Numbers 34

1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ,

2 “Command the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: When you are coming into the land of Canaan—this [is] the land which falls to you by inheritance, the land of Canaan, by its borders—

“Ka kyerɛ Israelfoɔ no sɛ, ‘Sɛ mobɛduru Kanaan asase no so a, asase a mede rema mo sɛ mo ankasa asase no a, sɛi na mo ahyeɛ bɛyɛ:

3 then the south quarter has been to you from the wilderness of Zin, by the sides of Edom, indeed, the south border has been to you from the extremity of the Salt Sea eastward;

“‘Asase no anafoɔ fam no bɛyɛ Sin ɛserɛ so a ɛda Edom ano. Anafoɔ hyeɛ no ano bɛfiri Nkyene Ɛpo no.

4 and the border has turned around to you from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and has passed on to Zin, and its outgoings have been from the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and it has gone out at Hazar-Addar, and has passed on to Azmon;

Ɛbɛtoa so akɔtra Akrabbim wɔ anafoɔ hɔ a ɛrekɔ Sin no. Nʼanafoɔ pa ara no bɛyɛ Kades-Barnea, na ɛfiri hɔ akɔsi Hasarada de akɔwie Asmon.

5 and the border has turned around from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

Ɛfiri Asmon a, ɛhyeɛ no bɛkɔ ara akɔsi Misraim asuwa no mu na ano akɔpem Po Kɛseɛ no ano.

6 As for the west border, even the Great Sea has been a border to you; this is the west border to you.

Mo hyeɛ a ɛwɔ atɔeɛ no bɛyɛ Po Kɛseɛ a ɛda hɔ no.

7 And this is the north border to you: from the Great Sea you mark out for yourselves Mount Hor;

Mo hyeɛ a ɛda atifi no bɛfiti aseɛ wɔ Po Kɛseɛ no ano, na atoa so akɔ apueeɛ fam akɔsi bepɔ Hor,

8 from Mount Hor you mark out to go to Hamath, and the outgoings of the border have been to Zedad;

9 and the border has gone out to Ziphron, and its outgoings have been at Hazar-Enan; this is the north border to you.

10 And you have marked out for yourselves for the border eastward, from Hazar-Enan to Shepham;

11 and the border has gone down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east of Ain, and the border has gone down, and has struck against the shoulder of the Sea of Chinnereth eastward;

akɔsi Ribla wɔ Ain apueeɛ fam. Ɛfiri hɔ a, ɛbɛkɔ akɔpem Kineret ɛpo no wɔ apueeɛ fam,

12 and the border has gone down to the Jordan, and its outgoings have been at the Salt Sea; this is the land for you by its borders all around.”

13 And Moses commands the sons of Israel, saying, “This [is] the land which you inherit by lot, which YHWH has commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half of the tribe;

14 for the tribe of the sons of Reuben, by the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad, by the house of their fathers, have received [their inheritance]; and [those of] the half of the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance;

15 the two tribes and the half of the tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan, [near] Jericho, eastward, at the [sun]-rising.”

16 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ,

17 “These [are] the names of the men who give the inheritance of the land to you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

“Nnipa a wɔn edin didi so yi na mayi wɔn sɛ wɔnkyekyɛ asase no mu: ɔsɔfoɔ Eleasa, Nun babarima Yosua.

18 And one prince—you take one prince from a tribe to give the land by inheritance.

19 And these [are] the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

“Wɔn edin na ɛdidi soɔ yi: “Yuda abusuakuo ntuanoni, Yefune babarima Kaleb;

20 and of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Aminihud;

Simeon abusuakuo ntuanoni, Amihud babarima Semuel;

21 of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

Benyamin abusuakuo ntuanoni, Kislon babarima Elidad;

22 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki son of Jogli;

Dan abusuakuo ntuanoni, Yogli babarima Buki;

23 of the sons of Joseph, a prince of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, Hanniel son of Ephod;

Yosef babarima Manase abusuakuo ntuanoni, Efod babarima Haniel;

24 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, Kemuel son of Shiphtan;

Yosef babarima Efraim abusuakuo ntuanoni, Siftan babarima Kemuel;

25 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, Elizaphan son of Parnach;

Parknak babarima Elisafan, Sebulon abusuakuo ntuanoni;

26 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, Paltiel son of Azzan;

Asan babarima Paltiel, Isakar abusuakuo ntuanoni;

27 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Asher, Ahihud son of Shelomi;

Selomi babarima Ahihud, Aser abusuakuo ntuanoni;

28 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, Pedahel son of Ammihud.”

Amihud babarima Pedahel, Naftali abusuakuo ntuanoni.”

29 These [are] those whom YHWH has commanded to give the sons of Israel inheritance in the land of Canaan.
