Proverbs 15
1 A soft answer turns back fury, And a grievous word raises up anger.
Un răspuns blând înlătură furia, dar cuvintele apăsătoare întărâtă mânia.
2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge good, And the mouth of fools utters folly.
Limba înțelepților folosește corect cunoașterea, dar gura proștilor revarsă nechibzuință.
3 The eyes of YHWH are in every place, Watching the evil and the good.
Ochii DOMNULUI sunt în fiecare loc, privind răul și binele.
4 A healed tongue [is] a tree of life, And perverseness in it—a breach in the spirit.
O limbă sănătoasă este un pom al vieții, dar perversitate în ea este o spărtură în duh.
5 A fool despises the instruction of his father, And whoever is regarding reproof is prudent.
Un nebun disprețuiește instruirea tatălui său, dar cel ce dă atenție mustrării este chibzuit.
6 Abundant strength [is in] the house of the righteous, And in the increase of the wicked—trouble.
În casa celui drept este mult tezaur, dar în veniturile celui stricat este tulburare.
7 The lips of the wise scatter knowledge, And the heart of fools [is] not right.
Buzele celor înțelepți răspândesc cunoaștere, dar inima proștilor nu face la fel.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination to YHWH, And the prayer of the upright [is] His delight.
Sacrificiul celor stricați este urâciune pentru DOMNUL, dar rugăciunea celor integri este desfătarea lui.
9 The way of the wicked [is] an abomination to YHWH, And He loves whoever is pursuing righteousness.
Calea celui stricat este urâciune pentru DOMNUL, dar el iubește pe cel ce urmează dreptatea.
10 Discipline [is] grievous to him who is forsaking the path, Whoever is hating reproof dies.
Disciplinarea este apăsătoare pentru cel ce părăsește calea, iar cel ce urăște mustrarea va muri.
11 Sheol and destruction [are] before YHWH, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
Iad și distrugere sunt înaintea DOMNULUI; cu cât mai mult sunt atunci inimile copiilor oamenilor. (Sheol h7585)
12 A scorner does not love his reprover, He does not go to the wise.
Un batjocoritor nu iubește pe cel care îl mustră, nici nu se va duce la cei înțelepți.
13 A joyful heart makes the face glad, And the spirit is struck by grief of heart.
O inimă veselă face înfățișarea voioasă, dar prin întristarea inimii duhul este frânt.
14 The heart of the intelligent seeks knowledge, And the mouth of fools enjoys folly.
Inima celui ce are înțelegere caută cunoaștere, dar gura proștilor se hrănește din nechibzuință.
15 All the days of the afflicted [are] evil, And gladness of heart [is] a perpetual banquet.
Toate zilele celui nenorocit sunt rele, dar cel cu o inimă veselă are un ospăț neîncetat.
16 Better [is] a little with the fear of YHWH, Than much treasure, and tumult with it.
Mai bine puțin, cu teamă de DOMNUL, decât mare tezaur cu tulburare.
17 Better [is] an allowance of green herbs and love there, Than a fatted ox, and hatred with it.
Mai bine o masă cu verdețuri unde este iubire, decât boul legat la iesle și ura cu el.
18 A man of fury stirs up contention, And the slow to anger appeases strife.
Un om furios stârnește certuri, dar cel încet la mânie liniștește cearta.
19 The way of the slothful [is] as a hedge of briers, And the path of the upright is raised up.
Calea leneșului este ca o îngrăditură de spini, dar calea celor drepți este netezită.
20 A wise son makes a father glad. And a foolish man is despising his mother.
Un fiu înțelept face veselie tatălui, dar un om prost disprețuiește pe mama sa.
21 Folly is joy to one lacking heart, And a man of intelligence directs [his] going.
Nechibzuința este bucurie pentru cel lipsit de înțelepciune, dar un om al înțelegerii umblă cu integritate.
22 The making void of purposes [is] without counsel, And in a multitude of counselors it is established.
Fără sfat, scopurile sunt dezamăgite, dar în mulțimea sfătuitorilor sunt ele întemeiate.
23 Joy [is] to a man in the answer of his mouth, And a word in its season—how good!
Un om are bucurie prin răspunsul gurii sale; și ce bun este un cuvânt spus la timpul potrivit!
Pentru cel înțelept calea vieții este deasupra, ca el să se depărteze de iadul de dedesubt. (Sheol h7585)
25 YHWH pulls down the house of the proud, And He sets up the border of the widow.
DOMNUL va dărâma casa celui mândru, dar el va întemeia hotarul văduvei.
26 Thoughts of wickedness [are] an abomination to YHWH, And sayings of pleasantness [are] pure.
Gândurile celor stricați sunt urâciune pentru DOMNUL, dar cuvintele celor puri sunt cuvinte plăcute.
27 A dishonest gainer is troubling his house, And whoever is hating gifts lives.
Cel lacom de câștig își tulbură casa, dar cel ce urăște mitele, va trăi.
28 The heart of the righteous meditates to answer, And the mouth of the wicked utters evil things.
Inima celui drept studiază ca să răspundă, dar gura celor stricați revarsă lucruri rele.
29 YHWH [is] far from the wicked, And He hears the prayer of the righteous.
DOMNUL este departe de cei stricați, dar el ascultă rugăciunea celor drepți.
30 The light of the eyes makes the heart glad, A good report makes the bone fat.
Lumina ochilor bucură inima, și o veste bună îngrașă oasele.
31 An ear that is hearing the reproof of life Lodges among the wise.
Urechea care ascultă mustrarea vieții locuiește printre cei înțelepți.
32 Whoever is refusing instruction is despising his soul, And whoever is hearing reproof Is getting understanding.
Cel ce refuză instruirea își disprețuiește propriul său suflet, dar cel ce ascultă mustrarea obține înțelegere.
33 The fear of YHWH [is] the instruction of wisdom, And humility [is] before honor!
Teama de DOMNUL este instruirea înțelepciunii, și înaintea onoarei este umilința.
