Proverbs 15
1 A soft answer turns back fury, And a grievous word raises up anger.
Milda respondo kvietigas koleron; Sed malmola vorto ekscitas koleron.
2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge good, And the mouth of fools utters folly.
La lango de saĝuloj bonigas la instruon; Sed la buŝo de malsaĝuloj elparolas sensencaĵon.
3 The eyes of YHWH are in every place, Watching the evil and the good.
Sur ĉiu loko estas la okuloj de la Eternulo; Ili vidas la malbonulojn kaj bonulojn.
4 A healed tongue [is] a tree of life, And perverseness in it—a breach in the spirit.
Milda lango estas arbo de vivo; Sed malbonparola rompas la spiriton.
5 A fool despises the instruction of his father, And whoever is regarding reproof is prudent.
Malsaĝulo malŝatas la instruon de sia patro; Sed kiu plenumas la admonon, tiu estas prudenta.
6 Abundant strength [is in] the house of the righteous, And in the increase of the wicked—trouble.
En la domo de virtulo estas multe da trezoroj; Sed en la profito de malvirtulo estas pereo.
7 The lips of the wise scatter knowledge, And the heart of fools [is] not right.
La buŝo de saĝuloj semas instruon; Sed la koro de malsaĝuloj ne estas tia.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination to YHWH, And the prayer of the upright [is] His delight.
Oferdono de malvirtuloj estas abomenaĵo por la Eternulo; Sed la preĝo de virtuloj al Li plaĉas.
9 The way of the wicked [is] an abomination to YHWH, And He loves whoever is pursuing righteousness.
Abomenaĵo por la Eternulo estas la vojo de malvirtulo; Sed kiu celas virton, tiun Li amas.
10 Discipline [is] grievous to him who is forsaking the path, Whoever is hating reproof dies.
Malbona puno atendas tiun, kiu forlasas la vojon; Kaj la malamanto de admono mortos.
11 Sheol and destruction [are] before YHWH, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
Ŝeol kaj la abismo estas antaŭ la Eternulo: Tiom pli la koroj de la homidoj. (Sheol h7585)
12 A scorner does not love his reprover, He does not go to the wise.
Mokanto ne amas tiun, kiu lin admonas; Al saĝuloj li ne iras.
13 A joyful heart makes the face glad, And the spirit is struck by grief of heart.
Ĝoja koro faras la vizaĝon ĝoja; Sed ĉe ĉagreno de la koro la spirito estas malgaja.
14 The heart of the intelligent seeks knowledge, And the mouth of fools enjoys folly.
La koro de saĝulo serĉas instruon; Sed la buŝo de malsaĝuloj nutras sin per malsaĝeco.
15 All the days of the afflicted [are] evil, And gladness of heart [is] a perpetual banquet.
Ĉiuj tagoj de malfeliĉulo estas malbonaj; Sed kontenta koro estas festenado.
16 Better [is] a little with the fear of YHWH, Than much treasure, and tumult with it.
Pli bona estas malmulto kun timo antaŭ la Eternulo, Ol granda trezoro kun maltrankvileco ĉe ĝi.
17 Better [is] an allowance of green herbs and love there, Than a fatted ox, and hatred with it.
Pli bona estas manĝo el verdaĵo, sed kun amo, Ol grasa bovo, sed kun malamo.
18 A man of fury stirs up contention, And the slow to anger appeases strife.
Kolerema homo kaŭzas malpacon; Kaj pacienculo kvietigas disputon.
19 The way of the slothful [is] as a hedge of briers, And the path of the upright is raised up.
La vojo de maldiligentulo estas kiel dornarbeto; Sed la vojo de virtuloj estas ebenigita.
20 A wise son makes a father glad. And a foolish man is despising his mother.
Saĝa filo ĝojigas la patron; Sed homo malsaĝa estas malhonoro por sia patrino.
21 Folly is joy to one lacking heart, And a man of intelligence directs [his] going.
Malsaĝeco estas ĝojo por malsaĝulo; Sed homo prudenta iras ĝustan vojon.
22 The making void of purposes [is] without counsel, And in a multitude of counselors it is established.
Kie ne estas konsilo, tie la entreprenoj neniiĝas; Sed ĉe multe da konsilantoj ili restas fortikaj.
23 Joy [is] to a man in the answer of his mouth, And a word in its season—how good!
Plezuro por homo estas en la respondo de lia buŝo; Kaj kiel bona estas vorto en la ĝusta tempo!
La vojo de la vivo por saĝulo iras supren, Por ke li evitu Ŝeolon malsupre. (Sheol h7585)
25 YHWH pulls down the house of the proud, And He sets up the border of the widow.
La domon de fieruloj la Eternulo ruinigas; Sed Li gardas la limojn de vidvino.
26 Thoughts of wickedness [are] an abomination to YHWH, And sayings of pleasantness [are] pure.
Abomenaĵo por la Eternulo estas la intencoj de malnoblulo; Sed agrablaj estas la paroloj de puruloj.
27 A dishonest gainer is troubling his house, And whoever is hating gifts lives.
Profitemulo malĝojigas sian domon; Sed kiu malamas donacojn, tiu vivos.
28 The heart of the righteous meditates to answer, And the mouth of the wicked utters evil things.
La koro de virtulo pripensas respondon; Sed la buŝo de malvirtuloj elfluigas malbonon.
29 YHWH [is] far from the wicked, And He hears the prayer of the righteous.
La Eternulo estas malproksima de la malvirtuloj; Sed la preĝon de la virtuloj Li aŭskultas.
30 The light of the eyes makes the heart glad, A good report makes the bone fat.
Luma okulo ĝojigas la koron; Bona sciigo fortikigas la ostojn.
31 An ear that is hearing the reproof of life Lodges among the wise.
Orelo, kiu aŭskultas la instruon de la vivo, Loĝos inter saĝuloj.
32 Whoever is refusing instruction is despising his soul, And whoever is hearing reproof Is getting understanding.
Kiu forpuŝas admonon, tiu malestimas sian animon; Sed kiu aŭskultas instruon, tiu akiras saĝon.
33 The fear of YHWH [is] the instruction of wisdom, And humility [is] before honor!
La timo antaŭ la Eternulo instruas saĝon, Kaj humileco troviĝas antaŭ honoro.
