Proverbs 21
1 The heart of a king [is] streams of waters in the hand of YHWH, He inclines it wherever He pleases.
೧ರಾಜನ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ನೀರಿನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳಂತೆ ಇವೆ, ಆತನು ತನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
2 Every way of a man [is] right in his own eyes, And YHWH is pondering hearts.
೨ನರನ ನಡತೆಯು ಸ್ವಂತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತವೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನೇ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.
3 To do righteousness and judgment, Is chosen of YHWH rather than sacrifice.
೩ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ.
4 Loftiness of eyes, and breadth of heart, Tillage of the wicked [is] sin.
೪ಗರ್ವದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ, ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಹೃದಯ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಭಾಗ್ಯ, ಇವು ಧರ್ಮವಿರುದ್ಧ.
5 The purposes of the diligent [are] only to advantage, And of every hasty one, only to want.
೫ಶ್ರಮಶೀಲರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಯತ್ನಗಳಿಂದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ, ಆತುರಪಡುವವರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊರತೆಯೇ.
6 The making of treasures by a lying tongue, [Is] a vanity driven away of those seeking death.
೬ಸುಳ್ಳಿನಿಂದ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಹಬೆಯಂತೆ ಅಸ್ಥಿರ, ಮೃತ್ಯುಪಾಶದಂತೆ ನಾಶಕರ.
7 The spoil of the wicked catches them, Because they have refused to do judgment.
೭ದುಷ್ಟರು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವ ಕಾರಣ, ಅವರ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ಅವರನ್ನೇ ಎಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು.
8 The way of a man who is vile [is] contrary, And the pure—his work [is] upright.
೮ದೋಷಿಯ ದಾರಿ ಡೊಂಕು; ಶುದ್ಧನ ನಡತೆ ಸರಳ.
9 Better to sit on a corner of the roof, Than [with] a woman of contentions and a house of company.
೯ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗಳಗಂಟಿಯ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಮಾಳಿಗೆಯ ಒಂದು ಮೂಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವುದೇ ಲೇಸು.
10 The soul of the wicked has desired evil, his neighbor is not gracious in his eyes.
೧೦ದುರಾತ್ಮನು ಕೇಡಿನ ಮೇಲೇ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಡುವನು ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೂ ದಯೆತೋರಿಸನು.
11 When the scorner is punished, the simple becomes wise, And in giving understanding to the wise He receives knowledge.
೧೧ಧರ್ಮನಿಂದಕನಿಗೆ ದಂಡನೆಯಾದರೆ ನೋಡಿದ ಮೂಢನೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಾದರೆ ತಾನೇ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು.
12 The Righteous One is acting wisely Toward the house of the wicked, He is overthrowing the wicked for wickedness.
೧೨ನೀತಿಸ್ವರೂಪನು ಅಧರ್ಮಿಯ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು, ಅಧರ್ಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ತಳ್ಳುವನು.
13 Whoever is shutting his ear from the cry of the poor, He also cries, and is not answered.
೧೩ಬಡವನ ಕೂಗಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು, ತಾನೇ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವಾಗ ಯಾರೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡರು.
14 A gift in secret pacifies anger, And a bribe in the bosom—strong fury.
೧೪ಗುಪ್ತ ಬಹುಮಾನವು ಕೋಪವನ್ನಾರಿಸುವುದು, ಮಡಲಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟ ಲಂಚವು ಕ್ರೋಧವನ್ನು ಅಣಗಿಸುವುದು.
15 To do justice [is] joy to the righteous, But ruin to workers of iniquity.
೧೫ನ್ಯಾಯಮಾರ್ಗವು ಶಿಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷ, ಕೆಡುಕರಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು.
16 A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, Rests in an assembly of Rephaim.
೧೬ಜ್ಞಾನಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿದವನಿಗೆ, ಪ್ರೇತಸಮೂಹವೇ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಸ್ಥಾನ.
17 Whoever [is] loving mirth [is] a poor man, Whoever is loving wine and oil makes no wealth.
೧೭ಭೋಗಾಸಕ್ತನು ಕೊರತೆಪಡುವನು, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸುಗಂಧ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಆಶಿಸುವವನು ನಿರ್ಭಾಗ್ಯನಾಗುವನು.
18 The wicked [is] an atonement for the righteous, And the treacherous dealer for the upright.
೧೮ಶಿಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ದುಷ್ಟನೂ, ಸತ್ಯವಂತರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ದ್ರೋಹಿಯೂ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಈಡಾಗುವರು.
19 Better to dwell in a wilderness land, Than [with] a woman of contentions and anger.
೧೯ಕಾಡುವ ಜಗಳಗಂಟಿಯ ಸಹವಾಸಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಕಾಡಿನ ವಾಸವೇ ಲೇಸು.
20 A treasure to be desired, and oil, [Is] in the habitation of the wise, And a foolish man swallows it up.
೨೦ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯ ನಿವಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯು ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಇರುವವು, ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನನು ಇದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವನು.
21 Whoever is pursuing righteousness and kindness, Finds life, righteousness, and honor.
೨೧ನೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃಪೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವನು ಜೀವ ಮತ್ತು ಕೀರ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು.
22 The wise has gone up a city of the mighty, And brings down the strength of its confidence.
೨೨ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ, ಅವರು ನಂಬಿದ್ದ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಕುವನು.
23 Whoever is keeping his mouth and his tongue, Is keeping his soul from adversities.
೨೩ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನೂ, ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಾಯುವವನು ತೊಂದರೆಗಳಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
24 Proud, haughty, scorner—his name, Who is working in the wrath of pride.
೨೪“ಧರ್ಮನಿಂದಕ” ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಸೊಕ್ಕೇರಿದ ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ, ಗರ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಮದದಿಂದ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಿಸುವನು.
25 The desire of the slothful slays him, For his hands have refused to work.
೨೫ಸೋಮಾರಿಯ ಆಶೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದು, ಅವನ ಕೈಗಳು ದುಡಿಯಲಾರವು.
26 All the day desiring he has desired, And the righteous gives and does not withhold.
೨೬ಧರ್ಮಿಯು ಹಿಂತೆಗೆಯದೆ ಕೊಡುವನು, ಲೋಭಿಯು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವನು.
27 The sacrifice of the wicked [is] abomination, Much more when he brings it in wickedness.
೨೭ದುಷ್ಟರ ಯಜ್ಞವೇ ಅಸಹ್ಯ, ಅದನ್ನು ದುರ್ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತೂ ಅಸಹ್ಯ.
28 A false witness perishes, And an attentive man speaks forever.
೨೮ಸುಳ್ಳು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವುದು, ಕೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುವವನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
29 A wicked man has hardened by his face, And the upright—he prepares his way.
೨೯ದುಷ್ಟನ ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಜ್ಜೆಯಿಲ್ಲ, ಸತ್ಯವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವನು.
30 There is no wisdom, nor understanding, Nor counsel against YHWH.
೩೦ಯಾವ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ, ಯಾವ ವಿವೇಕವೂ, ಯಾವ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವನೆದುರಿಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
31 A horse is prepared for a day of battle, And the deliverance [is] of YHWH!
೩೧ಅಶ್ವಬಲವು ಯುದ್ಧದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸನ್ನದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಜಯವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಲೇ.
