3 A rod of pride [is] in the mouth of a fool, And the lips of the wise preserve them.
Afka nacasyada waxaa ka soo biqla kibir; Laakiinse kuwa caqliga leh bushimahooda ayaa iyaga dhawri doona.
4 Without oxen a stall [is] clean, And great [is] the increase by the power of the ox.
Meeshii aan dibi joogin qabaalkii ay wax ka cuni jireen waa baabbah; Laakiinse kordhinta badanu waxay ku timaadaa xoogga dibiga.
5 A faithful witness does not lie, And a false witness breathes out lies.
Markhaatigii aamin ahu been ma sheego, Laakiinse markhaatigii been ahu been buu ku hadlaa.
6 A scorner has sought wisdom, and it is not, And knowledge [is] easy to the intelligent.

14 The backslider in heart is filled from his ways, And a good man—from his fruits.
Kii xaqnimada qalbigiisa dib ugaga noqdaa jidkiisuu ka dhergi doonaa, Oo ninkii wanaagsanuna wuxuu ka dhergi doonaa naftiisa.
15 The simple gives credence to everything, And the prudent attends to his step.
Kii garaaddaranu eray kasta wuu rumaystaa, Laakiinse kii miyir lahu socodkiisa aad buu u fiiriyaa.
16 The wise is fearing and turning from evil, And a fool is transgressing and is confident.
Ninkii caqli lahu waa cabsadaa, oo sharka wuu ka noqdaa; Laakiinse nacasku waa ciishoodaa, wuuna isku kalsoon yahay.
17 Whoever is short of temper does folly, And a man of wicked schemes is hated.
Kii degdeg u cadhoodaa nacasnimuu wax ku sameeyaa, Oo ninkii sharnimo hindisana waa la neceb yahay.

19 The evil have bowed down before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
Kuwa sharka lahu kuwa wanaagsan hortooda ayay ku foororsadaan, Oo kuwa xunxunna waxay ku foororsadaan irdaha kuwa xaqa ah.
20 The poor is hated even of his neighbor, And those loving the rich [are] many.
Miskiinka xataa deriskiisu waa neceb yahay, Laakiinse taajirku saaxiibbo badan buu leeyahay.
21 Whoever is despising his neighbor sins, Whoever is favoring the humble, O his blessedness.
Kii deriskiisa quudhsadaa wuu dembaabaa, Laakiinse kii miskiinka u naxariistaa waa barakaysan yahay.
22 Do they who are devising evil not err? And kindness and truth [are] to those devising good,
Kuwa sharka ku fikiraa sow ma qaldamaan? Laakiinse kuwa wanaagga ku fikira waxaa u ahaan doona naxariis iyo run.
23 In all labor there is advantage, And a thing of the lips [is] only to want.
Hawl kasta faa'iidaa ku jirta, Laakiinse hadalka bushimuhu wuxuu keenaa caydhnimo keliya.
24 The crown of the wise is their wealth, The folly of fools [is] folly.
Kuwa caqliga leh taajkoodu waa maalkooda, Laakiinse nacasyada nacasnimadoodu waa nacasnimo keliya.
25 A true witness is delivering souls, And a deceitful one breathes out lies.
Markhaatigii run ahu nafuu samatabbixiyaa, Laakiinse kii been sheegaa waa khaayin.
26 Strong confidence [is] in the fear of YHWH, And there is a refuge to His sons.
Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisu waxay leedahay kalsoonaan xoog leh, Oo carruurtiisuna waxay lahaan doonaan meel ay magangalaan.
27 The fear of YHWH [is] a fountain of life, To turn aside from snares of death.
Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisu waa il nololeed, Si dabinnada dhimashada looga leexdo.
28 The honor of a king [is] in the multitude of a people, And the ruin of a prince in lack of people.
Sharafta boqorku waxay ku jirtaa dadka badnaantiisa, Laakiinse baabba'a amiirku wuxuu ku jiraa dadka yaraantiisa.
29 Whoever is slow to anger [is] of great understanding, And whoever is short in temper is exalting folly.
Kii cadhada u gaabiyaa waa garasho badan yahay; Laakiinse kii degdeg u cadhoodaa nacasnimuu sarraysiiyaa.
30 A healed heart [is] life to the flesh, And rottenness to the bones [is] envy.
Qalbigii degganu waa nolosha jidhka, Laakiinse hinaaso waa qudhunka lafaha.
31 An oppressor of the poor reproaches his Maker, And whoever is honoring Him Is favoring the needy.
Kii miskiinka dulmaa wuxuu caayaa Kan sameeyey, Laakiinse kii ka baahan u naxariistaa wuu murweeyaa.
32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness, And the righteous [is] trustful in his death.
Kii shar leh waxaa lagu afgembiyaa sharnimadiisa, Laakiinse kan xaqa ahu rajuu leeyahay markuu dhinto.
33 Wisdom rests in the heart of the intelligent. And it is known in the midst of fools.
Xigmaddu waxay taal kii garasho leh qalbigiisa, Laakiinse wixii nacasyada uurkooda ku jiraa waa ismuujiyaa.
34 Righteousness exalts a nation, And the righteousness of peoples [is] a sin-offering.
Xaqnimadu quruun way sarraysiisaa, Laakiinse dembigu waa u ceeb dad kasta.
35 The favor of a king [is] to a wise servant, And one causing shame is an object of his wrath!
Boqorka raallinimadiisa waxaa leh midiidinkii caqli ku shaqeeya, Laakiinse wuxuu u cadhoon doonaa kii ceeb sameeya.
