Numbers 2
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
L’Éternel parla à Moïse et à Aaron, et dit:
2 “The sons of Israel encamp, each by his standard, with ensigns of the house of their fathers; they encamp around, from in sight of the Tent of Meeting.”
Les enfants d’Israël camperont chacun près de sa bannière, sous les enseignes de la maison de ses pères; ils camperont vis-à-vis et tout autour de la tente d’assignation.
3 And those encamping eastward toward the sun-rising [are] of the standard of the camp of Judah, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Judah [is] Nahshon, son of Amminadab;
A l’orient, le camp de Juda, avec sa bannière, et avec ses corps d’armée. Là camperont le prince des fils de Juda, Nachschon, fils d’Amminadab,
4 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de soixante-quatorze mille six cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement.
5 And those encamping by him [are] of the tribe of Issachar; and the prince of the sons of Issachar [is] Nethaneel son of Zuar;
A ses côtés camperont la tribu d’Issacar, le prince des fils d’Issacar, Nethaneel, fils de Tsuar,
6 and his host, and its numbered ones, [are] fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de cinquante-quatre mille quatre cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement;
7 The tribe of Zebulun [is with them]; and the prince of the sons of Zebulun [is] Eliab son of Helon;
puis la tribu de Zabulon, le prince des fils de Zabulon, Éliab, fils de Hélon,
8 and his host, and its numbered ones, [are] fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de cinquante-sept mille quatre cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement.
9 All those numbered of the camp of Judah [are] one hundred thousand and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred, by their hosts; they journey first.
Total pour le camp de Juda, d’après le dénombrement: cent quatre-vingt six mille quatre cents hommes, selon leurs corps d’armée. Ils seront les premiers dans la marche.
10 The standard of the camp of Reuben [is] southward, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Reuben [is] Elizur son of Shedeur;
Au midi, le camp de Ruben, avec sa bannière, et avec ses corps d’armée. Là camperont le prince des fils de Ruben, Élitsur, fils de Schedéur,
11 and his host, and its numbered ones, [are] forty-six thousand and five hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de quarante-six mille cinq cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement.
12 And those encamping by him [are of] the tribe of Simeon; and the prince of the sons of Simeon [is] Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;
A ses côtés camperont la tribu de Siméon, le prince des fils de Siméon, Schelumiel, fils de Tsurischaddaï,
13 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de cinquante-neuf mille trois cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement;
14 And the tribe of Gad [is with him]; and the prince of the sons of Gad [is] Eliasaph son of Reuel;
puis la tribu de Gad, le prince des fils de Gad, Éliasaph, fils de Déuel,
15 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.

16 All those numbered of the camp of Reuben [are] one hundred thousand and fifty-one thousand and four hundred and fifty, by their hosts; and they journey second.
Total pour le camp de Ruben, d’après le dénombrement: cent cinquante et un mille quatre cent cinquante hommes, selon leurs corps d’armée. Ils seront les seconds dans la marche.
17 And the Tent of Meeting has journeyed [with] the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps; as they encamp so they journey, each at his station by their standards.
Ensuite partira la tente d’assignation, avec le camp des Lévites placé au milieu des autres camps: Ils suivront dans la marche l’ordre dans lequel ils auront campé, chacun dans son rang, selon sa bannière.
18 The standard of the camp of Ephraim, by their hosts, [is] westward; and the prince of the sons of Ephraim [is] Elishama son of Ammihud;
A l’occident, le camp d’Éphraïm, avec sa bannière, et avec ses corps d’armée. Là camperont le prince des fils d’Éphraïm, Élischama, fils d’Ammihud,
19 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] forty thousand and five hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de quarante mille cinq cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement.
20 And by him [is] the tribe of Manasseh; and the prince of the sons of Manasseh [is] Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;
A ses côtés camperont la tribu de Manassé, le prince des fils de Manassé, Gamliel, fils de Pedahtsur,
21 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] thirty-two thousand and two hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de trente-deux mille deux cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement;
22 And the tribe of Benjamin [is with them]; and the prince of the sons of Benjamin [is] Abidan son of Gideoni;
puis la tribu de Benjamin, le prince des fils de Benjamin, Abidan, fils de Guideoni,
23 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] thirty-five thousand and four hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de trente-cinq mille quatre cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement.
24 All those numbered of the camp of Ephraim [are] one hundred thousand and eight thousand and one hundred, by their hosts; and they journey third.
Total pour le camp d’Éphraïm, d’après le dénombrement: cent huit mille et cent hommes, selon leurs corps d’armée. Ils seront les troisièmes dans la marche.
25 The standard of the camp of Dan [is] northward, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Dan [is] Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;
Au nord, le camp de Dan, avec sa bannière, et avec ses corps d’armée. Là camperont le prince des fils de Dan, Ahiézer, fils d’Ammischaddaï,
26 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de soixante-deux mille sept cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement.
27 And those encamping by him [are of] the tribe of Asher; and the prince of the sons of Asher [is] Pagiel son of Ocran;
A ses côtés camperont la tribu d’Aser, le prince des fils d’Aser, Paguiel, fils d’Ocran,
28 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] forty-one thousand and five hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de quarante et un mille cinq cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement;
29 And the tribe of Naphtali [is with them]; and the prince of the sons of Naphtali [is] Ahira son of Enan;
puis la tribu de Nephthali, le prince des fils de Nephthali, Ahira, fils d’Énan,
30 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
et son corps d’armée composé de cinquante-trois mille quatre cents hommes, d’après le dénombrement.
31 All those numbered of the camp of Dan [are] one hundred thousand and fifty-seven thousand and six hundred; they journey at the rear by their standards.
Total pour le camp de Dan, d’après le dénombrement: cent cinquante-sept mille six cents hommes. Ils seront les derniers dans la marche, selon leur bannière.
32 These [are] those numbered of the sons of Israel by the house of their fathers; all those numbered of the camps by their hosts [are] six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
Tels sont ceux des enfants d’Israël dont on fit le dénombrement, selon les maisons de leurs pères. Tous ceux dont on fit le dénombrement, et qui formèrent les camps, selon leurs corps d’armée, furent six cent trois mille cinq cent cinquante.
33 And the Levites have not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Les Lévites, suivant l’ordre que l’Éternel avait donné à Moïse, ne firent point partie du dénombrement au milieu des enfants d’Israël.
34 And the sons of Israel do according to all that YHWH has commanded Moses; so they have encamped by their standards, and so they have journeyed, each by his families, by the house of his fathers.
Et les enfants d’Israël se conformèrent à tous les ordres que l’Éternel avait donnés à Moïse. C’est ainsi qu’ils campaient, selon leurs bannières; et c’est ainsi qu’ils se mettaient en marche, chacun selon sa famille, selon la maison de ses pères.
