Numbers 2
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
Le Seigneur parla ensuite à Moïse, disant:
2 “The sons of Israel encamp, each by his standard, with ensigns of the house of their fathers; they encamp around, from in sight of the Tent of Meeting.”
Que les fils d'Israël campent en face les uns des autres, chaque homme restant à son rang sous ses enseignes, avec sa maison paternelle; qu'ils campent autour du tabernacle du témoignage.
3 And those encamping eastward toward the sun-rising [are] of the standard of the camp of Judah, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Judah [is] Nahshon, son of Amminadab;
Les premières tentes du côté de l'orient seront sous le commandement du camp de Juda, avec leur armée, et le chef des fils de Juda sera Nahasson, fils d'Aminadab.
4 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de soixante-quatorze mille six cents hommes.
5 And those encamping by him [are] of the tribe of Issachar; and the prince of the sons of Issachar [is] Nethaneel son of Zuar;
A côté, campera la tribu d'Issachar; leur chef sera Nathanaël, fils de Sogar.
6 and his host, and its numbered ones, [are] fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de cinquante-quatre mille quatre cents hommes.
7 The tribe of Zebulun [is with them]; and the prince of the sons of Zebulun [is] Eliab son of Helon;
A côté, campera la tribu de Zabulon; leur chef sera Eliab, fils de Chaïlon.
8 and his host, and its numbered ones, [are] fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.
Son armée selon le recensement, est de cinquante-sept mille quatre cents hommes.
9 All those numbered of the camp of Judah [are] one hundred thousand and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred, by their hosts; they journey first.
Tous les hommes recensés du camp de Juda forment un corps de cent quatre- vingt-six mille quatre cents hommes; ils lèveront le camp les premiers avec toutes leurs forces.
10 The standard of the camp of Reuben [is] southward, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Reuben [is] Elizur son of Shedeur;
Le camp de Ruben se rangera du côté du midi; et le chef des fils de Ruben sera Elisur, fils de Sédiur.
11 and his host, and its numbered ones, [are] forty-six thousand and five hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de quarante-six mille cinq cents hommes.
12 And those encamping by him [are of] the tribe of Simeon; and the prince of the sons of Simeon [is] Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;
A côté, campera la tribu de Siméon; leur chef sera Salamiel, fils de Surisadaï.
13 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de cinquante-neuf mille trois cents hommes.
14 And the tribe of Gad [is with him]; and the prince of the sons of Gad [is] Eliasaph son of Reuel;
A côté, campera la tribu de Gad; leur chef sera Eliasaph, fils de Raguel.
15 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de quarante-cinq mille six cent cinquante hommes.
16 All those numbered of the camp of Reuben [are] one hundred thousand and fifty-one thousand and four hundred and fifty, by their hosts; and they journey second.
Tous les hommes recensés du camp de Ruben, forment un corps de cent cinquante-un mille trois cent cinquante hommes; ils décamperont les seconds avec toutes leurs forces.
17 And the Tent of Meeting has journeyed [with] the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps; as they encamp so they journey, each at his station by their standards.
Le tabernacle du Seigneur sera dressé, et le camp des lévites sera placé au centre des camps; on marchera dans le même ordre que l'on dressera les tentes, chacun restant au corps auquel il appartient.
18 The standard of the camp of Ephraim, by their hosts, [is] westward; and the prince of the sons of Ephraim [is] Elishama son of Ammihud;
Le camp d'Ephraïm se rangera du côté de l'occident; le chef des fils d'Ephraïm sera Elisama, fils d'Emiud.
19 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] forty thousand and five hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de quarante mille cinq cents hommes.
20 And by him [is] the tribe of Manasseh; and the prince of the sons of Manasseh [is] Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;
A côté, campera la tribu de Manassé; leur chef sera Gamaliel, fils de Phadasur.
21 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] thirty-two thousand and two hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de trente-deux mille deux cents hommes.
22 And the tribe of Benjamin [is with them]; and the prince of the sons of Benjamin [is] Abidan son of Gideoni;
A côté, campera la tribu de Benjamin; leur chef sera Abidan, fils de Gadéoni.
23 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] thirty-five thousand and four hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de trente-cinq mille quatre cents hommes.
24 All those numbered of the camp of Ephraim [are] one hundred thousand and eight thousand and one hundred, by their hosts; and they journey third.
Tous les hommes recensés du camp d'Ephraïm forment un corps de cent huit mille cent hommes; ils décamperont avec toutes leurs forces.
25 The standard of the camp of Dan [is] northward, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Dan [is] Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;
Le camp de Dan se rangera du côté du nord; et le chef des fils de Dan sera Achiézer, fils d'Amisadaï.
26 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de soixante-deux mille sept cents hommes.
27 And those encamping by him [are of] the tribe of Asher; and the prince of the sons of Asher [is] Pagiel son of Ocran;
A côté, campera la tribu d'Aser; leur chef sera Phagéel, fils d'Echran.
28 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] forty-one thousand and five hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de quarante-un mille cinq cents hommes.
29 And the tribe of Naphtali [is with them]; and the prince of the sons of Naphtali [is] Ahira son of Enan;
A côté, campera la tribu de Nephthali; leur chef sera Achire, fils d'Enan.
30 and his host, and their numbered ones, [are] fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
Son armée, selon le recensement, est de cinquante-trois mille quatre cents hommes.
31 All those numbered of the camp of Dan [are] one hundred thousand and fifty-seven thousand and six hundred; they journey at the rear by their standards.
Tous les hommes recensés du camp de Dan forment un corps de cent cinquante-sept mille six cents hommes; ils décamperont les derniers, selon leur rang.
32 These [are] those numbered of the sons of Israel by the house of their fathers; all those numbered of the camps by their hosts [are] six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
Tel est le dénombrement des fils d'Israël, par maisons paternelles; le total du recensement de leurs forces donne six cent trois mille cinq cent cinquante hommes.
33 And the Levites have not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, as YHWH has commanded Moses.
Or, les lévites, comme le Seigneur l'avait prescrit à Moïse, ne furent point recensés avec eux.
34 And the sons of Israel do according to all that YHWH has commanded Moses; so they have encamped by their standards, and so they have journeyed, each by his families, by the house of his fathers.
Et les fils d'Israël firent tout ce que le Seigneur avait prescrit à Moïse; ils campèrent dans l'ordre à eux assigné, ils marchèrent en continuant de se tenir les uns près des autres, rangés par familles et par tribus.
