Proverbs 10
1 Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son causes a father to rejoice, And a foolish son [is] an affliction to his mother.
೧ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನಿಂದ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಆನಂದ, ಅಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾದ ಮಗನಿಂದ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ದುಃಖ.
2 Treasures of wickedness do not profit, And righteousness delivers from death.
೨ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ, ಧರ್ಮವು ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವಂತದ್ದು.
3 YHWH does not cause the soul of the righteous to hunger, And He thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
೩ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಹಸಿವೆಗೊಳಿಸನು, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
4 Poor [is] he who is working [with] a slothful hand, And the hand of the diligent makes rich.
೪ಜೋಲುಗೈ ದಾರಿದ್ರ್ಯ, ಚುರುಕು ಕೈ ತರುವುದು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ.
5 Whoever is gathering in summer [is] a wise son, Whoever is sleeping in harvest [is] a son causing shame.
೫ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿಸುವವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು, ಕೊಯ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೂಕಡಿಸುವವನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆಟ್ಟವನು.
6 Blessings [are] for the head of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked covers violence.
೬ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ತಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದ ನೆಲೆ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವೇ ಮುಚ್ಚಳ.
7 The remembrance of the righteous [is] for a blessing, And the name of the wicked rots.
೭ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಕ್ಕಾಸ್ಪದ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ನಾಮವು ನಿರ್ನಾಮಕಾಸ್ಪದ.
8 The wise in heart accepts commands, And a talkative fool kicks.
೮ಜ್ಞಾನಹೃದಯನು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವನು, ಹರಟೆಯ ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಕೆಡವಲ್ಪಡುವನು.
9 Whoever is walking in integrity walks confidently, And whoever is perverting his ways is known.
೯ನಿರ್ದೋಷದ ನಡತೆಯವನು ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವನು, ವಕ್ರಮಾರ್ಗಿಯು ಬೈಲಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವನು.
10 Whoever is winking the eye gives grief, And a talkative fool kicks.
೧೦ಕಣ್ಣು ಮಿಟಕಿಸುವವನು ಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣನು, ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಗದರಿಸುವವನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಕರನು.
11 A fountain of life [is] the mouth of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked covers violence.
೧೧ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿ ಜೀವದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುತ್ತದೆ.
12 Hatred awakens contentions, And love covers over all transgressions.
೧೨ದ್ವೇಷವು ಜಗಳಗಳನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ.
13 Wisdom is found in the lips of the intelligent, And a rod [is] for the back of him who is lacking understanding.
೧೩ವಿವೇಕಿಯ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಬೆತ್ತ.
14 The wise lay up knowledge, and the mouth of a fool [is] near ruin.
೧೪ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿದ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಪಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಭಾಷಣ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮೀಪ.
15 The wealth of the rich [is] his strong city, The ruin of the poor [is] their poverty.
೧೫ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಿಗೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವು ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆ, ಬಡವನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಬಡತನವೇ ನಾಶನ.
16 The wage of the righteous [is] for life, The increase of the wicked for sin.
೧೬ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ದುಡಿತ ಜೀವಾಸ್ಪದ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಆದಾಯ ಪಾಪಾಸ್ಪದ.
17 A traveler to life [is] he who is keeping instruction, And whoever is forsaking rebuke is erring.
೧೭ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವನು, ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳದವನು ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು.
18 Whoever is covering hatred with lying lips, And whoever is bringing out an evil report is a fool.
೧೮ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡವನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರ, ಚಾಡಿಗಾರನು ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನ.
19 In the abundance of words transgression does not cease, And whoever is restraining his lips [is] wise.
೧೯ಮಾತಾಳಿಗೆ ಪಾಪ ತಪ್ಪದು, ಮೌನಿಯು ವಿವೇಕಿ.
20 The tongue of the righteous [is] chosen silver, The heart of the wicked—as a little thing.
೨೦ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಹೃದಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದು.
21 The lips of the righteous delight many, And fools die for lack of heart.
೨೧ಶಿಷ್ಟರ ಭಾಷಣ ಬಹುಜನ ಪೋಷಣ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಮೂರ್ಖರ ನಾಶನ.
22 The blessing of YHWH—it makes rich, And He adds no grief with it.
೨೨ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ಭಾಗ್ಯದಾಯಕವು, ಅದು ವ್ಯಸನವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸದು.
23 To execute inventions [is] as play to a fool, And wisdom to a man of understanding.
೨೩ಅವಿವೇಕಿಗೆ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿ ವಿನೋದ ವಿವೇಕಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿನೋದ.
24 The feared thing of the wicked meets him, And the desire of the righteous is given.
೨೪ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಶಂಕಿಸಿದ್ದೇ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದು, ಶಿಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವು ಲಭಿಸುವುದು.
25 As the passing by of a windstorm, So the wicked is not, And the righteous is a perpetual foundation.
೨೫ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಿದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಎಲ್ಲೋ! ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಕಟ್ಟಡ.
26 As vinegar to the teeth, And as smoke to the eyes, So [is] the slothful to those sending him.
೨೬ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹುಳಿಯೂ, ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಗೆಯೂ ಹೇಗೋ, ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಸೋಮಾರಿಯು ಹಾಗೆ.
27 The fear of YHWH adds days, And the years of the wicked are shortened.
೨೭ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವರ ದಿನಗಳಿಗೆ ವೃದ್ಧಿ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಅಲ್ಪ.
28 The hope of the righteous [is] joyful, And the expectation of the wicked perishes.
೨೮ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಗೆ ಆನಂದವು ಫಲ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಿಷ್ಫಲ.
29 The way of YHWH [is] strength to the perfect, And ruin to workers of iniquity.
೨೯ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ, ಕೆಡುಕನಿಗೆ ನಾಶನ.
30 The righteous is not moved for all time, And the wicked do not inhabit the earth.
೩೦ಶಿಷ್ಟರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕದಲರು, ದುಷ್ಟರು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲರು.
31 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, And the tongue of contrariness is cut out.
೩೧ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಮೊಳೆಯುವುದು, ನೀಚನ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.
32 The lips of the righteous know a pleasing thing, And the mouth of the wicked perverseness!
೩೨ಶಿಷ್ಟನ ತುಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿತವಚನ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಚವಚನ.
