Proverbs 27
1 Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day brings forth.

2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth, A stranger, and not your own lips.

3 A stone [is] heavy, and the sand [is] heavy, And the anger of a fool Is heavier than them both.

4 Fury [is] fierce, and anger [is] overflowing, And who stands before jealousy?
Kasrkusrak el sulallal ac orala ongoiya lulap, tusruktu tia apkuran nu ke lemta!
5 Better [is] open reproof than hidden love.
Wo in aksuwosye sie mwet lemtulauk, liki na in fuhlela elan nunku mu wangin nunak lom kacl.
6 The wounds of a lover are faithful, And the kisses of an enemy [are] abundant.
Sie mwet kawuk el nunak pwaye nu sum el finne kai kom, a kom in taran sie mwet lokoalok su akukula nu sum.
7 A satiated soul treads down a honeycomb, And every bitter thing [is] sweet [to] a hungry soul.
Pacl se kom kihpi uh kom ac srunga kang honey, tusruktu pacl kom masrinsral, finne mongo mukol ac emwem sum.
8 As a bird wandering from her nest, So [is] a man wandering from his place.
Sie mwet su muta loes liki acn sel oana sie won ma som loes liki ahng lal.
9 Perfume and incense make the heart glad, And the sweetness of one’s friend—from counsel of the soul.
Ono keng ac mwe akmusra keng uh mwe akinsewowoye kom, a mwe lokoalok uh kunausla inse misla lom.
10 Do not forsake your own friend and the friend of your father, And do not enter the house of your brother in a day of your calamity, A near neighbor [is] better than a brother far off.
Nimet mulkunla mwet kawuk lom ku kawuk lun papa tomom. Kom fin sun ongoiya, nimet siyuk tamulel lom in kasrekom; sie mwet tulan su muta apkuran nu yurum ku in kasrekom liki sie tamulel su muta loesla.
11 Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad, And I return a word [to] my reproacher.
Tulik nutik, kom in lalmwetmet ac nga fah arulana engan; nga fah ku in topuk mwet nukewa su akkolukyeyu.
12 The prudent has seen the evil, he is hidden, The simple have passed on, they are punished.
Ke pacl se mwe lokoalok tuku, mwet etu elos ac fahsr liki; a sie mwet wangin nunak la ac fahsryang nu kac, na toko el auli.
13 Take his garment when a stranger has been guarantor, And pledge it for a strange woman.
Sie mwet su wulela in fosrngakin soemoul lun sie mwetsac, el enenu in sang nuknuk lal sifacna in mwe akpwaye nu ke soemoul el wuleang kac.
14 Whoever is greeting his friend with a loud voice, Rising early in the morning, It is reckoned a light thing to him.
Kom fin sala okasak mwet kawuk lom ke sie pusra lulap ke lututang, ac fah oana kom in filiya sie selnga nu facl.
15 A continual dropping in a day of rain, And a woman of contentions are alike,
Sie mutan payuk su lungsena torkaskas, el oana pusren tultul in kof ke len af uh.
16 Whoever is hiding her has hidden the wind, And the ointment of his right hand calls out.
Kom ac oru fuka elan misla? Ya nu oasr pacl kom srike in tulokinya eng uh, ku sruokya mwe akmusra luin poum?
17 Iron is sharpened by iron, And a man sharpens the face of his friend.
Mwet uh alutluti sie sin sie, oana ke osra uh ac sang tamla osra.
18 The keeper of a fig tree eats its fruit, And the preserver of his master is honored.
Kom fin karingin soko sak fig, kom ac fah kang fahko kac. Sie mwet kulansap su karingin mwet kacto lal, fah akfulatyeyuk.
19 As [in] water the face [is] to face, So the heart of man to man.
Ngunin motom sifacna pa kom liye in kof uh, ac insiom pa fahkak ouiyom sifacna.
Kena lun mwet uh tia ku in safla — oana ke facl lun mwet misa tia ku in nwanala. (Sheol h7585)
21 A refining pot [is] for silver, and a furnace for gold, And a man according to his praise.
E uh pa likliki gold ac silver; ac elahn sie mwet kalem ke kaksak lun mwet uh.
22 If you beat the foolish in a mortar, Among washed things—with a pestle, His folly does not turn aside from off him.
Kom finne sringil sie mwet lalfon nwe ke el apkuran in misa, kom tia ku in sisla lalfon lal.
23 Know the face of your flock well, Set your heart to the droves,
Karinganang sheep ac nani nutum akwoya,
24 For riches [are] not for all time, Nor a crown to generation and generation.

25 The hay was revealed, and the tender grass seen, And the herbs of mountains gathered.
Pakela mah nun sheep ac nani uh, ac ke kom soano in sifil srunak, kom ku in eisani mah pe eol uh.
26 Lambs [are] for your clothing, And the price of the field [are] male goats,
Kom ku in orala nuknuk ke unen sheep nutum, ac moul acn ke mani kom sruokya ke nani ma kom kukakunla.
27 And a sufficiency of goats’ milk [is] for your bread, For bread to your house, and life to your girls!
Na kom, ac sou lom wi mutan kulansap lom, fah ku in nim milk ke nani lula uh.
