Philippians 3
1 As to the rest, my brothers, rejoice in the LORD; indeed, [it] is not tiresome to me to write to you the same things, and for you [is] sure.
Au reste, mes frères, réjouissez-vous en [notre] Seigneur. Il ne m'est point fâcheux, et c'est votre sûreté, que je vous écrive les mêmes choses.
2 Look out for the dogs! Look out for the evil-workers! Look out for the mutilation!
Prenez garde aux Chiens; prenez garde aux mauvais Ouvriers; prenez garde à la Circoncision.
3 For we are the circumcision, who are serving God by the Spirit, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and having no trust in flesh,
Car c'est nous qui sommes la Circoncision, [nous] qui servons Dieu en esprit, et qui nous glorifions en Jésus-Christ, et qui n'avons point de confiance en la chair;
4 though I also have [cause of] trust in flesh. If any other one thinks to have trust in flesh, I more:
Quoi que je ne pourrais bien aussi avoir confiance en la chair; même si quelqu'un estime qu'il a de quoi se confier en la chair, j'en ai encore davantage;
5 circumcision on the eighth day! Of the race of Israel! Of the tribe of Benjamin! A Hebrew of Hebrews! According to law—a Pharisee!
[Moi] qui ai été circoncis le huitième jour, qui suis de la race d'Israël, de la Tribu de Benjamin, Hébreu, né d'Hébreux, Pharisien de religion:
6 According to zeal—persecuting the Assembly! According to righteousness that is in law—becoming blameless!
Quant au zèle, persécutant l'Eglise; et quant à la justice qui est de la Loi, étant sans reproche,
7 But what things were gains to me, these I have counted loss, because of the Christ;
Mais ce qui m'était un gain, je l'ai regardé comme m'étant nuisible et cela pour l'amour de Christ.
8 yes, indeed, and I count all things to be loss, because of the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom I suffered loss of all things, and count them to be refuse, that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him,
Et certes, je regarde toutes les autres choses comme m'étant nuisibles en comparaison de l'excellence de la connaissance de Jésus-Christ mon Seigneur, pour l'amour duquel je me suis privé de toutes ces choses, et je les estime comme du fumier, afin que je gagne Christ;
9 not having my righteousness, which [is] of law, but that which [is] through faith from Christ—the righteousness that is of God by faith,
Et que je sois trouvé en lui, ayant non point ma justice qui est de la Loi, mais celle qui est par la foi en Christ, [c'est à dire], la justice qui est de Dieu par la foi;
10 to know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
[Pour] connaître Jésus-Christ, et la vertu de sa résurrection, et la communion de ses afflictions, étant rendu conforme à sa mort;
11 if anyhow I may attain to the resurrection of the dead.
[Essayant] si en quelque manière je puis parvenir à la résurrection des morts.
12 Not that I already obtained, or have already been perfected, but I pursue, if I also may lay hold of that for which I was also laid hold of by Christ Jesus;
Non que j'aie déjà atteint [le but], ou que je sois déjà rendu accompli: mais je poursuis [ce but] pour tâcher d'y parvenir, c'est pourquoi aussi j'ai été pris par Jésus-Christ.
13 brothers, I do not reckon myself to have laid hold [of it], but one thing [I do]—indeed forgetting the things behind, and stretching forth to the things before—
Mes frères, pour moi, je ne me persuade pas d'avoir atteint [le but];
14 I pursue to the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Mais [je fais] une chose, [c'est qu'en] oubliant les choses qui sont derrière [moi], et m'avançant vers celles qui sont devant [moi], je cours vers le but, [savoir] au prix de la céleste vocation, [qui est] de Dieu en Jésus-Christ;
15 As many, therefore, as [are] perfect—let us think this, and if [in] anything you think otherwise, this also will God reveal to you,
C'est pourquoi, nous tous qui sommes parfaits ayons ce même sentiment; et si en quelque chose vous avez un autre sentiment, Dieu vous le révélera aussi.
16 but to what we have attained—walk by the same rule, think the same thing;
Cependant marchons suivant une même règle pour les choses auxquelles nous sommes parvenus, et ayons un même sentiment.
17 together become my followers, brothers, and observe those thus walking, according as you have us—a pattern;
Soyez tous ensemble mes imitateurs, mes frères, et considérez ceux qui marchent comme vous nous avez pour modèle.
18 for many walk of whom I told you [about] many times—and now also weeping tell—[they are] the enemies of the Cross of the Christ,
Car il y en a plusieurs qui marchent d'une [telle manière], que je vous ai souvent dit, et maintenant je vous le dis encore en pleurant, qu'ils sont ennemis de la croix de Christ;
19 whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and whose glory [is] in their shame, who are minding the things on earth.
Desquels la fin est la perdition, desquels le Dieu est le ventre, et desquels la gloire est dans leur confusion, n'ayant d'affection que pour les choses de la terre.
20 For our citizenship is in the heavens, from where we also await a Savior—the Lord Jesus Christ—
Mais pour nous, notre bourgeoisie est dans les Cieux, d'où aussi nous attendons le Sauveur, le Seigneur Jésus-Christ;
21 who will transform the body of our humiliation to its becoming conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working of His power, even to subject all things to Himself.
Qui transformera notre corps vil, afin qu'il soit rendu conforme à son corps glorieux, selon cette efficace par laquelle il peut même s'assujettir toutes choses.
