Numbers 12
1 And Miriam speaks—Aaron also—against Moses concerning the circumstance of the Cushite woman whom he had taken, for he had taken a Cushite woman;
Miriam y Aarón hablaron contra Moisés a causa de la esposa cusita que tomó, pues él había tomado esposa cusita.
2 and they say, “Has YHWH only spoken by Moses? Has he not also spoken by us?” And YHWH hears.
Dijeron: ¿Yavé habla solo a través de Moisés? ¿No ha hablado también por medio de nosotros? Y Yavé lo oyó.
3 And the man Moses [is] very humble, more than any of the men who [are] on the face of the ground.
(Aquel varón Moisés era muy manso, más que todos los hombres que había sobre la superficie de la tierra.)
4 And YHWH suddenly says to Moses, and to Aaron, and to Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting”; and those three come out.
Súbitamente Yavé dijo a Moisés, a Aarón y a Miriam: Salgan ustedes tres al Tabernáculo de Reunión. Y los tres salieron.
5 And YHWH comes down in the pillar of the cloud, and stands at the opening of the tent, and calls Aaron and Miriam, and both of them come out.
Yavé descendió en la columna de nube, se situó en la entrada del Tabernáculo, y llamó a Aarón y a Miriam. Y ambos salieron.
6 And He says, “Now hear My words: If your prophet is of YHWH, I make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.
Él les dijo: Oigan ahora mis Palabras: Si hay entre ustedes un profeta, Yo, Yavé, me revelo a él en visión y le hablo en sueños.
7 Not so My servant Moses; He [is] steadfast in all My house.
No ocurre así con mi esclavo Moisés, quien es fiel en toda mi casa.
8 I speak with him mouth to mouth, Even [by] an appearance, and not in riddles; And he beholds the form of YHWH attentively. Now why have you not been afraid To speak against My servant—against Moses?”
Hablo con él boca a boca en visión, pero sin enigmas, y él contempla la apariencia de Yavé. ¿Por qué no tuvieron temor de hablar contra mi esclavo Moisés?
9 And the anger of YHWH burns against them, and He goes on,
La ira de Yavé se encendió contra ellos y se fue,
10 and the cloud has turned aside from off the tent, and behold, Miriam [is] leprous as snow; and Aaron turns to Miriam, and behold, leprous!
y la nube se apartó del Tabernáculo. De repente Miriam apareció leprosa como la nieve. Entonces Aarón volvió a ver a Miriam, ¡y ahí estaba leprosa!
11 And Aaron says to Moses, “O my lord, please do not lay [this] sin on us [in] which we have been foolish, and [in] which we have sinned;
Aarón dijo a Moisés: ¡Ah! ʼadón mío, te ruego, no pongas sobre nosotros este pecado en el cual fuimos insensatos y pecamos.
12 please do not let her be as [one] dead, when in his coming out from the womb of his mother—the half of his flesh is consumed.”
No sea ella, te ruego, como el que nace muerto, que al salir del vientre de su madre, ya tiene consumida la mitad de su carne.
13 And Moses cries to YHWH, saying, “O God, please give healing to her! Please!”
Entonces Moisés clamó a Yavé: ¡Te ruego, oh ʼElohim, sánala ahora!
14 And YHWH says to Moses, “But [if] her father had but spat in her face—is she not ashamed [for] seven days? She is shut out [for] seven days at the outside of the camp, and afterward she is gathered.”
Pero Yavé dijo a Moisés: Si su padre la hubiera escupido en la cara, ¿no estaría ella avergonzada siete días? Sea echada fuera del campamento por siete días, y después sea recibida otra vez.
15 And Miriam is shut out at the outside of the camp [for] seven days, and the people have not journeyed until Miriam is gathered;
Y Miriam fue echada del campamento durante siete días, y el pueblo no salió de allí hasta que Miriam fue readmitida.
16 and afterward the people have journeyed from Hazeroth, and they encamp in the wilderness of Paran.
Después el pueblo salió de Haserot y acamparon en el desierto de Parán.
