Proverbs 11
1 Balances of deceit [are] an abomination to YHWH, And a perfect weight [is] His delight.
Balança enganosa é abominação ao Senhor, mas o peso justo o seu prazer.
2 Pride has come, and shame comes, And wisdom [is] with the lowly.
Vinda a soberba, virá tambem a affronta; mas com os humildes está a sabedoria.
3 The integrity of the upright leads them, And the perverseness of the treacherous destroys them.
A sinceridade dos sinceros os encaminhará, mas a perversidade dos aleives os destruirá.
4 Wealth does not profit in a day of wrath, And righteousness delivers from death.
Não aproveitam as riquezas no dia da indignação, mas a justiça livra da morte.
5 The righteousness of the perfect makes his way right, And by his wickedness the wicked fall.
A justiça do sincero endireitará o seu caminho, mas o impio pela sua impiedade cairá.
6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them, And in mischief the treacherous are captured.
A justiça dos virtuosos os livrará, mas na sua perversidade serão apanhados os iniquos.
7 In the death of a wicked man, hope perishes, And the expectation of the iniquitous has been lost.
Morrendo o homem impio perece a sua expectação, e a esperança dos injustos se perde.
8 The righteous is drawn out from distress, And the wicked goes in instead of him.
O justo é livre da angustia, e o impio vemem seu logar.
9 A hypocrite corrupts his friend with the mouth, And the righteous are drawn out by knowledge.
O hypocrita com a bocca destroe ao seu companheiro, mas os justos são livres pelo conhecimento.
10 A city exults in the good of the righteous, And in the destruction of the wicked [is] singing.
No bem dos justos exulta a cidade; e, perecendo os impios, ha jubilo.
11 By the blessing of the upright is a city exalted, And by the mouth of the wicked thrown down.
Pela benção dos sinceros se exalta a cidade, mas pela bocca dos impios se derriba.
12 Whoever is despising his neighbor lacks heart, And a man of understanding keeps silence.
O que carece de entendimento despreza a seu companheiro, mas o homem bem entendido cala-se.
13 A busybody is revealing secret counsel, And the faithful of spirit is covering the matter.
O que anda praguejando descobre o segredo, mas o fiel de espirito encobre o negocio.
14 Without counsels a people falls, And deliverance [is] in a multitude of counselors.
Não havendo sabios conselhos, o povo cae, mas na multidão de conselheiros ha segurança.
15 An evil [one] suffers when he has been guarantor [for] a stranger, And whoever hates striking hands [in agreement] is confident.
Decerto soffrerá severamente aquelle que fica por fiador do estranho, mas o que aborrece aos que dão as mãos estará seguro.
16 A gracious woman retains honor, And terrible [men] retain riches.
A mulher aprazivel guarda a honra, como os violentos guardam as riquezas.
17 A kind man is rewarding his own soul, And the fierce is troubling his own flesh.
O homem benigno faz bem á sua propria alma, mas o cruel perturba a sua propria carne.
18 The wicked is getting a lying wage, And whoever is sowing righteousness—a true reward.
O impio faz obra falsa, mas para o que semeia justiça haverá galardão fiel.
19 Correctly [is] righteousness for life, And whoever is pursuing evil—for his own death.
Como a justiça encaminha para a vida, assim o que segue o mal vae para a sua morte.
20 The perverse of heart are an abomination to YHWH, And the perfect of the way [are] His delight.
Abominação são ao Senhor os perversos de coração, mas os sinceros de caminho são o seu deleite.
21 Hand to hand, the wicked is not acquitted, And the seed of the righteous has escaped.
Ainda que o mau junte mão á mão, não será inculpavel, mas a semente dos justos escapará.
22 A ring of gold in the nose of a sow—A beautiful woman and stubborn of behavior.
Como joia de oiro na tromba da porca, assim é a mulher formosa, que se aparta da razão.
23 The desire of the righteous [is] only good, The hope of the wicked [is] transgression.
O desejo dos justos tão sómente é o bem, mas a esperança dos impios é a indignação.
24 There is [one] who is scattering, and yet is increased, And [one] who is keeping back from uprightness, only to want.
Alguns ha que espalham, e ainda se lhes accrescenta mais, e outros que reteem mais do que é justo, mas é para a sua perda.
25 A liberal soul is made fat, And whoever is watering, he also is watered.
A alma abençoante engordará, e o que regar, elle tambem será regado.
26 Whoever is withholding grain, the people execrate him, And a blessing [is] for the head of him who is selling.
Ao que retem o trigo o povo amaldiçoa, mas benção haverá sobre a cabeça do vendedor:
27 Whoever is earnestly seeking good Seeks a pleasing thing, And whoever is seeking evil—it meets him.
O que busca cedo o bem busca favor, porém o que procura o mal a esse lhe sobrevirá.
28 Whoever is confident in his wealth falls, And as a leaf, the righteous flourish.
Aquelle que confia nas suas riquezas cairá, mas os justos reverdecerão como a rama.
29 Whoever is troubling his own house inherits wind, And the fool [is] a servant to the wise of heart.
O que perturba a sua casa herdará o vento, e o tolo será servo do entendido de coração.
30 The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life, And whoever is taking souls [is] wise.
O fructo do justo é arvore de vida, e o que ganha almas sabio é.
31 Behold, the righteous is repaid in the earth, Surely also the wicked and the sinner!
Eis que o justo é recompensado na terra; quanto mais o será o impio e o peccador.
