Numbers 15

1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

١ وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى:

2 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: When you come into the land of your dwellings, which I am giving to you,

٢ «أَوْصِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَقُلْ لَهُمْ: مَتَى اسْتَوْطَنْتُمُ الأَرْضَ الَّتِي أَنَا وَاهِبُهَا لَكُمْ مَسْكَناً،

3 then you have prepared a fire-offering to YHWH, a burnt-offering or a sacrifice, for separating a vow or free-will offering, or in your appointed things, to make a refreshing fragrance to YHWH, out of the herd or out of the flock.

٣ وَقَدَّمْتُمْ لِي قُرْبَانَ مُحْرَقَةٍ أَوْ ذَبِيحَةٍ وَفَاءً لِنَذْرٍ، أَوْ تَقْدِمَةً طَوْعِيَّةً أَوْ قَرَابِينَ فِي أَعْيَادِكُمْ لِلْحُظْوَةِ بِرِضَى الرَّبِّ وَمَسَرَّتِهِ، مِنَ الْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ.

4 And he who is bringing his offering near to YHWH has brought a present near of a tenth part of flour mixed with a fourth of the hin of oil;

٤ فَلْيُرْفِقْهَا الْمُقَرِّبُ بِتَقْدِمَةِ عُشْرٍ مِنَ الدَّقِيقِ الْمَعْجُونِ بِرُبْعِ الْهِينِ (نَحْوَ لِتْرٍ) مِنَ الزَّيْتِ،

5 and you prepare a fourth of the hin of wine for a drink-offering, with the burnt-offering or for the sacrifice, for one lamb;

٥ وَسَكِيبِ خَمْرٍ مِقْدَارُهُ رُبْعُ الْهِينِ (نَحْوَ لِتْرٍ)، يُصْعِدُهُ مَعَ الْمُحْرَقَةِ أَوِ الذَّبِيحَةِ لِلْحَمَلِ الْوَاحِدِ.

6 or for a ram you prepare a present of two-tenth parts of flour mixed with a third of the hin of oil;

٦ أَمَّا مَعَ الْكَبْشِ فَلْيُقَرِّبْ تَقْدِمَةً عُشْرَيْنِ مِنَ الدَّقِيقِ مَعْجُونَيْنِ بِثُلْثِ الْهِينِ (بِنَحْوِ لِتْرٍ وَثُلْثِ اللِّتْرِ) مِنَ الزَّيْتِ

7 and you bring a third part of the hin of wine near for a drink-offering—a refreshing fragrance to YHWH.

٧ وَسَكِيبَ خَمْرٍ مِقْدَارُهُ ثُلْثُ الْهِينِ (نَحْوَ لِتْرٍ وَثُلْثِ اللِّتْرِ)، يُصْعِدُهَا لِلْحُظْوَةِ بِرِضَى الرَّبِّ وَمَسَرَّتِهِ.

8 And when you make a son of the herd a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice for separating a vow, or peace-offerings to YHWH,

٨ وَإذَا قَرَّبْتَ ثَوْراً مُحْرَقَةً أَوْ ذَبِيحَةً وَفَاءً لِنَذْرٍ أَوْ ذَبِيحَةَ سَلامٍ لِلرَّبِّ،

9 then he has brought near for the son of the herd a present of three-tenth parts of flour mixed with a half of the hin of oil;

٩ فَأَصْعِدْ مَعَ الثَّوْرِ تَقْدِمَةً ثَلاثَةَ أَعْشَارٍ مِنَ الدَّقِيقِ مَعْجُونَةً بِنِصْفِ الْهِينِ (بِنَحْوِ لِتْرَيْنِ) مِنَ الزَّيْتِ.

10 and you bring a half of the hin of wine near for a drink-offering, [for] a fire-offering of refreshing fragrance to YHWH;

١٠ وَسَكِيبَ خَمْرٍ مِقْدَارُهُ نِصْفُ الْهِينِ (نَحْوَ لِتْرَيْنِ)، لِيَكُونَ وَقُودَ رِضَىً وَمَسَرَّةٍ لِلرَّبِّ.

11 thus it is done for one ox, or for one ram, or for a lamb of the sheep or of the goats.

١١ هَذَا مَا يُقَدَّمُ لِلثَّوْرِ الْوَاحِدِ، أَوْ لِلْكَبْشِ الْوَاحِدِ، أَوْ لِلْحَمَلِ أَوْ لِلتَّيْسِ.

12 According to the number that you prepare, so you do to each, according to their number;

١٢ هَكَذَا تَفْعَلُونَ بِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهَا عَلَى حَسَبِ أَعْدَادِهَا.

13 every native does thus with these, for bringing a fire-offering near of refreshing fragrance to YHWH;

١٣ وَيُمَارِسُ كُلُّ مُواطِنٍ إِسْرَائِيلِيٍّ هَذِهِ الشَّعَائِرَ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِثَالِ عِنْدَمَا يُقَدِّمُ مُحْرَقَةً لِتَكُونَ رَائِحَةَ سُرُورٍ لِلرَّبِّ.

14 and when a sojourner sojourns with you, or whoever [is] in your midst throughout your generations, and he has made a fire-offering of refreshing fragrance to YHWH, as you do so he does.

١٤ وَإذَا قَرَّبَ غَرِيبٌ مُقِيمٌ فِي وَسَطِكُمْ، أَوْ نَازِلٌ فِي دِيَارِكُمْ عَلَى مَدَى أَجْيَالِكُمْ مُحْرَقَةً رَائِحَةَ سُرُورٍ لِلرَّبِّ، فَلْيَصْنَعْ كَمَا تَصْنَعُونَ.

15 One statute is for you of the congregation and for the sojourner who is sojourning, a continuous statute throughout your generations: as you [are] so is the sojourner before YHWH;

١٥ فَهَذِهِ فَرِيضَةٌ دَائِمَةٌ لَكُمْ، وَلِلْغَرِيبِ النَّازِلِ عِنْدَكُمْ عَلَى مَدَى أَجْيَالِكُمْ، فَتَكُونُونَ عَلَى حَدٍّ سَوَاءٍ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ.

16 one law and one ordinance is for you and for the sojourner who is sojourning with you.”

١٦ فَتَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَلِلْغَرِيبِ النَّازِلِ عِنْدَكُمْ شَرِيعَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ وَحُكْمٌ وَاحِدٌ».

17 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

١٧ وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى:

18 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: In your coming into the land to where I am bringing you in,

١٨ «أَوْصِ شَعْبَ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَقُلْ لَهُمْ: مَتَى دَخَلْتُمُ الأَرْضَ الَّتِي أَنَا آخِذُكُمْ إِلَيْهَا،

19 then it has been, in your eating of the bread of the land, you raise up a raised-offering to YHWH;

١٩ وَأَكَلْتُمْ مِنْ غَلَّتِهَا، فَأَصْعِدُوا لِي تَقْدِمَةً مِنْهَا.

20 you raise up a cake of the first of your dough [as] a raised-offering; as the raised-offering of a threshing-floor, so you raise it up.

٢٠ مِنْ أَوَّلِ عَجِينِكُمْ تُقَدِّمُونَ قُرْصاً قُرْبَاناً، كَقُرْبَانِ الْبَيْدَرِ هَكَذَا تُقَدِّمُونَهُ.

21 You give to YHWH from the first of your dough [as] a raised-offering throughout your generations.

٢١ إِذْ يَتَوَجَّبُ عَلَيْكُمْ، جِيلاً بَعْدَ جِيلٍ، أَنْ تُقَدِّمُوا قُرْبَاناً لِي مِنْ أَوَّلِ عَجِينِكُمْ.

22 And when you err, and do not do all these commands which YHWH has spoken to Moses—

٢٢ وَإذَا سَهَوْتُمْ وَلَمْ تُنَفِّذُوا جَمِيعَ هَذِهِ الْوَصَايَا الَّتِي أَبْلَغْتُهَا لِمُوسَى،

23 the whole that YHWH has charged on you by the hand of Moses, from the day that YHWH has commanded and from now on, throughout your generations—

٢٣ وَالَّتِي أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِمُمَارَسَتِهَا عَلَى مَدَى أَجْيَالِكُمْ، مُنْذُ أَنْ أَصْدَرْتُهَا إِلَيْكُمْ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُوسَى،

24 then it has been, if from the eyes of the congregation it has been done through ignorance, that all the congregation has prepared one bullock, a son of the herd, for a burnt-offering, for refreshing fragrance to YHWH, and its present, and its drink-offering, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering.

٢٤ وَإِنْ حَدَثَ هَذَا سَهْواً وَعَنْ غَيْرِ عِلْمِ الْجَمَاعَةِ، فَعَلَى كُلِّ الْجَمَاعَةِ أَنْ تُقَرِّبَ ثَوْراً مُحْرَقَةً رَائِحَةَ سُرُورٍ لِلرَّبِّ مَعَ تَقْدِمَةٍ مِنَ الدَّقِيقِ وَسَكِيبِهِ مِنَ الْخَمْرِ طِبْقاً لِلشَّعَائِرِ، وَتَيْساً وَاحِداً ذَبِيحَةَ خَطِيئَةٍ.

25 And the priest has made atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and it has been forgiven them, for it [is] ignorance, and they have brought in their offering, a fire-offering to YHWH, and their sin-offering before YHWH for their ignorance;

٢٥ فَيُكَفِّرُ الْكَاهِنُ عَنْ جَمِيعِ شَعْبِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَأَصْفَحُ عَنْهُمْ، لأَنَّ الأَمْرَ صَدَرَ سَهْواً عَنْهُمْ.

26 and it has been forgiven to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and to the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst, for that all the people [did it] through ignorance.

٢٦ فَأَصْفَحُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِ كُلِّهِ، وَالْغَرِيبِ الْمُقِيمِ بَيْنَكُمْ، لأَنَّ الأَمْرَ صَدَرَ سَهْواً عَنِ الشَّعْبِ جَمِيعِهِ.

27 And if one person sins through ignorance, then he has brought a female goat near, daughter of a year, for a sin-offering;

٢٧ وَإِنْ أَخْطَأَتْ نَفْسٌ وَاحِدَةٌ سَهْواً، فَلْتُقَرِّبْ عَنْزَةً حَوْلِيَّةً ذَبِيحَةَ خَطِيئَةٍ.

28 and the priest has made atonement for the person who is erring, in his sinning through ignorance before YHWH, by making atonement for him, and it has been forgiven him;

٢٨ فَيُكَفِّرُ الْكَاهِنُ عَنِ النَّفْسِ الَّتِي سَهَتْ فَأَخْطَأَتْ أَمَامِي فَأَصْفَحُ عَنْهَا عِنْدَمَا يَتِمُّ التَّكْفِيرُ عَنْهَا.

29 one law is for yourselves—for the native among the sons of Israel and for the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst—for him who is doing [anything] through ignorance.

٢٩ وَتَكُونُ هَذِهِ شَرِيعَةً وَاحِدَةً تُطَبَّقُ عَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ أَخْطَأَ سَهْواً سَوَاءٌ كَانَ مُواطِناً أَمْ غَرِيباً نَازِلاً بَيْنَكُمْ.

30 And the person who does [evil] with a high hand—of the native or of the sojourner—he is reviling YHWH, and that person has been cut off from the midst of his people;

٣٠ أَمَّا إِنْ تَعَمَّدَ أَحَدٌ الْخَطَأَ، سَوَاءٌ كَانَ مِنَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ أَمْ مِنَ الْغُرَبَاءِ، فَهُوَ يَزْدَرِي بِي وَيَجِبُ أَنْ يُسْتَأْصَلَ مِنْ بَيْنِ شَعْبِهِ،

31 because he despised the word of YHWH and has broken His command, that person is certainly cut off; his iniquity [is] on him.”

٣١ لأَنَّهُ احْتَقَرَ كَلامِي وَنَقَضَ وَصِيَّتِي، لِهَذَا يُسْتَأْصَلُ مُتَحَمِّلاً عِقَابَ ذَنْبِهِ».

32 And the sons of Israel are in the wilderness, and they find a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day,

٣٢ وَفِي أَثْنَاءِ إِقَامَةِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ، وَجَدُوا رَجُلاً يَجْمَعُ حَطَباً فِي يَوْمِ السَّبْتِ،

33 and those finding him gathering wood bring him near to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation,

٣٣ فَاقْتَادُوهُ إِلَى مُوسَى وَهَرُونَ وَبَقِيَّةِ الْجَمَاعَةِ،

34 and they place him in confinement, for it [is] not explained what is [to be] done to him.

٣٤ وَزَجُّوهُ فِي السِّجْنِ لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَاضِحاً بَعْدُ مَا يَتَوَجَّبُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يَفْعَلُوا بِهِ.

35 And YHWH says to Moses, “The man is certainly put to death [by] all the congregation stoning him with stones at the outside of the camp.”

٣٥ فَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى: «لِتَرْجُمْهُ الْجَمَاعَةُ كُلُّهَا بِالْحِجَارَةِ خَارِجَ الْمُخَيَّمِ، لأَنَّ عِقَابَهُ الْقَتْلُ حَتْماً».

36 And all the congregation brings him out to the outside of the camp and stone him with stones, and he dies, as YHWH has commanded Moses.

٣٦ فَأَخَذَهُ الشَّعْبُ إِلَى خَارِجِ الْمُخَيَّمِ وَرَجَمُوهُ بِالْحِجَارَةِ حَتَّى مَاتَ، كَمَا أَمَرَ الرَّبُّ مُوسَى.

37 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

٣٧ وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى:

38 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you have commanded to them, and they have made fringes on the skirts of their garments for themselves, throughout their generations, and they have put a ribbon of blue on the fringe of the skirt,

٣٨ «أَوْصِ شَعْبَ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَقُلْ لَهُمْ: اِصْنَعُوا عَلَى مَدَى أَجْيَالِكُمْ، أَهْدَاباً فِي أَذْيَالِ ثِيَابِكُمْ وَضَعُوا عَلَى هُدُبِ الذَّيْلِ خَيْطاً أَزْرَقَ.

39 and it has been to you for a fringe, and you have seen it, and have remembered all the commands of YHWH, and have done them, and you do not search after your heart and after your eyes, after which you are going whoring,

٣٩ فَتَرَوْنَ أَهْدَابَكُمْ هَذِهِ وَتَذْكُرُونَ كُلَّ وَصَايَايَ وَتُطِيعُونَهَا، وَلا تُغْوُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِاتِّبَاعِ شَهْوَاتِ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَعُيُونِكُمْ.

40 so that you remember and have done all My commands, and you have been holy to your God.

٤٠ عِنْدَئِذٍ تَتَذَكَّرُونَ أَنْ تُطِيعُوا جَمِيعَ وَصَايَايَ وَتَتَقَدَّسُوا لإِلَهِكُمْ.

41 I [am] your God YHWH, who has brought you out from the land of Egypt to become your God; I [am] your God YHWH.”

٤١ فَأَنَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمُ الَّذِي أَخْرَجَكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِ مِصْرَ لِيَكُونَ لَكُمْ إِلَهاً. أَنَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ».
