< Proverbs 7 >
1 My son! Keep my sayings, And lay up my commands with you.
Wiilkaygiiyow, erayadayda xaji, Oo amarradaydana xaggaaga ku kaydso.
2 Keep my commands, and live, And my law as the pupil of your eye.
Amarradayda xaji aad noolaatide, Oo sharcigaygana sida ishaada inankeeda u dhawr.
3 Bind them on your fingers, Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Farahaaga ku xidho, Oo looxa qalbigaagana ku qoro.
4 Say to wisdom, “You [are] my sister.” And cry to understanding, “Relative!”
Waxaad xigmadda ku tidhaahdaa, Adigu waxaad tahay walaashay, Oo waxgarashadana waxaad ugu yeedhaa, saaxiibadday gacalisoy,
5 To preserve you from a strange woman, From a stranger who has made her sayings smooth.
Si ay iyagu kaaga celiyaan naagta qalaad, Taasoo erayadeeda kugu sasabata.
6 For at a window of my house, I have looked out through my casement,
Waayo, anigoo jooga daaqadda gurigayga Ayaan shabagga daaqadda wax ka fiiriyey,
7 And I see among the simple ones, I discern among the sons, A young man lacking understanding,
Oo kuwa garaadka daran ayaan fiiriyey, oo waxaan barbaarrada ku dhex arkay Nin dhallinyaraa oo aan innaba waxgarasho lahayn,
8 Passing on in the street, near her corner, And the way [to] her house he steps,
Isagoo maraya dariiqa xaafaddeeda u dhow, Oo wuxuu raacay jidkii gurigeeda,
9 In the twilight—in the evening of day, In the darkness of night and blackness.
Oo waxay ahayd gabbaldhac oo makhribka ah, markii habeenkii madoobaanayay oo gudcur noqonayay.
10 And behold, a woman to meet him—(A harlot’s dress, and watchful of heart,
Oo bal eeg, waxaa isagii ka hor timid naag Sidii dhillo u lebbisan, oo qalbigeedu khiyaano miidhan yahay.
11 She [is] noisy, and stubborn, her feet do not rest in her house.
Iyadu waa rabshad badan tahay, waana caasiyad, Oo gurigeeda cag sooma dhigto.
12 Now in an out-place, now in broad places, And she lies in wait near every corner)—
Mar dibadday joogtaa, marna dariiqyaday maraysaa, Oo rukun kasta wax bay ku sugtaa.
13 And she laid hold on him and kissed him, She has hardened her face and says to him,
Haddaba isagii way qabsatay, oo dhunkatay; Iyadoo aan wejigeedu xishood lahayn ayay waxay isagii ku tidhi,
14 “Sacrifices of peace-offerings [are] by me, Today I have completed my vows.
Anigu waxaan hayaa allabaryo nabdeed, Oo maanta ayaan nidarradaydii bixiyey.
15 Therefore I have come forth to meet you, To earnestly seek your face, and I find you.
Haddaba waxaan u soo baxay inaan kula kulmo, Oo aan aad iyo aad wejigaaga u doondoono, waanan ku helay.
16 I decked my bed [with] ornamental coverings, Carved works—cotton of Egypt.
Sariirtaydii waxaan ku goglay durraaxado daabac leh, Iyo marooyin duntii Masar laga sameeyey.
17 I sprinkled my bed [with] myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
Waxaan sariirtaydii ku cadariyey Malmal iyo cuud iyo qorfe.
18 Come, we are filled [with] love until the morning, We delight ourselves in loves.
Kaalay, oo aan caashaq ka dheregno ilaa aroorta, Oo aynu jacayl ku faraxsanaanno.
19 For the man is not in his house, He has gone on a long journey.
Waayo, ninkaygii guriga ma joogo, Oo meel fog buu u sodcaalay,
20 He has taken a bag of money in his hand, At the day of the new moon he comes to his house.”
Kiish lacag ahna wuu qaatay, Oo wuxuu guriga ku soo noqon doonaa markuu dayaxu caddaado.
21 She turns him aside with the abundance of her speech, She forces him with the flattery of her lips.
Hadalkeedii badnaa oo macaanaa ayay isagii isku yeelsiisay, Oo waxay isagii ku qasabtay faankii beenta ahaa oo bushimeheeda.
22 He is going after her straight away, he comes as an ox to the slaughter, And as a chain to the discipline of a fool,
Oo haddiiba iyadii buu daba galay, Sidii dibi loo wado in la gowraco, Ama sidii nacas loo wado in silsilado lagu jebiyo,
23 Until an arrow splits his liver, As a bird has hurried to a snare, And has not known that it [is] for its life.
Jeer fallaadh beerka lagaga wareemo, Sida shimbiru dabinka degdeg ku gasho, Iyadoo aan ogayn in loo dhigay si nafteeda loo qaado.
24 And now, you sons, listen to me, And give attention to sayings of my mouth.
Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed, wiilashoy, bal i maqla, Oo erayada afkayga dhegaysta.
25 Do not let your heart turn to her ways, Do not wander in her paths,
Qalbigiinnu yaanu jidadkeeda u leexan, Oo waddooyinkeedana ha ku dhex habaabina.
26 For many [are] the wounded she caused to fall, And mighty [are] all her slain ones.
Waayo, iyadu waxay ridday kuwa badan oo dhaawacan, Sida xaqiiqada kuway laysay aad bay u badan yihiin.
27 The ways of Sheol—her house, Going down to inner chambers of death! (Sheol )
Gurigeedu waa jidkii She'ool, Oo wuxuu hoos ugu dhaadhacaa dhimashada qolladaheeda. (Sheol )
