< Proverbs 9 >
1 Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her pillars—seven.
Amamihe ewuola ụlọ ukwu ya nʼelu ogidi asaa.
2 She has slaughtered her slaughter, She has mingled her wine, Indeed, she has arranged her table.
O doziela oriri ya nʼusoro, o gbuola anụ ya, gwaakwa mmanya.
3 She has sent forth her girls, She cries on the tops of the high places of the city:
O zipụkwala ndị ozi ya ka ha gaa kpọọ mmadụ niile, site nʼebe dị elu nke obodo ka ha nọ na-akpọ oku na-asị,
4 “Who [is] simple? Let him turn aside here.” Whoever lacks heart: she has said to him,
“Bịanụ nʼụlọ m, unu ndị niile na-enweghị uche” Ma nye ndị amamihe kọrọ, ọ na-asị,
5 “Come, eat of my bread, And drink of the wine I have mingled.
“Bịanụ, rie nri m, ṅụọkwa mmanya m gwakọtara.
6 Forsake the simple and live, And be blessed in the way of understanding.”
Hapụnụ ụzọ enweghị uche unu, ka unu were dị ndụ; gbasokwanụ ụzọ mmụọ ịghọta ihe.”
7 The instructor of a scorner Is receiving for it—shame, And a reprover of the wicked—his blemish.
Onye ọbụla na-adọ onye na-akwa emo aka na ntị na-ewetara onwe ya nlelị; onye na-abara mmadụ ọjọọ mba na-enweta nkọcha.
8 Do not reprove a scorner, lest he hate you, Give reproof to the wise, and he loves you.
Abarala ndị na-akwa emo mba, ma ọ bụghị ya, ha ga-akpọ gị asị; baara ndị maara ihe mba, ha ga-ahụ gị nʼanya.
9 Give to the wise, and he is wiser still, Make known to the righteous, And he increases learning.
Kuziere onye maara ihe ihe o kwesiri ịmụta, ọ ga-ama ihe karịa, kuziere onye ziri ezi ihe ọ ga-atụkwasị ihe ọ mụtara nʼamamihe ya.
10 The commencement of wisdom [is] the fear of YHWH, And a knowledge of the Holy Ones [is] understanding.
Nʼihi na ịtụ egwu Onyenwe anyị bụ mmalite amamihe, inwe ihe ọmụma banyere onye Nsọ ahụ bụkwa nghọta.
11 For by me your days multiply, And years of life are added to you.
Nʼihi na ọ bụ site na amamihe, ka ụbọchị gị ga-adị ogologo. A ga-etinyekwara gị ọtụtụ afọ na ndụ gị.
12 If you have been wise, you have been wise for yourself, And you have scorned—you bear [it] alone.
Ị bụrụ onye nwere amamihe, amamihe gị ga-abara gị uru, ma ị bụrụ onye na-akwa emo, naanị gị ga-ata ahụhụ ya.
13 A foolish woman [is] noisy, Simple, and has not known what.
Nwanyị dị nzuzu na-eme mkpọtụ, o nweghị uche; ihere adịghịkwa eme ya.
14 And she has sat at the opening of her house, On a throne—the high places of the city,
Ọ na-anọ ọdụ nʼọnụ ụzọ ụlọ ya, nʼelu oche nʼebe dịkarịsịrị elu nʼobodo,
15 To call to those passing by the way, Who are going straight [on] their paths.
na-akpọ ndị na-aga nʼụzọ oku, bụ ndị na-aga mkpa ha,
16 “Who [is] simple? Let him turn aside here.” And whoever lacks heart—she said to him,
“Ka ndị niile amamihe kọrọ bịa nʼụlọ m.” Ọ na-asịkwa ndị na-enweghị uche,
17 “Stolen waters are sweet, And hidden bread is pleasant.”
“Mmiri e zutere nʼohi na-atọ ụtọ, nri e riri na nzuzo na-atọkarịkwa nʼụtọ.”
18 And he has not known that Rephaim [are] there, Her invited ones in deep places of Sheol! (Sheol )
Ma ha adịghị aghọta na ndị nʼadịghị ndụ nọ nʼebe ahụ, na ndị ọ kpọrọ oku nri aghọọlarị ndị nọ nʼala mmụọ. (Sheol )
