Psalms 113

1 Praise YAH! Praise, you servants of YHWH. Praise the Name of YHWH.

Halleluja! Lov, I Herrens tjenere, lov Herrens navn!

2 The Name of YHWH is blessed, From now on, and for all time.

Herrens navn være lovet fra nu av og inntil evig tid!

3 From the rising of the sun to its going in, The Name of YHWH [is] praised.

Fra solens opgang til dens nedgang er Herrens navn høilovet.

4 YHWH [is] high above all nations, His glory [is] above the heavens.

Herren er ophøiet over alle hedninger, hans ære er over himmelen.

5 Who [is] as our God YHWH, He is exalting [Himself] to sit?

Hvem er som Herren vår Gud, han som troner så høit,

6 He is humbling [Himself] to look On the heavens and on the earth.

som ser så dypt ned, i himmelen og på jorden,

7 He is raising up the poor from the dust, He exalts the needy from a dunghill.

som reiser den ringe av støvet, ophøier den fattige av skarnet

8 To cause [them] to sit with princes, With the princes of His people.

for å sette ham hos fyrster, hos sitt folks fyrster,

9 Causing the barren one of the house to sit, A joyful mother of sons; praise YAH!

han som lar den ufruktbare hustru bo som glad barnemor! Halleluja!
