< Proverbs 5 >

1 My son! Give attention to my wisdom, Incline your ear to my understanding,
Anaka, tandremo ny fahendreko, Ary atongilano ny sofinao ho amin’ ny fahalalako,
2 To observe thoughtfulness, And your lips keep knowledge.
Hiheveranao tsara ny fisainana mazava Sy hitandreman’ ny molotrao ny fahalalana.
3 For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, And her mouth [is] smoother than oil,
Fa ny molotry ny vehivavy jejo dia mitete toy ny tantely avy amin’ ny tohotra, Ary ny vavany dia malama noho ny diloilo;
4 And her latter end [is] bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a sword [with] mouths.
Nefa ny farany mangidy tahaka ny hazo mahafaty Ary maranitra hoatra ny sabatra roa lela.
5 Her feet are going down to death, Her steps take hold of Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Ny tongony midìna ho any amin’ ny fahafatesana, Ary ny diany mizotra ho any amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita. (Sheol h7585)
6 The path of life—lest you ponder, Her paths have moved—you do not know.
Tsy mahazo mandia ny lalan’ aina mihitsy izy, Fa manjenjena, ka tsy fantany akory izay halehany.
7 And now, you sons, listen to me, And do not turn from sayings of my mouth.
Koa mihainoa ahy, ry zanaka, Ary aza miala amin’ ny teny aloaky ny vavako.
8 Keep your way far from off her, And do not come near to the opening of her house,
Ampanalaviro azy ny alehanao, Ary aza manakaiky ny varavaran’ ny tranony;
9 Lest you give your splendor to others, And your years to the fierce,
Fandrao omenao ho an’ ny sasany ny voninahitrao, Ary ny taonanao ho an’ izay lozabe;
10 Lest strangers be filled [with] your power, And your labors in the house of a stranger,
Fandrao hivokisan’ ny vahiny ny fanananao; Ary izay nisasaranao ho tonga ao an-tranon’ ny vahiny;
11 And you have howled in your latter end, In the consumption of your flesh and your food,
Ka dia hitoloko ianao any am-parany, Raha mihalevona ny nofonao sy ny tenanao;
12 And have said, “How I have hated instruction, And my heart has despised reproof,
Dia hanao hoe ianao: Nahoana re no nankahala famaizana aho? Ary nahoana no naniratsira fanaranana ny foko,
13 And I have not listened to the voice of my teachers, And have not inclined my ear to my teachers.
Ka tsy nihaino ny tenin’ ny mpanoro hevitra ahy, Ary tsy nanongilana ny sofiko hihaino ny mpampianatra ahy?
14 As a little thing I have been all evil, In the midst of an assembly and a congregation.”
Efa saiky azon’ ny ratsy rehetra aho Tao amin’ ny fiangonana sy ny fivoriana.
15 Drink waters out of your own cistern, Even flowing ones out of your own well.
Misotroa rano avy amin’ ny lavaka famorian-dranonao ihany Sy rano miboiboika avy amin’ ny fantsakanao.
16 Let your fountains be scattered abroad, In broad places streams of waters.
Hipasaka eny ivelany va ny rano avy amin’ ny loharanonao, Ary eny an-dalambe ny rano velonao?
17 Let them be to you for yourself, And not to strangers with you.
Aoka ho anao irery ihany izany, Fa aza iombonana amin’ ny hafa.
18 Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice because of the wife of your youth,
Aoka hotahina ny loharanonao, Ary mifalia amin’ ny vadin’ ny fahatanoranao.
19 A doe of loves, and a roe of grace! Let her loves satisfy you at all times, Magnify yourself in her love continually.
Fa dieravavy mahate-ho-tia sy osi-dia tsara bika izy, Dia aoka ny tratrany no hahafeno fifaliana anao mandrakariva, Ary aoka ho feno faharavoravoana lalandava amin’ ny fitiavany ianao.
20 And why do you magnify yourself, My son, with a stranger? And embrace the bosom of a strange woman?
Nahoana ianao, anaka, no ho renoka amin’ ny fitiavana vehivavy jejo Ka hanohona ny tratran’ ny vahiny janga?
21 For the ways of each are before the eyes of YHWH, And He is pondering all his paths.
Fa eo imason’ i Jehovah ny alehan’ ny olona, Ary ny diany rehetra dia dinihiny avokoa.
22 His own iniquities capture the wicked, And he is holden with the ropes of his sin.
Ny heloky ny ratsy fanahy dia mahazo ny tenany ihany, Ary ny kofehin’ ny fahotany no itanana azy
23 He dies without instruction, And magnifies himself in the abundance of his folly!
Maty noho ny tsi-fahazoany famaizana izy, Eny, mikorapaka noho ny haben’ ny fahadalany.
