Philippians 1
1 Paul and Timotheus, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the holy ones in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with overseers and servants:
૧ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં ફિલિપ્પીમાંના સર્વ સંતો, અધ્યક્ષો તથા સેવકો, તે સર્વને ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં દાસો પાઉલ તથા તિમોથી લખે છે
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
૨ઈશ્વર આપણા પિતા તથા પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત તરફથી તમને કૃપા તથા શાંતિ હો.
3 I give thanks to my God on all the remembrance of you,
૩પ્રથમ દિવસથી તે આજ સુધી સુવાર્તામાં તમારા સહકારને માટે,
4 always, in every supplication of mine for you all, with joy making the supplication,
૪નિત્ય આનંદ સાથે તમો સર્વને માટે મારી પ્રાર્થનામાં વિનંતિ કરતાં,
5 for your contribution to the good news from the first day until now,
૫જયારે જયારે હું તમને યાદ કરું છું ત્યારે ત્યારે હું મારા ઈશ્વરનો આભાર માનું છું.
6 having been confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you, will complete [it] until [the] day of Jesus Christ,
૬જેમણે તમારામાં સારાં કામની શરૂઆત કરી તે, ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં દિવસ સુધી, તેને સંપૂર્ણ કરતા જશે, એવો મને ભરોસો છે.
7 according as it is righteous for me to think this in behalf of you all, because of my having you in the heart, both in my bonds, and [in] the defense and confirmation of the good news, all of you being fellow-partakers with me of grace.
૭તમો સર્વ વિષે એ પ્રમાણે માનવું મને ઉચિત લાગે છે; કારણ કે મારાં બંધનોમાં અને સુવાર્તાની હિમાયત કરવામાં તથા તેને સાબિત કરવામાં, તમે બધા કૃપામાં મારા સહભાગી હોવાથી, હું તમને મારા હૃદયમાં રાખું છું.
8 For God is my witness, how I long for you all with [the] yearnings of Jesus Christ,
૮કેમ કે હું ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તની કરુણાથી તમો સર્વ ઉપર કેટલો બધો પ્રેમ રાખું છું, તે વિષે ઈશ્વર મારા સાક્ષી છે.
9 and this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge, and all discernment,
૯વળી હું એવી પ્રાર્થના કરું છું કે, જ્ઞાનમાં તથા સર્વ વિવેકબુદ્ધિમાં તમારો પ્રેમ ક્રમે ક્રમે વધતો જાય;
10 for your proving the things that differ, that you may be pure and offenseless—to [the] Day of Christ,
૧૦જેથી જે શ્રેષ્ઠ છે તે તમે પારખી લો અને એમ તમે ખ્રિસ્તનાં દિવસ સુધી નિષ્કલંક તથા નિર્દોષ થાઓ;
11 being filled with the fruit of righteousness, that [is] through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
૧૧વળી ઈશ્વરની સ્તુતિ તથા મહિમા વધે તે માટે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત દ્વારા ન્યાયીપણાનાં ફળોથી તમે ભરપૂર થાઓ.
12 And I intend you to know, brothers, that the things concerning me, rather have come to an advancement of the good news,
૧૨ભાઈઓ, મને જે જે દુઃખો પડ્યાં, તે સુવાર્તાને વિઘ્નરૂપ થવાને બદલે તેનો પ્રસાર થવામાં સહાયભૂત થયાં, તે તમે જાણો એવું હું ઇચ્છું છું;
13 so that my bonds have become evident in Christ in the whole Praetorium, and to all the other places,
૧૩કેમ કે ખ્રિસ્તને લીધે મારાં જે બંધનો છે તે આખા રાજયદરબારમાં તથા બીજે બધે સ્થળે પ્રસિદ્ધ થયાં;
14 and the greater part of the brothers in the LORD, having confidence by my bonds, are more abundantly bold to fearlessly speak the word.
૧૪અને પ્રભુના સમુદાયના કેટલાક ભાઈઓએ મારાં બંધનોને લીધે વિશ્વાસ રાખીને નિર્ભયપણે ઈશ્વરનું વચન બોલવાની વિશેષ હિંમત રાખી.
15 Certain, indeed, even through envy and contention, and certain also through goodwill, preach the Christ;
૧૫કેટલાક તો અદેખાઈ તથા વિરોધથી અને કેટલાક સદ્દભાવથી ખ્રિસ્ત ની સુવાર્તા પ્રગટ કરે છે
16 one, indeed, of rivalry proclaims the Christ, not purely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds,
૧૬પહેલા તો મારાં બંધનમાં મારા પર વિશેષ સંકટ લાવવાના ઇરાદાથી, શુદ્ધ મનથી નહિ, પણ પક્ષાપક્ષીથી ખ્રિસ્તની વાત પ્રગટ કરે છે;
17 and the other out of love, having known that I am set for defense of the good news:
૧૭પણ બીજા, ખ્રિસ્તનાં સુવાર્તા વિષે પ્રત્યુત્તર આપવા માટે હું નિર્મિત થયો છું, એવું જાણીને પ્રેમથી પ્રગટ કરે છે.
18 what then? In every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed—and I rejoice in this, indeed, and will rejoice.
૧૮તો એથી શું? દરેક રીતે, ગમે તો દંભથી કે સત્યથી, ખ્રિસ્ત ની વાત પ્રગટ કરવામાં આવે છે; તેથી હું આનંદ પામું છું અને પામીશ.
19 For I have known that this will turn out to me for salvation, through your supplication, and the supply of the Spirit of Christ Jesus,
૧૯કેમ કે હું જાણું છું કે, તમારી પ્રાર્થનાથી તથા ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં આત્માની સહાયથી, એ મારા ઉદ્ધારને માટે ઉપયોગી થઈ પડશે, તે હું જાણું છું.
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will be ashamed in nothing, and in all freedom, as always, also Christ will now be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death,
૨૦એ પ્રમાણે મને વિશ્વાસ, અપેક્ષા તથા આશા છે કે, હું કોઈ પણ બાબતમાં શરમાઈશ નહિ; પણ પૂરી હિંમતથી, હંમેશ મુજબ હમણાં પણ, ગમે તો જીવનથી કે મૃત્યુથી, મારા શરીરદ્વારા ખ્રિસ્તનાં મહિમાની વૃદ્ધિ કરવામાં આવે.
21 for to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain.
૨૧કેમ કે મારે માટે જીવવું તે ખ્રિસ્ત અને મરવું તે લાભ છે.
22 And if to live in the flesh [is] to me a fruit of work, then what will I choose? I do not know;
૨૨પણ મનુષ્યદેહમાં જીવવું તે જો મારા કામનું ફળ હોય તો મારે શું પસંદ કરવું, તે હું જાણતો નથી;
23 for I am pressed by the two, having the desire to depart, and to be with Christ, for it is far better,
૨૩કેમ કે આ બે બાબત વચ્ચે હું ગૂંચવણમાં છું દેહમાંથી નીકળવાની તથા ખ્રિસ્તની સાથે રહેવાની મારી ઇચ્છા છે, કેમ કે તે વધારે સારું છે;
24 and to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account,
૨૪તોપણ મારે મનુષ્યદેહમાં રહેવું તમારે માટે વધારે અગત્યનું છે.
25 and being persuaded of this, I have known that I will remain and continue with you all, to your advancement and joy of the faith,
૨૫મને ભરોસો હોવાથી, હું જાણું છું કે હું રહેવાનો અને તમારા વિશ્વાસની વૃદ્ધિ તથા આનંદને માટે હું તમારાં બધાની સાથે રહેવાનો;
26 that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my coming again to you.
૨૬જેથી તમારી પાસે મારા ફરીથી આવવાથી મારા વિષેનો તમારો આનંદ ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં ઘણો વધી જાય.
27 Only conduct yourselves worthily of the good news of the Christ, that, whether having come and seen you, whether being absent I may hear of the things concerning you, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one soul, striving together for the faith of the good news,
૨૭માત્ર ખ્રિસ્તની સુવાર્તાને યોગ્ય આચરણ કરો, જેથી ગમે તો હું આવીને તમને જોઉં અથવા દૂર રહું તોપણ તમારા વિષે સાંભળું કે તમે સર્વ એક આત્મામાં સ્થિર રહીને એક જીવથી સુવાર્તાનાં વિશ્વાસને માટે પ્રયત્ન કરો છો.
28 and not be terrified in anything by those opposing, which is indeed a token of destruction to them, and to you of salvation, and that from God;
૨૮અને વિરોધીઓથી જરા પણ ગભરાતા નથી એ તેઓને માટે વિનાશની પ્રત્યક્ષ નિશાની છે, પણ તમને તો ઉદ્ધારની નિશાની છે અને તે વળી ઈશ્વરથી છે.
29 because to you it was granted, on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on behalf of Him;
૨૯કેમ કે ખ્રિસ્ત પર માત્ર વિશ્વાસ કરવો એટલું જ નહિ, પણ તેમને માટે દુઃખ પણ સહેવું, તેથી ખ્રિસ્તને સારુ આ કૃપાદાન તમને આપવામાં આવ્યું છે;
30 having the same conflict, such as you saw in me, and now hear of in me.
૩૦જેવું યુદ્ધ તમે મારામાં જોયું છે અને હાલ મારામાં થાય છે એ હમણાં તમે સાંભળો છો, તેવું જ તમારામાં પણ છે.
