< Proverbs 3 >
1 My son! Do not forget my law, And let your heart keep my commands,
O anake, ko haliño o entakoo le ampañambeno ty tro’o o lilikoo,
2 For [the] length of [your] days and years, Life and peace they add to you.
Le halavan’andro naho taon-kavelo vaho fierañerañañe ty hatovoñ’ ama’o.
3 Do not let kindness and truth forsake you, Bind them on your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,
Ko ado’o hieng’azo ty fatarihañe naho ty hatò; rohizo am-bozo’o eo, sokiro an-takelan-tro’o ao,
4 And find grace and good understanding In the eyes of God and man.
hahaoniña’o hamaràm-bintañe vaho tahinañe soa ampivazohoan’ Añahare naho ondatio.
5 Trust to YHWH with all your heart, And do not lean to your own understanding.
Miatoa am’ Iehovà an-kaampon-tro’o vaho ko iatoa’o ty hilala’o;
6 In all your ways know Him, And He makes your paths straight.
Iantofo amy ze hene lia’o, le ho vantañe’e o lala’oo.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes, Fear YHWH, and turn aside from evil.
Ko manao mahihitse a maso’o; mirevendreveña am’ Iehovà vaho ihankaño ty hatsivokarañe,
8 It is healing to your navel, And moistening to your bones.
ie ho fijangañan-tsandri’o, vaho fameloman-taola’o.
9 Honor YHWH from your substance, And from the beginning of all your increase;
Iasio t’Iehovà amo vara’oo, naho ami’ty lohavoa’ o nampitomboe’oo;
10 And your barns are filled [with] plenty, And your presses break forth [with] new wine.
Le handopolopo, hamopòke ty an-driha’o ao vaho handopatse divay vao o sajoa’oo.
11 Discipline of YHWH, my son, do not despise, And do not be distressed with His reproof,
O anake, ko sirikae’o ty fandilova’ Iehovà ko heje’o o fañendaha’eo,
12 For whom YHWH loves He reproves, Even as a father the son He is pleased with.
fa lilove’ Iehovà ty kokoa’e, hambañe ami’ty rae i anadahy ampokofe’ey.
13 O the blessedness of a man [who] has found wisdom, And of a man [who] brings forth understanding.
Haha t’ indaty mahaonin-kihitse, naho t’indaty itomboan-kilala,
14 For better [is] her merchandise Than the merchandise of silver, And than gold—her increase.
fa lombolombo ty fitomboam-bolafoty ty fibodobodoa’e, vaho ambonem-bolamena ty havokara’e.
15 She [is] precious above rubies, And all your pleasures are not comparable to her.
Sarotse te amo safirao vaho tsy amo salalae’oo ty mañirinkiriñ’aze.
16 Length of days [is] in her right hand, In her left [are] wealth and honor.
Lava-havelo ty am-pitàn-kavana’e vara naho asiñe ro am-pitàn-kavia’e.
17 Her ways [are] ways of pleasantness, And all her paths [are] peace.
Lalam-panintsiñañe o lala’eo, vaho fierañerañañe o lalam-pandia’eo.
18 She [is] a tree of life to those laying hold on her, And whoever is retaining her [is] blessed.
Hataen-kavelon-dre amo mivontititse ama’eo; naho hene haha ze mamejañe aze.
19 YHWH founded the earth by wisdom, He prepared the heavens by understanding.
Hihitse ty nañoriza’ Iehovà ty tane toy; Hilala ty nampijadoña’e o likerañeo;
20 By His knowledge depths have been broken, And clouds drop dew.
O hilala’eo ro ampiborahañe o lalekeo, vaho ampitsopaha’ o rahoñeo mika.
21 My son! Do not let them turn from your eyes, Keep wisdom and thoughtfulness,
O anake, asoao tsy hisitake am-pahatreava’o ao o raha zao: vontitiro ty hihitse to naho ty filieram-batañe,
22 And they are life to your soul, and grace to your neck.
hamelombeloñe ty tro’o, naho handravake ty vozo’o.
23 Then you go your way confidently, And your foot does not stumble.
Le handena’o an-kanintsiñe ty lia’o, vaho tsy hikotrofotse ty tombo’o.
24 If you lie down, you are not afraid, Indeed, you have lain down, And your sleep has been sweet.
Tsy ho hembañe te mandre; eka ie mihitsy, ho mamy ty firoro’o.
25 Do not be afraid of sudden fear, And of the desolation of the wicked when it comes.
Ko mianifañe te ivotraha’ ty mampangebahebake, ndra ty fampiantoañe o lo-tserekeo te mifetsake.
26 For YHWH is at your side, And He has kept your foot from capture.
fa Iehovà ro hatokisa’o naho hitañe ty tombo’o tsy ho fandriheñe.
27 Do not withhold good from its owners, When your hand [is] toward God to do [it].
Ko tana’o ami’ty mañeva ty soa, naho an-taña’o ty mahaeneñe aze.
28 Do not say to your friend, “Go, and return, and tomorrow I give,” When substance [is] with you.
Ko manao ty hoe am’ondatio: Akia hey, le mibaliha, vaho hamaray ty hanolorako azo— ie ama’o ao avao.
29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, And he sitting confidently with you.
Ko mikitro-draty am’ ondatio, ie mimoneñe am-patokisañe marine’ azo.
30 Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has not done you evil.
Ko liera’o tsi-aman-tali’e ty ondaty tsy nanjoam-boiñe.
31 Do not be envious of a man of violence, Nor fix on any of his ways.
Ko tsikirihe’o t’indaty piaroteñe vaho ko joboñe’o o sata’eo;
32 For the perverted [is] an abomination to YHWH, And His secret counsel [is] with the upright.
tiva am’ Iehovà ty mengoke; fe itraofa’e safiry ty vantañe.
33 The curse of YHWH [is] in the house of the wicked. And He blesses the habitation of the righteous.
Nafà’ Iehovà ty akiba’ o lo-tserekeo, fe tahie’e ty kivoho’ o vantañeo.
34 If He scorns the scorners, Yet He gives grace to the humble.
Toe ati’e o mpanitseo, fe isohe’e ty mpireke.
35 The wise inherit glory, And fools are bearing away shame!
Handova hasiñe o mahihitseo, fa onjone’ o seretseo ka ty mahasalatse.
