Numbers 33

1 These [are] the journeys of the sons of Israel who have come out of the land of Egypt, by their hosts, by the hand of Moses and Aaron;

این است سفرنامهٔ قوم اسرائیل از روزی که به رهبری موسی و هارون از مصر بیرون آمدند.

2 and Moses writes their outgoings, by their journeys, by the command of YHWH; and these [are] their journeys, by their outgoings:

موسی طبق دستور خداوند مراحل سفر آنها را نوشته بود.

3 And they journey from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; from the day after the Passover the sons of Israel have gone out with a high hand before the eyes of all the Egyptians—

آنها در روز پانزدهم از ماه اول، یعنی یک روز بعد از پِسَح از شهر رَمِسیس مصر خارج شدند. در حالی که مصری‌ها همۀ نخست‌زادگان خود را که خداوند شب قبل آنها را کشته بود دفن می‌کردند، قوم اسرائیل با سربلندی از مصر بیرون آمدند. این امر نشان داد که خداوند از تمامی خدایان مصر قویتر است.

4 and the Egyptians are burying those whom YHWH has struck among them, every firstborn, and YHWH has done judgments on their gods.

5 And the sons of Israel journey from Rameses and encamp in Succoth.

پس از حرکت از رَمِسیس، قوم اسرائیل در سوکوت اردو زدند و از آنجا به ایتام که در حاشیهٔ بیابان است رفتند.

6 And they journey from Succoth and encamp in Etham, which [is] in the extremity of the wilderness.

7 And they journey from Etham and turn back over Pi-Hahiroth, which [is] on the front of Ba‘al-Zephon, and they encamp before Migdol.

بعد به فی‌هاحیروت نزدیک بعل صفون رفته، در دامنهٔ کوه مجدل اردو زدند.

8 And they journey from Pi-Hahiroth, and pass over through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and go a journey of three days in the wilderness of Etham, and encamp in Marah.

سپس از آنجا کوچ کرده، از میان دریای سرخ گذشتند و به بیابان ایتام رسیدند. سه روز هم در بیابان ایتام پیش رفتند تا به ماره رسیدند و در آنجا اردو زدند.

9 And they journey from Marah and come to Elim, and twelve fountains of waters and seventy palm trees [are] in Elim, and they encamp there.

از ماره کوچ کرده، به ایلیم آمدند که در آنجا دوازده چشمهٔ آب و هفتاد درخت خرما بود، و مدتی در آنجا ماندند.

10 And they journey from Elim and encamp by the Red Sea.

از ایلیم به کنار دریای سرخ کوچ نموده، اردو زدند؛

11 And they journey from the Red Sea and encamp in the wilderness of Sin.

پس از آن به صحرای سین رفتند.

12 And they journey from the wilderness of Sin and encamp in Dophkah.

سپس به ترتیب به دُفقه،

13 And they journey from Dophkah and encamp in Alush.

الوش،

14 And they journey from Alush and encamp in Rephidim; and there was no water there for the people to drink.

و رفیدیم که در آنجا آب نوشیدنی یافت نمی‌شد، رفتند.

15 And they journey from Rephidim and encamp in the wilderness of Sinai.

از رفیدیم به صحرای سینا و از آنجا به قبروت هتاوه و سپس از قبروت هتاوه به حصیروت کوچ کردند و بعد به ترتیب به نقاط زیر رفتند: از حصیروت به رتمه، از رتمه به رمون فارص، از رمون فارص به لبنه، از لبنه به رسه، از رسه به قهیلاته، از قهیلاته به کوه شافر، از کوه شافر به حراده، از حراده به مقهیلوت، از مقهیلوت به تاحت، از تاحت به تارح، از تارح به متقه، از متقه به حشمونه، از حشمونه به مسیروت، از مسیروت به بنی‌یعقان، از بنی‌یعقان به حورالجدجاد، از حورالجدجاد به یطبات، از یطبات به عبرونه، از عبرونه به عصیون جابر، از عصیون جابر به قادش (در بیابان صین)، از قادش به کوه هور (در مرز سرزمین ادوم).

16 And they journey from the wilderness of Sinai and encamp in Kibroth-Hattaavah.

17 And they journey from Kibroth-Hattaavah and encamp in Hazeroth.

18 And they journey from Hazeroth and encamp in Rithmah.

19 And they journey from Rithmah and encamp in Rimmon-Parez.

20 And they journey from Rimmon-Parez and encamp in Libnah.

21 And they journey from Libnah and encamp in Rissah.

22 And they journey from Rissah and encamp in Kehelathah.

23 And they journey from Kehelathah and encamp in Mount Shapher.

24 And they journey from Mount Shapher and encamp in Haradah.

25 And they journey from Haradah and encamp in Makheloth.

26 And they journey from Makheloth and encamp in Tahath.

27 And they journey from Tahath and encamp in Tarah.

28 And they journey from Tarah and encamp in Mithcah.

29 And they journey from Mithcah and encamp in Hashmonah.

30 And they journey from Hashmonah and encamp in Moseroth.

31 And they journey from Moseroth and encamp in Bene-Jaakan.

32 And they journey from Bene-Jaakan and encamp at Hor-Hagidgad.

33 And they journey from Hor-Hagidgad and encamp in Jotbathah.

34 And they journey from Jotbathah and encamp in Ebronah.

35 And they journey from Ebronah and encamp in Ezion-Gaber.

36 And they journey from Ezion-Gaber and encamp in the wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh.

37 And they journey from Kadesh and encamp in Mount Hor, in the extremity of the land of Edom.

38 And Aaron the priest goes up to Mount Hor by the command of YHWH, and dies there in the fortieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month;

وقتی در دامنهٔ کوه هور بودند، هارون کاهن به دستور خداوند به بالای کوه هور رفت. وی در سن ۱۲۳ سالگی، در روز اول از ماه پنجم سال چهلم؛ بعد از بیرون آمدن بنی‌اسرائیل از مصر، در آنجا وفات یافت.

39 and Aaron [is] a son of one hundred and twenty-three years in his dying on Mount Hor.

40 And the Canaanite, king of Arad, who is dwelling in the south in the land of Canaan, hears of the coming of the sons of Israel.

در این هنگام بود که پادشاه کنعانی سرزمین عراد (واقع در نِگِب کنعان)، اطلاع یافت که قوم اسرائیل به کشورش نزدیک می‌شوند.

41 And they journey from Mount Hor and encamp in Zalmonah.

پس اسرائیلی‌ها از کوه هور به صلمونه کوچ کردند و در آنجا اردو زدند.

42 And they journey from Zalmonah and encamp in Punon.

بعد به فونون رفتند.

43 And they journey from Punon and encamp in Oboth.

پس از آن به اوبوت کوچ کردند

44 And they journey from Oboth and encamp in Ije-Abarim, in the border of Moab.

و از آنجا به عیی‌عباریم در مرز موآب رفته، در آنجا اردو زدند.

45 And they journey from Iim and encamp in Dibon-Gad.

سپس به دیبون جاد رفتند

46 And they journey from Dibon-Gad and encamp in Almon-Diblathaim.

و از دیبون جاد به علمون دبلاتایم

47 And they journey from Almon-Diblathaim and encamp in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

و از آنجا به کوهستان عباریم، نزدیک کوه نبو کوچ کردند.

48 And they journey from the mountains of Abarim and encamp in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho.

سرانجام به دشت موآب رفتند که در کنار رود اردن در مقابل شهر اریحا بود.

49 And they encamp by the Jordan, from Beth-Jeshimoth as far as Abel-Shittim in the plains of Moab.

در دشت موآب، از بیت‌یشیموت تا آبل شطیم در جاهای مختلف، کنار رود اردن اردو زدند.

50 And YHWH speaks to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, [near] Jericho, saying,

زمانی که آنها در کنار رود اردن، در مقابل اریحا اردو زده بودند، خداوند به موسی فرمود که به قوم اسرائیل بگوید: «وقتی که از رود اردن عبور کردید و به سرزمین کنعان رسیدید،

51 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: When you are passing over the Jordan to the land of Canaan,

52 then you have dispossessed all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and have destroyed all their imagery, indeed, you destroy all their molten images, and you lay waste [to] all their high places,

باید تمامی ساکنان آنجا را بیرون کنید و همهٔ بتها و مجسمه‌هایشان را از بین ببرید و عبادتگاهای واقع در بالای کوهها را که در آنجا بتهایشان را پرستش می‌کنند خراب کنید.

53 and you have possessed the land and dwelt in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it.

من سرزمین کنعان را به شما داده‌ام. آن را تصرف کنید و در آن ساکن شوید.

54 And you have inherited the land by lot, by your families; to the many you increase their inheritance, and to the few you diminish their inheritance; to where the lot goes out to him, it is his; you inherit by the tribes of your fathers.

زمین به تناسب جمعیت قبیله‌هایتان به شما داده خواهد شد. قطعه‌های بزرگتر زمین به قید قرعه بین قبیله‌های بزرگتر و قطعه‌های کوچکتر بین قبیله‌های کوچکتر تقسیم شود.

55 And if you do not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it has been [that] those whom you let remain of them [are] for pricks in your eyes and for thorns in your sides, and they have distressed you on the land in which you are dwelling,

ولی اگر تمامی ساکنان آنجا را بیرون نکنید، باقیماندگان مثل خار به چشمهایتان و چون تیغ در پهلویتان فرو خواهند رفت و شما را در آن سرزمین آزار خواهند رساند.

56 and it has come to pass, as I thought to do to them, I do to you.”

آری، اگر آنان را بیرون نکنید آنگاه من شما را هلاک خواهم کرد همان‌طور که قصد داشتم شما آنها را هلاک کنید.»
