihova ʻi he ʻao ʻo hono kakai kotoa pē.
15 Precious in the eyes of YHWH [is] the death of His saints.
ʻOku mahuʻinga ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ʻae pekia ʻo ʻene kakai māʻoniʻoni.
16 Ah, now, O YHWH, for I [am] Your servant; I [am] Your servant, son of Your handmaid; You have opened my bonds.
ʻE Sihova, ko e moʻoni ko hoʻo tamaioʻeiki au; ko hoʻo tamaioʻeiki au, mo e tama ʻa hoʻo kaunanga: kuo ke vete hoku ngaahi haʻi.
17 I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanks to You, And in the Name of YHWH I call.
Te u ʻatu kiate koe ʻae feilaulau ʻoe fakafetaʻi, pea ui ki he huafa ʻo Sihova.
18 Let me complete my vows to YHWH, Now, before all His people,
Te u fai ni ʻeku ngaahi fuakava kia Sihova ʻi he ʻao ʻo hono kakai kotoa pē,
19 In the courts of the house of YHWH, In your midst, O Jerusalem, praise YAH!
ʻI he ngaahi lotoʻā ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova, ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoʻou, ʻE Selūsalema. Mou fakamālō kia Sihova.
