Aionian Verses
and all his sons and all his daughters rise to comfort him, and he refuses to comfort himself, and says, “For I go down to my son mourning, to Sheol,” and his father weeps for him. (Sheol h7585)
| ויקמו כל בניו וכל בנתיו לנחמו וימאן להתנחם ויאמר כי ארד אל בני אבל שאלה ויבך אתו אביו׃ (Sheol h7585) |
and he says, “My son does not go down with you, for his brother [is] dead, and he by himself is left; when harm has met him in the way in which you go, then you have brought down my grey hairs in sorrow to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
| ויאמר לא ירד בני עמכם כי אחיו מת והוא לבדו נשאר וקראהו אסון בדרך אשר תלכו בה והורדתם את שיבתי ביגון שאולה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
when you have taken also this from my presence, and harm has met him, then you have brought down my grey hairs with evil to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| ולקחתם גם את זה מעם פני וקרהו אסון והורדתם את שיבתי ברעה שאלה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
then it has come to pass, when he sees that the youth is not, that he has died, and your servants have brought down the grey hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to Sheol; (Sheol h7585)
| והיה כראותו כי אין הנער ומת והורידו עבדיך את שיבת עבדך אבינו ביגון שאלה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
but if YHWH does a strange thing, and the ground has opened her mouth and swallowed them and all that they have, and they have gone down alive to Sheol, then you have known that these men have despised YHWH.” (Sheol h7585)
| ואם בריאה יברא יהוה ופצתה האדמה את פיה ובלעה אתם ואת כל אשר להם וירדו חיים שאלה וידעתם כי נאצו האנשים האלה את יהוה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
and they go down—they and all that they have—alive to Sheol, and the earth closes over them, and they perish from the midst of the assembly; (Sheol h7585)
| וירדו הם וכל אשר להם חיים שאלה ותכס עליהם הארץ ויאבדו מתוך הקהל׃ (Sheol h7585) |
For a fire has been kindled in My anger, And it burns to the lowest [part] of Sheol, And consumes earth and its increase, And sets on fire [the] foundations of mountains. (Sheol h7585)
| כי אש קדחה באפי ותיקד עד שאול תחתית ותאכל ארץ ויבלה ותלהט מוסדי הרים׃ (Sheol h7585) |
YHWH puts to death, and keeps alive, He brings down to Sheol, and brings up. (Sheol h7585)
| יהוה ממית ומחיה מוריד שאול ויעל׃ (Sheol h7585) |
The cords of Sheol have surrounded me, The snares of death have been before me. (Sheol h7585)
| חבלי שאול סבני קדמני מקשי מות׃ (Sheol h7585) |
and you have done according to your wisdom, and do not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| ועשית כחכמתך ולא תורד שיבתו בשלם שאל׃ (Sheol h7585) |
and now, do not acquit him, for you [are] a wise man, and you have known that which you do to him, and have brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
| ועתה אל תנקהו כי איש חכם אתה וידעת את אשר תעשה לו והורדת את שיבתו בדם שאול׃ (Sheol h7585) |
A cloud has been consumed, and it goes, So he who is going down to Sheol does not come up. (Sheol h7585)
| כלה ענן וילך כן יורד שאול לא יעלה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Heights of the heavens—what [can] you do? Deeper than Sheol—what [can] you know? (Sheol h7585)
| גבהי שמים מה תפעל עמקה משאול מה תדע׃ (Sheol h7585) |
O that You would conceal me in Sheol, Hide me until the turning of Your anger, Set a limit for me, and remember me. (Sheol h7585)
| מי יתן בשאול תצפנני תסתירני עד שוב אפך תשית לי חק ותזכרני׃ (Sheol h7585) |
If I wait—Sheol [is] my house, In darkness I have spread out my bed. (Sheol h7585)
| אם אקוה שאול ביתי בחשך רפדתי יצועי׃ (Sheol h7585) |
You go down [to] the parts of Sheol, If we may rest together on the dust.” (Sheol h7585)
| בדי שאל תרדנה אם יחד על עפר נחת׃ (Sheol h7585) |
They wear out their days in good, And in a moment go down [to] Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| יבלו בטוב ימיהם וברגע שאול יחתו׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Drought—also heat—consume snow-waters, Sheol—[those who] have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
| ציה גם חם יגזלו מימי שלג שאול חטאו׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Sheol [is] naked before Him, And there is no covering to destruction. (Sheol h7585)
| ערום שאול נגדו ואין כסות לאבדון׃ (Sheol h7585) |
For in death there is no memorial of You, In Sheol, who gives thanks to You? (Sheol h7585)
| כי אין במות זכרך בשאול מי יודה לך׃ (Sheol h7585) |
The wicked turn back to Sheol, All nations forgetting God. (Sheol h7585)
| ישובו רשעים לשאולה כל גוים שכחי אלהים׃ (Sheol h7585) |
For You do not leave my soul to Sheol, Nor give your Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
| כי לא תעזב נפשי לשאול לא תתן חסידך לראות שחת׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Cords of Sheol have surrounded me, Snares of death have been before me. (Sheol h7585)
| חבלי שאול סבבוני קדמוני מוקשי מות׃ (Sheol h7585) |
YHWH, You have brought up my soul from Sheol, You have kept me alive, From going down [to] the pit. (Sheol h7585)
| יהוה העלית מן שאול נפשי חייתני מיורדי בור׃ (Sheol h7585) |
O YHWH, do not let me be ashamed, For I have called You, let the wicked be ashamed, Let them become silent to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| יהוה אל אבושה כי קראתיך יבשו רשעים ידמו לשאול׃ (Sheol h7585) |
They have set themselves as sheep for Sheol, Death afflicts them, And the upright rule over them in the morning, And their form [is] for consumption. Sheol [is] a dwelling for him. (Sheol h7585)
| כצאן לשאול שתו מות ירעם וירדו בם ישרים לבקר וצירם לבלות שאול מזבל לו׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Only, God ransoms my soul from the hand of Sheol, For He receives me. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
| אך אלהים יפדה נפשי מיד שאול כי יקחני סלה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Desolations [are] on them, They go down [to] Sheol—alive, For wickedness [is] in their dwelling, in their midst. (Sheol h7585)
| ישימות עלימו ירדו שאול חיים כי רעות במגורם בקרבם׃ (Sheol h7585) |
For Your kindness [is] great toward me, And You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| כי חסדך גדול עלי והצלת נפשי משאול תחתיה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
For my soul has been full of evils, And my life has come to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| כי שבעה ברעות נפשי וחיי לשאול הגיעו׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Who [is] the man that lives, and does not see death? He delivers his soul from the hand of Sheol. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
| מי גבר יחיה ולא יראה מות ימלט נפשו מיד שאול סלה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Cords of death have surrounded me, And straits of Sheol have found me, I find distress and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
| אפפוני חבלי מות ומצרי שאול מצאוני צרה ויגון אמצא׃ (Sheol h7585) |
If I ascend the heavens—You [are] there, And spread out a bed in Sheol, behold, You! (Sheol h7585)
| אם אסק שמים שם אתה ואציעה שאול הנך׃ (Sheol h7585) |
As one tilling and ripping up in the land, Have our bones been scattered at the command of Saul. (Sheol h7585)
| כמו פלח ובקע בארץ נפזרו עצמינו לפי שאול׃ (Sheol h7585) |
We swallow them as Sheol—alive, And whole—as those going down [to] the pit, (Sheol h7585)
| נבלעם כשאול חיים ותמימים כיורדי בור׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Her feet are going down to death, Her steps take hold of Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| רגליה ירדות מות שאול צעדיה יתמכו׃ (Sheol h7585) |
The ways of Sheol—her house, Going down to inner chambers of death! (Sheol h7585)
| דרכי שאול ביתה ירדות אל חדרי מות׃ (Sheol h7585) |
And he has not known that Rephaim [are] there, Her invited ones in deep places of Sheol! (Sheol h7585)
| ולא ידע כי רפאים שם בעמקי שאול קראיה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Sheol and destruction [are] before YHWH, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
| שאול ואבדון נגד יהוה אף כי לבות בני אדם׃ (Sheol h7585) |
A path of life [is] on high for the wise, To turn aside from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)
| ארח חיים למעלה למשכיל למען סור משאול מטה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
You strike him with a rod, And you deliver his soul from Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| אתה בשבט תכנו ונפשו משאול תציל׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Sheol and destruction are not satisfied, And the eyes of man are not satisfied. (Sheol h7585)
| שאול ואבדה לא תשבענה ועיני האדם לא תשבענה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Sheol, and a restrained womb, Earth—it [is] not satisfied [with] water, And fire—it has not said, “Sufficiency,” (Sheol h7585)
| שאול ועצר רחם ארץ לא שבעה מים ואש לא אמרה הון׃ (Sheol h7585) |
All that your hand finds to do, with your power do, for there is no work, and plan, and knowledge, and wisdom in Sheol to where you are going. (Sheol h7585)
| כל אשר תמצא ידך לעשות בכחך עשה כי אין מעשה וחשבון ודעת וחכמה בשאול אשר אתה הלך שמה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm, For strong as death is love, Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, Its burnings [are] burnings of fire, a flame of YAH! (Sheol h7585)
| שימני כחותם על לבך כחותם על זרועך כי עזה כמות אהבה קשה כשאול קנאה רשפיה רשפי אש שלהבתיה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Therefore Sheol has enlarged herself, And has opened her mouth without limit. And its honor has gone down, and its multitude, And its noise, and its exulting one—into her. (Sheol h7585)
| לכן הרחיבה שאול נפשה ופערה פיה לבלי חק וירד הדרה והמונה ושאונה ועלז בה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
“Ask for a sign from your God YHWH, Make the request deep, or make [it] high upwards.” (Sheol h7585)
| שאל לך אות מעם יהוה אלהיך העמק שאלה או הגבה למעלה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Sheol beneath has been troubled at you, To meet your coming in, It is waking up Rephaim for you, All chief ones of earth, It has raised up from their thrones All kings of nations. (Sheol h7585)
| שאול מתחת רגזה לך לקראת בואך עורר לך רפאים כל עתודי ארץ הקים מכסאותם כל מלכי גוים׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Your excellence has been brought down to Sheol, The noise of your stringed instruments, The worm has been spread out under you, Indeed, the worm is covering you. (Sheol h7585)
| הורד שאול גאונך המית נבליך תחתיך יצע רמה ומכסיך תולעה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Only—you are brought down to Sheol, To the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
| אך אל שאול תורד אל ירכתי בור׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Because you have said: “We have made a covenant with death, And we have made a provision with Sheol, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Does not meet us, Though we have made a lie our refuge, And have been hidden in falsehood.” (Sheol h7585)
| כי אמרתם כרתנו ברית את מות ועם שאול עשינו חזה שיט שוטף כי עבר לא יבואנו כי שמנו כזב מחסנו ובשקר נסתרנו׃ (Sheol h7585) |
And your covenant with death has been annulled, And your provision with Sheol does not stand, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Then you have been to it for a treading-place. (Sheol h7585)
| וכפר בריתכם את מות וחזותכם את שאול לא תקום שוט שוטף כי יעבר והייתם לו למרמס׃ (Sheol h7585) |
“I said in the cutting off of my days, I go to the gates of Sheol, I have numbered the remnant of my years. (Sheol h7585)
| אני אמרתי בדמי ימי אלכה בשערי שאול פקדתי יתר שנותי׃ (Sheol h7585) |
For Sheol does not confess You, Death does not praise You, Those going down to the pit do not hope for Your truth. (Sheol h7585)
| כי לא שאול תודך מות יהללך לא ישברו יורדי בור אל אמתך׃ (Sheol h7585) |
And go joyfully to the king in ointment, And multiply your perfumes, And send your ambassadors far off, And humble yourself to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
| ותשרי למלך בשמן ותרבי רקחיך ותשלחי צריך עד מרחק ותשפילי עד שאול׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Thus said Lord YHWH: I have caused mourning in the day of his going down to Sheol, I have covered the deep over him, and diminish its flowings, And many waters are restrained, And I make Lebanon black for him, And all trees of the field [have been] a covering for him. (Sheol h7585)
| כה אמר אדני יהוה ביום רדתו שאולה האבלתי כסתי עליו את תהום ואמנע נהרותיה ויכלאו מים רבים ואקדר עליו לבנון וכל עצי השדה עליו עלפה׃ (Sheol h7585) |
I have caused nations to shake at the sound of his fall, In My causing him to go down to Sheol, With those going down to the pit, And all trees of Eden are comforted in the lower earth, The choice and good of Lebanon—All drinking waters. (Sheol h7585)
| מקול מפלתו הרעשתי גוים בהורדי אתו שאולה את יורדי בור וינחמו בארץ תחתית כל עצי עדן מבחר וטוב לבנון כל שתי מים׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Those with him have also gone down to Sheol, To the pierced of the sword, And—his arm—they dwelt in his shade in the midst of nations. (Sheol h7585)
| גם הם אתו ירדו שאלה אל חללי חרב וזרעו ישבו בצלו בתוך גוים׃ (Sheol h7585) |
The gods of the mighty speak to him out of the midst of Sheol, With his helpers—they have gone down, They have lain with the uncircumcised, The pierced of the sword. (Sheol h7585)
| ידברו לו אלי גבורים מתוך שאול את עזריו ירדו שכבו הערלים חללי חרב׃ (Sheol h7585) |
And they do not lie with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty [is] in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
| ולא ישכבו את גבורים נפלים מערלים אשר ירדו שאול בכלי מלחמתם ויתנו את חרבותם תחת ראשיהם ותהי עונתם על עצמותם כי חתית גבורים בארץ חיים׃ (Sheol h7585) |
Will I ransom them from the hand of Sheol? Will I redeem them from death? Where [is] your plague, O death? Where your destruction, O Sheol? Comfort is hid from My eyes. (Sheol h7585)
| מיד שאול אפדם ממות אגאלם אהי דבריך מות אהי קטבך שאול נחם יסתר מעיני׃ (Sheol h7585) |
If they dig through into Sheol, From there My hand takes them, And if they go up [to] the heavens, From there I cause them to come down. (Sheol h7585)
| אם יחתרו בשאול משם ידי תקחם ואם יעלו השמים משם אורידם׃ (Sheol h7585) |
And he says: “I called, because of my distress, to YHWH, And He answers me, From the belly of Sheol I have cried, You have heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
| ויאמר קראתי מצרה לי אל יהוה ויענני מבטן שאול שועתי שמעת קולי׃ (Sheol h7585) |
And also, because the wine [is] treacherous, A man is haughty, and does not remain at home, Who has enlarged his soul as Sheol, And is as death that is not satisfied, And gathers to itself all the nations, And assembles to itself all the peoples, (Sheol h7585)
| ואף כי היין בוגד גבר יהיר ולא ינוה אשר הרחיב כשאול נפשו והוא כמות ולא ישבע ויאסף אליו כל הגוים ויקבץ אליו כל העמים׃ (Sheol h7585) |
but I say to you that everyone who is angry at his brother without cause will be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Stupid, will be in danger of the Sanhedrin, and whoever may say, Moron, will be in danger of the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna g1067)
| אבל אני אמר לכם כל אשר יקצף על אחיו חנם מחיב הוא לבית דין ואשר יאמר אל אחיו רקא מחיב הוא לסנהדרין ואשר יאמר אתה הנבל מחיב לאש גיהנם׃ (Geenna g1067) |
But if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast from you, for it is good to you that one of your members may perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
| ואם תכשילך עין ימינך נקר אותה והשלך ממך כי טוב לך אשר יאבד אחד מאבריך מרדת כל גופך אל גיהנם׃ (Geenna g1067) |
And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast from you, for it is good to you that one of your members may perish, and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
| ואם ידך הימנית תכשילך קצץ אותה והשלך ממך כי טוב לך אשר יאבד אחד מאבריך מרדת כל גופך אל גיהנם׃ (Geenna g1067) |
And do not be afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
| ואל תיראי מן ההרגים את הגוף ואת הנפש לא יוכלו להרג אך תיראו את אשר יוכל לאבד גם את הנפש גם את הגוף בגיהנם׃ (Geenna g1067) |
And you, Capernaum, which were exalted to Heaven, will be brought down to Hades, because if the mighty works that were done in you had been done in Sodom, it had remained to this day; (Hadēs g86)
| ואת כפר נחום המרוממה עד השמים עד שאול תורדי כי הגבורות אשר נעשו בתוכך לו בסדום נעשו כי עתה עמדה על תלה עד היום הזה׃ (Hadēs g86) |
And whoever may speak a word against the Son of Man it will be forgiven to him, but whoever may speak against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is coming. (aiōn g165)
| וכל אשר ידבר דבר חרפה על בן האדם יסלח לו והמחרף את רוח הקדש לא יסלח לו לא בעולם הזה ולא בעולם הבא׃ (aiōn g165) |
And that sown toward the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, chokes the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
| והנזרע בין הקצים הוא השמע את הדבר ודאגת העולם הזה ומרמת העשר ימעכו את הדבר ופרי לא יהיה לו׃ (aiōn g165) |
and the enemy who sowed them is the Devil, and the harvest is [the] full end of the age, and the reapers are messengers. (aiōn g165)
| והאיב אשר זרעם הוא השטן והקציר הוא קץ העולם והקצרים הם המלאכים׃ (aiōn g165) |
As, then, the darnel is gathered up, and is burned with fire, so will it be in the full end of this age; (aiōn g165)
| והנה כאשר ילקטו הזונין ונשרפו באש כן יהיה בקץ העולם הזה׃ (aiōn g165) |
so will it be in the full end of the age, the messengers will come forth and separate the evil out of the midst of the righteous, (aiōn g165)
| כן יהיה בקץ העולם יצאו המלאכים והבדילו את הרשעים מתוך הצדיקים׃ (aiōn g165) |
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Assembly, and [the] gates of Hades will not prevail against it; (Hadēs g86)
| ואף אני אמר אליך כי אתה פטרוס ועל הסלע הזה אבנה את קהלתי ושערי שאול לא יגברו עליה׃ (Hadēs g86) |
And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut them off and cast [them] from you; it is good for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the continuous fire. (aiōnios g166)
| ואם תכשילך ידך או רגלך קצץ אותה והשלך ממך טוב לך לבוא לחיים פסח או קטע מהיות לך שתי ידים או שתי רגלים ותשלך אל אש עולם׃ (aiōnios g166) |
And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast from you; it is good for you to enter into life one-eyed, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna g1067)
| ואם עינך תכשליך נקר אותה והשלך ממך טוב לך לבוא לחיים בעין אחת מהיות לך שתי עינים ותשלך אל אש גיהנם׃ (Geenna g1067) |
And behold, one having come near, said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing will I do that I may have continuous life?” (aiōnios g166)
| והנה איש נגש אליו ויאמר רבי הטוב אי זה הטוב אשר אעשנו לקנות חיי עולמים׃ (aiōnios g166) |
and everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for My Name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
| וכל איש אשר עזב את בתיו ואת אחיו ואת אחיותיו ואת אביו ואת אמו ואת אשתו ואת בניו ואת שדותיו למען שמי הוא יקח מאה שערים וחיי עולמים יירש׃ (aiōnios g166) |
and having seen a certain fig tree on the way, He came to it, and found nothing in it except leaves only, and He says to it, “No more fruit may be from you—throughout the age”; and instantly the fig tree withered. (aiōn g165)
| וירא תאנה אחת על הדרך ויקרב אליה ולא מצא בה מאומה מלבד העלים ויאמר אליה מעתה לא יהיה ממך פרי עד עולם ותיבש התאנה פתאם׃ (aiōn g165) |
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you go around the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte, and whenever it may happen—you make him a son of Gehenna twofold more than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
| אוי לכם הסופרים והפרושים החנפים כי סובבים אתם בים וביבשה למען גיר גר אחד וכי יתגיר תעשו אותו לבן גיהנם כפלים יותר מכם׃ (Geenna g1067) |
Serpents! Brood of vipers! How may you escape from the judgment of Gehenna? (Geenna g1067)

And when He is sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came near to Him by Himself, saying, “Tell us, when will these be? And what [is] the sign of Your coming, and of the full end of the age?” (aiōn g165)
| וישב על הר הזיתים ויגשו אליו התלמידים לבדם ויאמרו אמר נא לנו מתי תהיה זאת ומה הוא אות בואך ואות קץ העולם׃ (aiōn g165) |
Then will He say also to those on the left hand, Go from Me, the cursed, into the continuous fire that has been prepared for the Devil and his messengers; (aiōnios g166)
| ואז יאמר גם אל הנצבים לשמאלו לכו מעלי אתם הארורים אל אש עולם המוכנה לשטן ולמלאכיו׃ (aiōnios g166) |
And these will go away into continuous punishment, but the righteous into continuous life.” (aiōnios g166)
| וילכו אלה למעצבת עולם והצדיקים לחיי עולם׃ (aiōnios g166) |
teaching them to observe all, whatever I commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days—until the full end of the age.” (aiōn g165)
| ולמדתם אתם לשמר את כל אשר צויתי אתכם והנה אנכי אתכם כל הימים עד קץ העולם אמן׃ (aiōn g165) |
but whoever may slander in regard to the Holy Spirit has no forgiveness—throughout the age, but is in danger of continuous judgment; (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
| אך המגדף את רוח הקדש אין לו סליחה לעולם כי יאשם בעונו לנצח׃ (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166) |
and the anxieties of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, and the desires concerning the other things, entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)

that everyone who is believing in Him may not perish, but may have continuous life, (aiōnios g166)

for God so loved the world that He gave the only begotten Son, that everyone who is believing in Him may not perish, but may have continuous life. (aiōnios g166)

he who is believing in the Son has continuous life; and he who is not believing the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” (aiōnios g166)

You search the Writings, because you think in them to have continuous life, and these are they that are testifying concerning Me; (aiōnios g166)

and everyone who is living and believing in Me will not die—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)

he who is cherishing his life will lose it, and he who is hating his life in this world will keep it to continuous life; (aiōnios g166)

the multitude answered Him, “We heard that the Christ remains out of the Law—throughout the age; and how do You say that it is required that the Son of Man be lifted up? Who is this—the Son of Man?” (aiōn g165)

Peter says to Him, “You may not wash my feet—throughout the age.” Jesus answered him, “If I may not wash you, you have no part with Me”; (aiōn g165)

according as You gave to Him authority over all flesh, that—all that You have given to Him—He may give to them continuous life; (aiōnios g166)

Because You will not leave my soul to Hades, Nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption; (Hadēs g86)

whom Heaven required, indeed, to receive until times of a restitution of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age. (aiōn g165)

And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the LORD, and believed—as many as were appointed to continuous life; (aiōnios g166)

for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world, by the things made being understood, are plainly seen, both His eternal power and Godhead—to their being inexcusable; (aïdios g126)

who changed the truth of God into the lie, and honored and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for all ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

which no one of the rulers of this age knew, for if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory; (aiōn g165)

Let no one deceive himself; if anyone seems to be wise among you in this age—let him become a fool, that he may become wise, (aiōn g165)

for this reason, if food causes my brother to stumble, I may not eat flesh—throughout the age—that I may not cause my brother to stumble. (aiōn g165)

And all these things happened to those persons as types, and they were written for our admonition, to whom the end of the ages came, (aiōn g165)

For we have known that if the tent of our earthly house may be thrown down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands—perpetual—in the heavens, (aiōnios g166)

according as it has been written: “He dispersed abroad, He gave to the poor, His righteousness remains throughout the age,” (aiōn g165)

the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ—who is blessed for all ages—has known that I do not lie! (aiōn g165)
| האלהים אבי ישוע המשיח אדנינו המברך לעולמי עולמים הוא ידע כי לא אשקר׃ (aiōn g165) |
who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, (aiōn g165)

to whom [is] the glory through the ages of the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh will reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit will reap continuous life; (aiōnios g166)

far above all principality, and authority, and might, and lordship, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in the coming one; (aiōn g165)

in which you once walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
| אשר התהלכתם בהם לפי דור העולם הזה כרצון שר ממשלת האויר והוא הרוח הפעל כעת בבני המרי׃ (aiōn g165) |
that He might show, in the ages that are coming, the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus, (aiōn g165)

and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ, (aiōn g165)

according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
| על פי עצת עולמים אשר יעץ במשיח ישוע אדנינו׃ (aiōn g165) |
to Him [is] the glory in the Assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

because our wrestling is not with flesh and blood, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual [forces] of evil in the heavenly [places]; (aiōn g165)

the secret that has been hid from the ages and from the generations, but now was revealed to His holy ones, (aiōn g165)

who will suffer justice—continuous destruction—from the face of the LORD, and from the glory of His strength, (aiōnios g166)
| אשר ישאו משפט אבדן עולם מאת פני האדון ומהדר גאונו׃ (aiōnios g166) |
and may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who loved us, and gave continuous comfort, and good hope in grace, (aiōnios g166)
| והוא אדנינו ישוע המשיח ואלהינו אבינו אשר אהב אתנו ויתן לנו בחסדו נחמת עולם ותקוה טובה׃ (aiōnios g166) |
but because of this I found kindness, that Jesus Christ might first show forth all long-suffering in me, for a pattern of those about to believe on Him to continuous life. (aiōnios g166)

And to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honor and glory through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

having immortality alone, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one of men saw, nor is able to see, to whom [is] honor and perpetual might! Amen. (aiōnios g166)

Charge those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who is giving to us all things richly for enjoyment— (aiōn g165)

who saved us, and called with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, that was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the times of the ages, (aiōnios g166)

for Demas forsook me, having loved the present age, and went on to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia; (aiōn g165)

and the LORD will free me from every evil work, and will save [me]—to His heavenly kingdom; to whom [is] the glory through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

teaching us, that denying the impiety and the worldly desires, we may live soberly, and righteously, and piously in the present age, (aiōn g165)

that having been declared righteous by His grace, we may become heirs according to the hope of continuous life. (aiōnios g166)

for perhaps because of this he departed for an hour, that you may have him continuously, (aiōnios g166)

in these last days speaks to us in [His] Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the ages; (aiōn g165)

but to the Son: “Your throne, O God, [is] throughout the age of the age; The scepter of righteousness [is the] scepter of Your kingdom; (aiōn g165)

just as He also says in another [place], “You [are] a priest throughout the age, according to the order of Melchizedek”; (aiōn g165)

and having been made perfect, He became the cause of continuous salvation to all those obeying Him, (aiōnios g166)

of the teaching of immersions, also of laying on of hands, also of [the] resurrection of the dead, and of continuous judgment, (aiōnios g166)

and tasted the good saying of God, also the powers of the coming age, (aiōn g165)
| וטעמו את דבר אלהים הטוב וכחות העולם הבא וימעלו מעל׃ (aiōn g165) |
to where a forerunner entered for us—Jesus, having become Chief Priest throughout the age after the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)

for He testifies, “You [are] a priest—throughout the age, according to the order of Melchizedek”; (aiōn g165)

(for those indeed apart from oath have become priests, and He [became priest] with an oath through Him who is saying to Him, “The LORD swore, and will not regret, You [are] a priest throughout the age, according to the order of Melchizedek”), (aiōn g165)
| כי המה נתכהנו בלי שבועה וזה בשבועה על ידי האמר לו נשבע יהוה ולא ינחם אתה כהן לעולם על דברתי מלכי צדק׃ (aiōn g165) |
and He, because of His remaining throughout the age, has the inviolable priesthood, (aiōn g165)

for the Law appoints men [as] chief priests, having weakness, but the word of the oath that [is] after the Law [appoints] the Son having been perfected throughout the age. (aiōn g165)
| כי התורה העמידה לכהנים גדולים בני אדם חלשים אבל דבר השבועה הבאה אחרי התורה העמיד את הבן המשלם לעולם׃ (aiōn g165) |
neither through blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, entered in once into the holy places, having obtained continuous redemption; (aiōnios g166)
| גם לא בא בדם שעירים ועגלים אלא בדם נפשו בא בפעם אחת אל הקדש פנימה וימצא גאלת עולם׃ (aiōnios g166) |
how much more will the blood of the Christ (who through the perpetual Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God) purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (aiōnios g166)
| אף כי דם המשיח אשר הקריב את עצמו לאלהים ברוח נצחי ובלי מום יטהר לבבכם ממעשי מות לעבד את אלהים חיים׃ (aiōnios g166) |
And because of this, He is mediator of a new covenant, that [His] death having come for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those called may receive the promise of the continuous inheritance, (aiōnios g166)
| ובעבור זאת הוא גם סרסר לברית חדשה למען אשר יירשו המקראים את הבטחת נחלת עולם אחרי אשר מת לפדות מן הפשעים אשר נעשו תחת הברית הראשונה׃ (aiōnios g166) |
otherwise it was necessary for Him to suffer many times from the foundation of the world, but now He has been revealed once, at the full end of the ages, for [the] annulling of sin through His sacrifice; (aiōn g165)
| כי אם כן הוא הלא היה לו לענות פעמים רבות מראשית העולם ועתה בקץ העתים נגלה בפעם אחת כדי לבטל את החטא בזבח נפשו׃ (aiōn g165) |
By faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a saying of God, in regard to the things seen having not come out of things appearing. (aiōn g165)

Jesus Christ—the same yesterday and today and for all ages. (aiōn g165)

And the God of peace, who brought up the Great Shepherd of the sheep out of the dead—by the blood of a perpetual covenant—our Lord Jesus, (aiōnios g166)
| ואלהי השלום אשר בדם ברית עולם העלה מן המתים את רעה הצאן הגדול את ישוע אדנינו׃ (aiōnios g166) |
make you perfect in every good work to do His will, doing in you that which is well-pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom [is] the glory through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

And the tongue [is] a fire, the world of the unrighteousness, so the tongue is set in our members, which is spotting our whole body, and is setting on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)

being begotten again, not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through a word of God—living and remaining—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
| כנולדים מחדש לא מזרע נשחת כי אם מזרע לא ישחת במאמר אלהים החי והקים לעולם׃ (aiōn g165) |
but the saying of the LORD remains—throughout the age; and this is the saying of good news that was proclaimed to you. (aiōn g165)
| ודבר יהוה יקום לעולם וזה הוא הדבר אשר בשר לכם׃ (aiōn g165) |
if anyone speaks, [speak] as oracles of God; if anyone ministers, [minister] as of the strength which God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the power through the ages of the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

And the God of all grace, who called you to His perpetual glory in Christ Jesus, having suffered a little, Himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you]; (aiōnios g166)

in this way the entrance into the continuous kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplemented to you. (aiōnios g166)

and increase in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; to Him [is] the glory both now, and to the day of the age! Amen. (aiōn g165)

and the Life appeared, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the continuous Life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us— (aiōnios g166)

and the world is passing away, and the desire of it, but he who is doing the will of God, he remains—throughout the age. (aiōn g165)
| והחלד עבור יעבר עם תאותיו והעשה רצון אלהים יעמד לעד׃ (aiōn g165) |
and this is the promise that He promised us—the continuous life. (aiōnios g166)
| וההבטחה אשר הבטיחנו היא חיי עולמים׃ (aiōnios g166) |
Everyone who is hating his brother is a manslayer, and you have known that no manslayer has continuous life remaining in him; (aiōnios g166)

and this is the testimony, that God gave continuous life to us, and this life is in His Son; (aiōnios g166)
| וזאת היא העדות כי חיי עולמים נתן לנו האלהים והחיים האלה בבנו המה׃ (aiōnios g166) |
I wrote these things to you who are believing in the Name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have continuous life, and that you may believe in the Name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
| זאת כתבתי אליכם המאמינים בשם בן האלהים למען תדעון שיש לכם חיי עולם ולמען תאמינו בשם בן האלהים׃ (aiōnios g166) |
but we have known that the Son of God has come, and has given us a mind that we may know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ; this One is the true God and the continuous Life! (aiōnios g166)
| וידענו כי בא בן אלהים ויתן לנו בינה לדעת את האמתי ובאמתי אנחנו בבנו ישוע המשיח זה הוא האל האמתי וחיי העולם׃ (aiōnios g166) |
because of the truth that is remaining in us, and will be with us throughout the age, (aiōn g165)

messengers also, those who did not keep their own principality, but left their proper dwelling, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness until [the] judgment of [the] great day, (aïdios g126)

as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, in like manner to these [messengers], having given themselves to whoredom, and having gone after other flesh, have been set before [as] an example, undergoing the justice of continuous fire. (aiōnios g166)

wild waves of a sea, foaming up their own shameful [deeds]; stars going astray, for whom the gloom of the darkness throughout the age has been kept. (aiōn g165)

keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [resulting] in continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
| ושמרתם את נפשתיכם באהבת אלהים וחכיתם לרחמי אדנינו ישוע המשיח לחיי העולם׃ (aiōnios g166) |
to the only wise God our Savior, [is] glory and greatness, power and authority, both now and forever! Amen. (aiōn g165)

[He] has also made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him—the glory and the power through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)

and He who is living, and I became dead, and behold, I am living through the ages of the ages. Amen! And I have the keys of Hades and of death. (aiōn g165, Hadēs g86)

and when the living creatures give glory, and honor, and thanksgiving, to the [One] sitting on the throne, the [One] living through the ages of the ages, (aiōn g165)

the twenty-four elders will fall down before the [One] sitting on the throne, and worship the [One] living through the ages of the ages, and they will cast their garlands before the throne, saying, (aiōn g165)

And every creature that is in Heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and the things that are on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who is sitting on the throne and to the Lamb—the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the might—through the ages of the ages!” (aiōn g165)

And I saw, and behold, a pale horse, and he who is sitting on him—his name is Death, and Hades follows with him, and there was given to them authority to kill over the fourth part of the earth with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth. (Hadēs g86)

And the fifth messenger sounded the trumpet, and I saw a star having fallen to the earth out of Heaven, and there was given to him the key of the pit of the abyss, (Abyssos g12)
| והמלאך החמישי תקע בשופר וארא כוכב נפל מן השמים לארץ וינתן לו מפתח באר התהום׃ (Abyssos g12) |
and [he] opened the pit of the abyss, and there came up a smoke out of the pit as smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened from the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos g12)
| ויפתח את באר התהום ויעל עשן מן הבאר כעשן כבשן גדול ויחשך השמש והרקיע מקיטר הבאר׃ (Abyssos g12) |
and they have over them a king—the messenger of the abyss—a name [is] to him in Hebrew, Abaddon, and in the Greek he has a name, Apollyon. (Abyssos g12)
| ומלאך התהום הוא מלך עליהם ושמו אבדון בעברית והוא אפוליון בלשון יון׃ (Abyssos g12) |
and swore by Him who lives through the ages of the ages, who created the sky and the things in it, and the land and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it—that time will not be yet, (aiōn g165)
| וישבע בחי עולמי העולמים אשר ברא את השמים וכל אשר בהם והארץ וכל אשר בה והים וכל אשר בו כי לא יהיה עוד זמן׃ (aiōn g165) |
And when they may finish their testimony, the beast that is coming up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them, (Abyssos g12)
| ואחרי השלימם עדותם החיה העלה מן התהום תעשה עמהם מלחמה ותוכל להם והרגתם׃ (Abyssos g12) |
And the seventh messenger sounded the trumpet, and there came great voices in Heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of the world became [those] of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign through the ages of the ages!” (aiōn g165)
| והמלאך השביעי תקע בשופר ויהי קלות גדולים בשמים ויאמרו הנה ממלכת העולם היתה לאדיניו ולמשיחו והוא ימלך לעולמי עולמים׃ (aiōn g165) |
And I saw another messenger flying in midair, having continuous good news to proclaim to those dwelling on the earth, and to every nation, and tribe, and tongue, and people, (aiōnios g166)
| וארא מלאך אחר מעופף במרום הרקיע אשר היה לו בשורת עולם לבשר את ישבי הארץ ואת כל גוי ונשפחה ולשון ועם׃ (aiōnios g166) |
and the smoke of their torment goes up through ages of ages; and they have no rest day and night, who are worshiping the beast and his image, also if any receive the mark of his name. (aiōn g165)
| ועשן ענוים יעלה לעולמי עד ולא ימצאו מנוחה יומם ולילה המשתחוים לחיה ולצלמה ואשר ישא את תו שמה׃ (aiōn g165) |
and one of the four living creatures gave to the seven messengers seven golden bowls, full of the wrath of God, who is living through the ages of the ages; (aiōn g165)

The beast that you saw: it was, and it is not, and it is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go away to destruction, and those dwelling on the earth will wonder, whose names have not been written on the Scroll of Life from the foundation of the world, beholding the beast that was, and is not, although it is. and a second time they said, “Hallelujah”; and her smoke comes up through the ages of the ages! (aiōn g165)

and the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who did the signs before him, in which he led astray those who received the mark of the beast, and those who worshiped his image; the two were cast living into the lake of the fire that is burning with brimstone; (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
