Psalms 108
1 A SONG. A PSALM OF DAVID. My heart is prepared, O God, I sing, indeed, I sing praise, also my glory.
Ein Lied. Ein Psalm Davids. Mein Herz ist fest, o Gott; ich will singen und spielen!
2 Awake, stringed instrument and harp, I awake the dawn.
Wache auf, meine Ehre, wache auf, Harfe und Zither; aufwecken will ich die Morgenröte!
3 I thank You among peoples, O YHWH, And I praise You among the nations.
Ich will dich preisen unter den Völkern, Jahwe, und will dich besingen unter den Nationen!
4 For Your kindness [is] great above the heavens, And Your truth to the clouds.
Denn groß über den Himmel hinaus ist deine Gnade, und bis zu den Wolken deine Treue.
5 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, And Your glory above all the earth.
Erhebe dich über den Himmel, o Gott, und über die ganze Erde breite sich deine Herrlichkeit.
6 That Your beloved ones may be delivered, Save [with] Your right hand, and answer us.
Damit deine Geliebten errettet werden, so hilf nun mit deiner Rechten und erhöre mich!
7 God has spoken in His holiness: I exult, I apportion Shechem, And I measure the Valley of Succoth,
Gott hat in seinem Heiligtume geredet: “Ich will frohlocken! “Ich will Sichem verteilen und das Thal Sukkoth ausmessen.
8 Gilead [is] Mine, Manasseh [is] Mine, And Ephraim [is] the strength of My head, Judah [is] My lawgiver,
“Mein ist Gilead, mein ist Manasse, und Ephraim ist die Schutzwehr meines Hauptes, Juda mein Herrscherstab.
9 Moab [is] a pot for My washing, On Edom I cast My shoe, Over Philistia I habitually shout.
“Moab ist mein Waschbecken; auf Edom werfe ich meinen Schuh, über Philistäa jauchze ich.”
10 Who brings me [into] the fortified city? Who has led me to Edom?
Wer führt mich nach der festen Stadt? Wer geleitet mich nach Edom?
11 Have You not, O God, cast us off? And You do not go out, O God, with our hosts!
Hast nicht du, o Gott, uns verworfen und ziehst nicht aus, o Gott, mit unseren Heeren?
12 Give to us help from adversity, And the salvation of man is vain.
Schaffe uns Hilfe gegen den Feind, denn eitel ist Menschenhilfe!
13 We do mightily in God, And He treads down our adversaries!
Mit Gott werden wir Heldenthaten verrichten, und er wird unsere Feinde niedertreten.
