Numbers 34
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
L'Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
2 “Command the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: When you are coming into the land of Canaan—this [is] the land which falls to you by inheritance, the land of Canaan, by its borders—
Donne cet ordre aux enfants d`Israël, et dis-leur: Lorsque vous entrerez dans le pays de Canaan, le pays qui vous sera donné en héritage, le pays de Canaan, selon ses limites,
3 then the south quarter has been to you from the wilderness of Zin, by the sides of Edom, indeed, the south border has been to you from the extremity of the Salt Sea eastward;
votre quart méridional partira du désert de Tsin, le long du côté d`Édom, et votre limite méridionale partira de l`extrémité de la mer Salée, à l`orient.
4 and the border has turned around to you from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and has passed on to Zin, and its outgoings have been from the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and it has gone out at Hazar-Addar, and has passed on to Azmon;
Votre frontière tournera au sud de la montée d'Akrabbim, et passera à Tsin; elle passera au sud de Kadès Barnea; de là, elle ira à Hazar Addar, et passera à Azmon.
5 and the border has turned around from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its outgoings have been at the sea.
La frontière tournera depuis Azmon vers le ruisseau d'Égypte, et s'arrêtera à la mer.
6 As for the west border, even the Great Sea has been a border to you; this is the west border to you.
"'Pour la frontière occidentale, tu auras la grande mer et son bord. Ce sera ta frontière occidentale.
7 And this is the north border to you: from the Great Sea you mark out for yourselves Mount Hor;
« Voici quelle sera votre limite septentrionale: depuis la grande mer, vous tracerez pour vous la montagne de Hor.
8 from Mount Hor you mark out to go to Hamath, and the outgoings of the border have been to Zedad;
De la montagne de Hor, vous marquerez l'entrée de Hamath, et la frontière passera par Zedad.
9 and the border has gone out to Ziphron, and its outgoings have been at Hazar-Enan; this is the north border to you.
Puis la frontière ira jusqu'à Ziphron, et se terminera à Hazar Enan. Ce sera votre frontière nord.
10 And you have marked out for yourselves for the border eastward, from Hazar-Enan to Shepham;
Tu délimiteras ta frontière orientale de Hazar Enan à Shepham.
11 and the border has gone down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east of Ain, and the border has gone down, and has struck against the shoulder of the Sea of Chinnereth eastward;
La frontière descendra de Shepham à Riblah, à l'est d'Ain. La limite descendra et s'étendra jusqu'au bord de la mer de Chinnereth, à l'est.
12 and the border has gone down to the Jordan, and its outgoings have been at the Salt Sea; this is the land for you by its borders all around.”
La frontière descendra jusqu'au Jourdain et se terminera à la mer Salée. Tel sera votre pays, selon les frontières qui l'entourent. »
13 And Moses commands the sons of Israel, saying, “This [is] the land which you inherit by lot, which YHWH has commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half of the tribe;
Moïse donna cet ordre aux enfants d'Israël: Voici le pays dont vous hériterez par le sort, et que l'Éternel a ordonné de donner aux neuf tribus et à la demi-tribu.
14 for the tribe of the sons of Reuben, by the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad, by the house of their fathers, have received [their inheritance]; and [those of] the half of the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance;
La tribu des fils de Ruben, selon les maisons de leurs pères, la tribu des fils de Gad, selon les maisons de leurs pères, et la demi-tribu de Manassé, ont reçu leur héritage.
15 the two tribes and the half of the tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan, [near] Jericho, eastward, at the [sun]-rising.”
Les deux tribus et la demi-tribu ont reçu leur héritage au-delà du Jourdain, à Jéricho, à l'est, vers le soleil levant. »
16 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Yahvé parla à Moïse, et dit:
17 “These [are] the names of the men who give the inheritance of the land to you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.
Voici les noms des hommes qui vous partageront le pays en héritage: Le prêtre Éléazar et Josué, fils de Nun.
18 And one prince—you take one prince from a tribe to give the land by inheritance.
Tu prendras un prince de chaque tribu, pour partager le pays en héritage.
19 And these [are] the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;
Voici les noms de ces hommes: Pour la tribu de Juda: Caleb, fils de Jephunné.
20 and of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Aminihud;
Pour la tribu des fils de Siméon: Shemuel, fils d'Ammihud.
21 of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;
pour la tribu de Benjamin: Elidad, fils de Chislon
22 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki son of Jogli;
pour la tribu des fils de Dan: un prince, Bukki, fils de Jogli
23 of the sons of Joseph, a prince of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, Hanniel son of Ephod;
Pour les fils de Joseph: de la tribu des fils de Manassé, le prince Hanniel, fils d'Ephod.
24 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, Kemuel son of Shiphtan;
pour la tribu des fils d'Éphraïm: le prince Kemuel, fils de Shiphtan
25 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, Elizaphan son of Parnach;
pour la tribu des fils de Zabulon: le prince Elizaphan, fils de Parnach
26 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, Paltiel son of Azzan;
pour la tribu des fils d'Issacar, le prince Paltiel, fils d'Azzan.
27 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Asher, Ahihud son of Shelomi;
pour la tribu des fils d'Aser, le prince Ahihud, fils de Shelomi
28 and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, Pedahel son of Ammihud.”
pour la tribu des fils de Nephthali, le prince Pedahel, fils d'Ammihud ».
29 These [are] those whom YHWH has commanded to give the sons of Israel inheritance in the land of Canaan.
Tels sont ceux à qui Yahvé ordonna de faire le partage de l'héritage des enfants d'Israël dans le pays de Canaan.
