Numbers 17
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise, spunând:
2 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and take a rod from each of them, for a father’s house, from all their princes, for the house of their fathers—twelve rods; you write the name of each on his rod,
Vorbește copiilor lui Israel și ia de la fiecare dintre ei un toiag conform casei părinților lor, dintre toți prinții lor conform casei părinților lor douăsprezece toiege; scrie numele fiecărui bărbat pe toiagul său.
3 and you write Aaron’s name on the tribe of Levi; for one rod [is] for the head of their fathers’ house.
Și să scrii numele lui Aaron pe toiagul lui Levi, pentru ca un singur toiag să fie pentru capul casei părinților lor.
4 And you have placed them in the Tent of Meeting before the Testimony, where I meet with you.
Și să le pui în tabernacolul întâlnirii înaintea mărturiei, unde mă voi întâlni cu voi.
5 And it has come to pass, the man’s rod on whom I fix flourishes, and I have caused the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against you, to cease from off Me.”
Și se va întâmpla, că toiagul bărbatului, pe care îl voi alege, va înflori; și voi face să înceteze dinaintea mea cârtirile copiilor lui Israel, prin care ei cârtesc împotriva voastră.
6 And Moses speaks to the sons of Israel, and all their princes give to him one rod for a prince, one rod for a prince, for their fathers’ house—twelve rods; and the rod of Aaron [is] in the midst of their rods;
Și Moise a vorbit copiilor lui Israel și fiecare dintre prinții lor i-a dat câte un toiag, pentru fiecare prinț un singur toiag, conform cu casele părinților lor, douăsprezece toiege și toiagul lui Aaron era printre toiegele lor.
7 and Moses places the rods before YHWH in the Tent of the Testimony.
Și Moise a pus toiegele înaintea DOMNULUI în tabernacolul mărturiei.
8 And it comes to pass, on the next day, that Moses goes into the Tent of the Testimony, and behold, the rod of Aaron has flourished for the house of Levi, and brings out a bud, and blossoms [with] a blossom, and produces almonds;
Și s-a întâmplat, că a doua zi Moise a intrat în tabernacolul mărturiei; și, iată, toiagul lui Aaron pentru casa lui Levi a fost înmugurit și a scos muguri și a înflorit flori și a dat migdale.
9 and Moses brings out all the rods from before YHWH to all the sons of Israel, and they look, and each takes his rod.
Și Moise a scos afară, dinaintea DOMNULUI, toate toiegele, la toți copiii lui Israel, iar ei au privit și și-a luat fiecare toiagul său.
10 And YHWH says to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the Testimony, for a charge, for a sign to the sons of rebellion, and you remove their murmurings from off Me, and they do not die”;
Și DOMNUL i-a spus lui Moise: Adu toiagul lui Aaron din nou înaintea mărturiei, să fie ținut ca dovadă împotriva răzvrătiților; și să pui capăt cârtirilor lor față de mine, ca să nu moară.
11 and Moses does as YHWH has commanded him; so he has done.
Și Moise a făcut precum DOMNUL i-a poruncit, astfel a făcut.
12 And the sons of Israel speak to Moses, saying, “Behold, we have expired, we have perished, all of us have perished!
Și copiii lui Israel i-au spus lui Moise, zicând: Iată, murim, pierim, pierim cu toții.
13 Any who is at all drawing near to the Dwelling Place of YHWH dies; have we not been consumed—to expire?”
Oricine se apropie de tabernacolul DOMNULUI va muri; vom muri cu toții?
