Numbers 10
1 And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,
El Señor le dijo a Moisés:
2 “Make two trumpets of silver for yourself; you make them of beaten work, and they have been for you for the convocation of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps;
“Haz dos trompetas de plata martillada. Se usarán para convocar a los israelitas y para hacer que el campamento se mueva.
3 and they have blown with them, and all the congregation has assembled to you at the opening of the Tent of Meeting.
Cuando se toquen las dos trompetas, todos los israelitas se reunirán ante ti en la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión.
4 And if they blow with one, then the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, have assembled to you;
Pero si sólo se toca una, sólo los líderes de la tribu se reunirán ante ti.
5 and you have blown—a shout, and the camps which are encamping eastward have journeyed.
“Cuando se toque la trompeta, que es la señal de alarma para salir, los campamentos del lado este deben salir primero.
6 And you have blown—a second shout, and the camps which are encamping southward have journeyed; they blow a shout for their journeys.
Cuando se toca la trompeta por segunda vez, los campamentos del lado sur deben marchar. Esa es su señal para empezar a moverse.
7 And in the assembling of the assembly you blow, and do not shout;
Para convocar a la gente, soplen las trompetas normalmente, no la señal de alarma fuerte.
8 and sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets; and they have been for a continuous statute to you throughout your generations.
Los descendientes de Aarón deben tocar las trompetas. Esta regulación seguirá vigente en todos los tiempos y para todas las generaciones futuras.
9 And when you go into battle in your land against the adversary who is distressing you, then you have shouted with the trumpets, and you have been remembered before your God YHWH, and you have been saved from your enemies.
“Cuando estés en tu propia tierra y tengas que ir a la batalla contra un enemigo que te haya atacado, toca la señal de alarma y el Señor tu Dios no te olvidará: te salvará de tus enemigos.
10 And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed times, and in the beginnings of your months, you have also blown with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings, and they have been for a memorial to you before your God; I [am] your God YHWH.”
Toquen las trompetas cuando celebren también, en sus fiestas regulares y al principio de cada mes. Es decir, cuando traigas tus holocaustos y tus ofrendas de comunión que serán como un recordatorio para ti ante tu Dios. Yo soy el Señor tu Dios”.
11 And it comes to pass, in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth of the month, the cloud has gone up from off the Dwelling Place of the Testimony,
Entonces la nube se levantó del Tabernáculo del Testimonio el vigésimo día del segundo mes del segundo año.
12 and the sons of Israel journey in their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud dwells in the wilderness of Paran;
Los israelitas abandonaron el desierto del Sinaí y se desplazaron de un lugar a otro hasta que la nube se detuvo en el desierto de Parán.
13 and they journey at first by the command of YHWH in the hand of Moses.
Esta fue la primera vez que salieron siguiendo el mandato del Señor a través de Moisés.
14 And the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah journeys in the first [place], by their hosts, and over its host [is] Nahshon son of Amminadab.
Las divisiones de la tribu de Judá fueron las primeras en marchar bajo su bandera, con Naasón, hijo de Aminadab, al mando.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar [is] Nathaneel son of Zuar.
Natanael, hijo de Zuar, estaba a cargo de la tribu de Isacar,
16 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun [is] Eliab son of Helon.
y Eliab, hijo de Helón, estaba a cargo de la división tribal de Zabulón.
17 And the Dwelling Place has been taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari have journeyed, carrying the Dwelling Place.
Entonces el Tabernáculo fue desmontado, y los guersonitas y los meraritas que lo llevaban se pusieron en marcha.
18 And the standard of the camp of Reuben has journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host [is] Elizur son of Shedeur.
Luego vinieron las divisiones de la tribu de Rubén, quienes marcharon bajo su bandera, con Elisur, hijo de Sedeur, a cargo.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon [is] Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.
Selumiel, hijo de Zurishaddai, estaba a cargo de la tribu de Simeón,
20 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad [is] Eliasaph son of Deuel.
y Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel, estaba a cargo de la tribu de Gad.
21 And the Kohathites have journeyed, carrying the Dwelling Place, and the [others] have raised up the Dwelling Place until their coming in.
Entonces los coatitas se pusieron en marcha, llevando los objetos sagrados. El tabernáculo se colocaría antes de que llegaran.
22 And the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim has journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host [is] Elishama son of Ammihud.
Luego vinieron las divisiones de la tribu de Efraín, y marcharon bajo su bandera, con Elisama, hijo de Amihud a cargo.
23 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh [is] Gamalial son of Pedahzur.
Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur, estaba a cargo de la tribu de Manasés,
24 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin [is] Abidan son of Gideoni.
y Abidán, hijo de Gedeón, estaba a cargo de la tribu de Benjamín.
25 And the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan has journeyed (rearward to all the camps), by their hosts, and over its host [is] Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.
Finalmente llegaron las divisiones de Dan que marcharon bajo su bandera, defendiendo la retaguardia de todos los grupos tribales, con Ahiezer, hijo de Amisadai, a cargo.
26 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher [is] Pagiel son of Ocran.
Pagiel, hijo de Ocrán, estaba a cargo de la tribu de Aser,
27 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali [is] Ahira son of Enan.
y Ajirá, hijo de Enán, estaba a cargo de la tribu de Neftalí.
28 These [are] the journeys of the sons of Israel by their hosts when they journey.
Este era el orden en el se desplazaban las tribus de Israel.
29 And Moses says to Hobab son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses, “We are journeying to the place of which YHWH has said, I give it to you; go with us, and we have done good to you, for YHWH has spoken good concerning Israel.”
Moisés le explicó a Hobab, el hijo del suegro de Moisés, Reuel, el madianita, “Nos vamos al lugar que el Señor prometió diciendo: ‘Te daré esta tierra’. Ven con nosotros y seremos buenos contigo, porque el Señor le ha prometido cosas buenas a Israel”.
30 And he says to him, “I do not go; but I go to my land and to my family.”
“No, no me iré, volveré a mi país y a mi pueblo”, respondió Hobab.
31 And he says, “Please do not forsake us, because you have known our encamping in the wilderness, and you have been to us for eyes;
“Por favor, no nos abandones ahora”, le dijo Moisés, “porque tú eres el único que sabe dónde debemos acampar en el desierto y puedes guiarnos.
32 and it has come to pass, when you go with us—indeed, it has come to pass—that good which YHWH does kindly with us, we have done it kindly to you.”
Si vienes con nosotros, todo lo bueno que el Señor nos de como bendición lo compartiremos contigo”.
33 And they journey from the mountain of YHWH a journey of three days; and the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH is journeying before them [for] the journey of three days, to spy out a resting place for them;
Se fueron de la montaña del Señor para hacer un viaje de tres días, y El Arca del Pacto del Señor les mostró el camino durante estos tres días para encontrar un lugar para acampar.
34 and the cloud of YHWH [is] on them by day, in their journeying from the camp.
La nube del Señor estuvo sobre ellos durante el día mientras se alejaban del campamento.
35 And it comes to pass in the journeying of the Ark, that Moses says, “Rise, O YHWH, and Your enemies are scattered, and those hating You flee from Your presence.”
Cada vez que el Arca avanzaba, Moisés gritaba: “Levántate, Señor, y que tus enemigos se dispersen, y que los que te odian huyan de ti”.
36 And in its resting he says, “Return, O YHWH, [to] the myriads, the thousands of Israel.”
Cada vez que se detenía, Moisés gritaba: “Vuelve, Señor, a los miles y miles del pueblo de Israel”.
