Psalms 116
1 I have loved, because YHWH hears My voice, my supplication,
Ani Waaqayyoon nan jaalladha; inni sagalee waammata kootii naa dhagaʼeeraatii.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, And during my days I call.
Sababii inni gurra isaa gara kootti deebiseef, ani hamman lubbuun jiraadhutti isa nan waammadha.
3 Cords of death have surrounded me, And straits of Sheol have found me, I find distress and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
Kiyyoon duʼaa na marse; dhiphinni Siiʼoolis na qabate; ani rakkinaa fi gaddaan nan moʼame. (Sheol h7585)
4 And in the Name of YHWH I call: Ah, now, O YHWH, deliver my soul,
Anis, “Yaa Waaqayyo na oolchi!” jedhee maqaa Waaqayyoo nan waammadhe.
5 YHWH [is] gracious, and righteous, Indeed, our God [is] merciful,
Waaqayyo arjaa fi qajeelaa dha; Waaqni keenya gara laaffessa.
6 YHWH [is] a preserver of the simple, I was low, and He gives salvation to me.
Waaqayyo garraamota ni eega; yeroo ani baayʼee rakkadhetti isatu na gargaare.
7 Return, O my soul, to your rest, For YHWH has conferred benefits on you.
Yaa lubbuu ko, boqonnaa keetti deebiʼi; Waaqayyo waan gaarii siif godheeraatii.
8 For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, my feet from overthrowing.
Ati yaa Waaqayyo lubbuu koo duʼa irraa, ija koo imimmaan irraa, miilla koo gufachuu irraa waan oolchiteef,
9 I habitually walk before YHWH In the lands of the living.
ani biyya warra jiraatoo keessa, fuula Waaqayyoo dura nan jiraadha.
10 I have believed, for I speak, I have been greatly afflicted.
Ani yeroo, “Ani baayʼee dhiphadheera” jedhetti, amantii koo eeggadheera.
11 I said in my haste, “Every man [is] a liar.”
Ani yommuun burjaajaʼetti, “Namni hundinuu sobduu dha” nan jedhe.
12 What do I return to YHWH? All His benefits [are] on me.
Waan gaarii inni naa godhe hundaaf, ani Waaqayyoof maalan deebisa?
13 I lift up the cup of salvation, And in the Name of YHWH I call.
Ani xoofoo fayyinaa ol kaasee maqaa Waaqayyoo nan waammadha.
14 Let me complete my vows to YHWH, Now, before all His people.
Fuula saba isaa hundumaa duratti, ani wareega koo Waaqayyoof nan galcha.
15 Precious in the eyes of YHWH [is] the death of His saints.
Duuti qulqulloota isaa, fuula Waaqayyoo duratti ulfina qaba.
16 Ah, now, O YHWH, for I [am] Your servant; I [am] Your servant, son of Your handmaid; You have opened my bonds.
Yaa Waaqayyo, ani dhugumaan tajaajilaa kee ti; ani tajaajilaa kee ilma tajaajiltuu keetii ti; ati foncaa koo narraa hiikteerta.
17 I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanks to You, And in the Name of YHWH I call.
Ani aarsaa galataa siif nan dhiʼeessa; maqaa Waaqayyoos nan waammadha.
18 Let me complete my vows to YHWH, Now, before all His people,
Iddoo sabni isaa hundi jirutti, ani wareega koo Waaqayyoof nan galcha;
19 In the courts of the house of YHWH, In your midst, O Jerusalem, praise YAH!
yaa Yerusaalem si keessatti, oobdii mana Waaqayyoo irrattis nan galcha. Haalleluuyaa.
