< Proverbs 30 >

1 Words of Agur, son of Jakeh, the burden, a declaration of the man to Ithiel—to Ithiel and Ucal: I have wearied myself [for] God, I have wearied myself [for] God, and am consumed.
Dagiti pagsasao ni Agur nga anak a lalaki ni Jakeh- ti mensahe manipud iti Dios: Imbutaktak daytoy a lalaki kenni Ithiel, kada Ithiel ken Ucal:
2 For I am more brutish than anyone, And do not have the understanding of a man.
Pudno nga ad-adda a kaslaak iti ayup ngem iti siasinoman a tao, ken awan ti pannakaawatko a kas iti tao.
3 Nor have I learned wisdom, Yet I know the knowledge of the Holy Ones.
Saanko a naadal ti kinasirib, wenno addaanak iti pannakaamo maipapan iti Nasantoan.
4 Who went up to the heavens, and comes down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound waters in a garment? Who established all ends of the earth? What [is] His Name? And what [is] His Son’s Name? Surely you know!
Siasino ti nagpangato iti langit ket bimmaba? Siasino ti nangurnong iti angin babaen kadagiti imana? Siasino ti nangurnong kadagiti danum babaen iti pagan-anayna? Siasino ti nangipatakder kadagiti amin a pungto ti daga? Ania ti naganna, ken ania ti nagan ti anakna? Sigurado nga ammoyo!
5 Every saying of God [is] tried, He [is] a shield to those trusting in Him.
Napadasen ti amin a sasao ti Dios, kalasag isuna kadagiti agkamkamang kenkuana.
6 Do not add to His words, lest He reason with you, And you have been found false.
Saanmo a nayonan dagiti sasaona, di la ket tubngarennaka, ket mapaneknekankanto nga ulbod.
7 Two things I have asked from You, Do not withhold from me before I die.
Dua a banag ti dawatek kenka, saanmo ida nga ipaidam kaniak sakbay a matayak:
8 Put vanity and a lying word far from me, Do not give poverty or wealth to me, Cause me to eat the bread of my portion,
Iyadayom kaniak ti kinaubbaw ken kinaulbod. Saanmo nga ited kaniak ti kinapanglaw wenno kinabaknang, itedmo laeng iti taraon a kasapulak.
9 Lest I become satiated, and have denied, And have said, “Who [is] YHWH?” And lest I am poor, and have stolen, And have laid hold of the Name of my God.
Ta no addaanak ti adu unay, ilibakkanto ken ibagak a, “Siasino ni Yahweh?” Wenno no pumanglawak, agtakawakto ket ibabainkonto ti nagan ti Diosko.
10 Do not accuse a servant to his lord, Lest he disapprove of you, and you are found guilty.
Saanmo a dadaelen ti dayaw ti tagabu iti sangoanan ti amona, di la ket ilunodnaka ket agbiddutka.
11 A generation lightly esteems their father, And does not bless their mother.
Ti maysa a henerasion a mangilunod iti amada ken saanda a bendisionan ti inada,
12 A generation—pure in their own eyes, But not washed from their own filth.
dayta ti henerasion a nadalus kadagiti bukodda a mata, ngem saanda a nadalusan manipud kadagiti rugitda.
13 A generation—how high are their eyes, Indeed, their eyelids are lifted up.
Dayta ti henerasion—anian a nagtangsit dagiti matada ken nakangato dagiti kalub ti matada! —
14 A generation—their teeth [are] swords, And their jaw-teeth [are] knives, To consume the poor from earth, And the needy from [among] men.
isuda ti henerasion a kasla kampilan dagiti ngipenda, ken kampit dagiti pangalda, tapno sikbabenda dagiti napanglaw iti daga ken dagiti agkasapulan manipud iti sangkataoan.
15 To the leech [are] two daughters—Give! Give! Behold, three things are not satisfied, Four have not said “Sufficiency”;
Adda dua nga annak a babai ti alinta? “Ikkannak ken ikkannak,” ti sangitda. Adda tallo a banag a saan pulos a mapmapnek, uppat a saan pulos a mangibaga iti “Uston”:
16 Sheol, and a restrained womb, Earth—it [is] not satisfied [with] water, And fire—it has not said, “Sufficiency,” (Sheol h7585)
Lubong dagiti natay, ti aanakan a saan a makaipaay iti anak, ti daga a mawaw iti danum ken ti apuy a saan pulos a mangibaga iti “Uston.” (Sheol h7585)
17 An eye that mocks at a father, And despises to obey a mother, Ravens of the valley dig it out, And young eagles eat it.
Ti mata a mang-uyaw iti ama, ken ti mang-uyaw iti panagtulnog iti ina, sippetento nga iruar dagiti uwak iti tanap dagiti matana, ket kanento isuna dagiti buitre.
18 Three things have been too wonderful for me, Indeed, four that I have not known:
Adda tallo a nakaskasdaaw unay para kaniak, uppat a saanko a maawatan:
19 The way of the eagle in the heavens, The way of a serpent on a rock, The way of a ship in the heart of the sea, And the way of a man in youth.
ti dalan ti agila iti langit; ti dalan ti uleg iti bato; ti dalan ti bangka iti tengnga ti baybay; ken ti wagas ti lalaki iti balasang.
20 So—the way of an adulterous woman, She has eaten and has wiped her mouth, And has said, “I have not done iniquity.”
Daytoy ti wagas ti makikamkammalala—mangan isuna sana punasan ti ngiwatna ken ibagana nga “Awan ti nagbasolak”
21 For three things has earth been troubled, And for four—it is not able to bear:
Kadagiti tallo a banag agkintayeg ti daga, ti maikauppat ti saanna a maibturan:
22 For a servant when he reigns, And a fool when he is satisfied with bread,
ti tagabu nga agbalin nga ari; no mabsog iti taraon ti maag;
23 For a hated one when she rules, And a maidservant when she succeeds her mistress.
no makiassawa ti babai a mabusbusor, ken no sublaten ti babaonen ti saad ti amona a babai.
24 Four [are] little ones of earth, And they are made wiser than the wise:
Uppat a banbanag iti daga ket babassit ngem nasisiribda unay:
25 The ants [are] a people not strong, And they prepare their food in summer,
dagiti kuton ket parsua a saan a nabileg, ngem agisagsaganada kadagiti taraonda iti kalgaw;
26 hyraxes [are] a people not strong, And they place their house in a rock,
dagiti koneho ket saan a napigsa a parsua, ngem ar-aramidenda dagiti pagtaenganda kadagiti batbato.
27 There is no king to the locust, And it goes out—each one shouting,
Dagiti dudon ket awan ti arida, ngem nakalinyada amin nga agmartia.
28 A spider with two hands takes hold, And is in the palaces of a king.
Kadagiti alutiit, maiggamam daytoy kadagiti imam, ngem masarakan ida kadagiti palasio dagiti ari.
29 There are three going well, Indeed, four are good in going:
Adda tallo a nalimbong iti addangda, uppat a nalimbong iti pannagnada:
30 An old lion—mighty among beasts, That does not turn back from the face of any,
ti leon, ti kapigsaan kadagiti amin nga atap nga ayup- saan a tumallikud daytoy iti aniaman;
31 A girt one of the loins, Also a male goat, And a king—troops with him.
maysa a nataer a kawitan; maysa a kalding, ken maysa nga ari nga adda iti abayna dagiti soldadona.
32 If you have been foolish in lifting yourself up, And if you have devised evil—hand to mouth!
No nagbalinka a maag, a mangidaydayaw iti bagim, wenno no agpangpanggepka iti dakes- iyaputmo ti imam iti ngiwatmo.
33 For the churning of milk brings out butter, And the wringing of the nose brings out blood, And the forcing of anger brings out strife!
Kas iti panangbatil iti gatas a mangpatpataud iti mantikilya, ken kas iti panagdara ti agong ti maysa a tao no matiritir daytoy, kastoy met laeng ti mapasamak iti unget a mangpataud ti apa.
