< Proverbs 29 >

1 A man often reproved, hardening the neck, Is suddenly broken, and there is no healing.
Haitoañe aniany, tsy amañ’aoly, ty gan-katoke beteke endahañe.
2 In the multiplying of the righteous the people rejoice, And in the ruling of the wicked the people sigh.
Ie miraorao o vantañeo, mirebeke ondatio, fa ie mifehe ty lo-tsereke, miñeoñeoñe ondatio.
3 A man loving wisdom makes his father glad, And a friend of harlots destroys wealth.
Mahaehak’ an-drae t’indaty mikoko hihitse, fe mampianto vara ty mpiaman-tsimirirañe.
4 A king establishes a land by judgment, And one receiving gifts throws it down.
Ampijadoña’ i mpanjakay an-katò ty tane’e, fe mihotrake t’ie mandrambe vokàñe.
5 A man taking a portion above his neighbor, Spreads a net for his own steps.
Mandafike harato ho am-pandia’e eo t’indaty mitsiriry rañetse.
6 A snare [is] in the transgression of the evil, And the righteous sing and rejoice.
Fiolàñe ty mamandrike i lo-tserekey, fe misabo naho mirebeke ty mahity.
7 The righteous knows the plea of the poor, The wicked does not understand knowledge.
Haoñe’ ty vantañe ty zo’ o rarakeo, fe tsy apota’ i lo-tserekey i hilala zay.
8 Men of scorning ensnare a city, And the wise turn back anger.
Mamofotse ty rova, ondaty mañivañivao, fe mampivio-kabosehañe o mahihitseo.
9 A wise man is judged by the foolish man, And he has been angry, And he has laughed, and there is no rest.
Ie mifandietse ami’ty dagola ty mahihitse, le ifanampea’ ty filoroloroañe naho fanivetiveañe tsy mijihetse.
10 Men of blood hate the perfect, And the upright seek his soul.
Heje’ o mpampiori-dioo ty vañoñe; le i vantañey, paia’ iareo ty fiai’e.
11 A fool brings out all his mind, And the wise restrains it until afterward.
Fonga abora’ i dagolay ty tro’e, fe kalaña’ i mahihitsey am-pianjiñañe ao ty aze.
12 A ruler who is attending to lying words, All his ministers [are] wicked.
Ie mañaom-bande ty mpifehe, miha raty iaby o roandria’eo.
13 The poor and the man of frauds have met together, YHWH is enlightening the eyes of them both.
Ty fihambaña’ i rarakey naho o mpamorekekeo: Iehovà ty mañazava ty fihaino’ i roe rey.
14 A king that is judging the poor with truth, His throne is established forever.
Ie mizaka o rarakeo an-kahiti’e ty mpanjaka, le hijadoñe kitro añ’afe’e i fiambesa’ey.
15 A rod and reproof give wisdom, And a youth let away is shaming his mother.
Mpanolo-hihitse ty kobay naho ty endake, fe manalatse rene ty anake manao tsidaredare.
16 In the multiplying of the wicked transgression multiplies, And the righteous look on their fall.
Ie mionjoñe o tsivokatseo, mitombo ty fiolàñe, fe ho sambae’ i vañoñey ty fifotsaha’ iareo.
17 Discipline your son, and he gives you comfort, Indeed, he gives delights to your soul.
Lilovo ty ana’o, le hampanintsiña’e, vaho hampinembanembae’e ty arofo’o.
18 A people is made naked without a vision, And whoever is keeping the Law, O his blessedness!
Ie po-aroñarom-pitokiañe, le hahifi’ ondatio añe ty filieram-batañe, haha ka ze mahatan-Kàke.
19 By words a servant is not instructed though he understand, And there is nothing answering.
Tsy mahafanoro ty ondevo t’ie saontsieñe avao, ndra te azo’e tsy haoñe’e.
20 You have seen a man hasty in his words! More hope of a fool than of him.
Inao t’indaty taentaeneñe am-pisaontsi’e, bey fitamàñe ty dagola te ama’e.
21 Whoever is bringing up his servant delicately, from youth, [At] his latter end he is also continuator.
I mañaonkaom-pitoroñe boak’amy faha-ajaja’eiy, ro hanjo aze mpandova am-para’e.
22 An angry man stirs up contention, And a furious man is multiplying transgression.
Mpitrobo fitribahañe ty boseke, vaho lako fiolàñe ty mpidabadoa.
23 The pride of man humbles him, And humility of spirit upholds honor.
Mamotsake ondaty ty habohaboha’e, fe asiñeñe ty mpireke añ’arofo.
24 Whoever is sharing with a thief is hating his own soul, He hears execration, and does not tell.
Malaim-batañe ty mpireketse ami’ty mpampikametse, tsanoña’e i sisìy, f’ie tsy mitalily.
25 Fear of man causes a snare, And the confident in YHWH is set on high.
Miafara ho fandrike ty fihembañañe ama’ ondaty; fe honjoneñe ty miato am’ Iehovà.
26 Many are seeking the face of a ruler, And the judgment of each [is] from YHWH.
Maro ty mipay ty fañisoham-pifehe, fa Iehovà ro ahazoa’ t’indaty to.
27 The perverse man [is] an abomination to the righteous, And the upright in the way [is] an abomination to the wicked!
Tiva amo vañoñeo t’indaty tsy to; fe veta amy lo-tserekey ty vantañe am-pañaveloa’e.
