< Psalms 114 >
1 In the going out of Israel from Egypt, The house of Jacob from a strange people,
ʻI he ʻalu atu ʻa ʻIsileli mei ʻIsipite, ko e fale ʻo Sēkope mei he kakai ʻoe lea kehe;
2 Judah became His sanctuary, Israel his dominion.
Ko hono faletapu ʻa Siuta, mo hono puleʻanga ʻa ʻIsileli.
3 The sea has seen, and flees, The Jordan turns backward.
Naʻe mamata ki ai ʻae tahi, pea hola ai: naʻe tekeʻi atu ʻo fakaholomui ʻa Sioatani.
4 The mountains have skipped as rams, Heights as sons of a flock.
Naʻe hopohopo ʻae ngaahi moʻunga ʻo hangē ko e fanga sipitangata, mo e ngaahi foʻi moʻunga ʻo hangē ko e fanga lami.
5 What is [ailing] you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, you turn back!
Ko e hā naʻe hoko kiate koe, ʻa koe ko e tahi, koeʻuhi naʻa ke hola ai? ʻA koe Sioatani, koeʻuhi ke tekeʻi atu ʻo fakaholomui koe?
6 O mountains, you skip as rams! O heights, as sons of a flock!
ʻAe ngaahi moʻunga, koeʻuhi naʻa mou hopohopo ai ʻo hangē ko e fanga sipitangata; mo kimoutolu ʻae ngaahi foʻi moʻunga, ʻo hangē ko e fanga lami?
7 From before the Lord be afraid, O earth, From before the God of Jacob,
ʻA koe ko māmani, ke ke tetetete ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ʻEiki, ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ʻOtua ʻo Sēkope;
8 He is turning the rock to a pool of waters, The flint to a fountain of waters!
ʻAia naʻa ne liliu ʻae maka ko e anovai, mo e maka afi ko e matavai.
