Nehemiah 7
1 And it comes to pass, when the wall has been built, that I set up the doors, and the gatekeepers are appointed, and the singers, and the Levites,
ನಾನು ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ, ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ತರುವಾಯ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಕಾಯುವವರನ್ನು, ಹಾಡುಗಾರರನ್ನು, ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದೆನು.
2 and I charge my brother Hanani, and Hananiah head of the palace, concerning Jerusalem—for he [is] as a man of truth, and fearing God above many—
ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಹನಾನೀ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಹನನ್ಯ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇವನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅನೇಕರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದನು.
3 and I say to them, “Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the heat of the sun, and while they are standing by let them shut the doors, and fasten, and appoint guards of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each at his watch, and each in front of his house.”
ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಬಿಸಿಲು ಏರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಬಾರದು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವಾಗ, ಕದಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಅಗುಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿರಿ. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಕಾವಲಾಗಿರಲು ನೇಮಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು.
4 And the city [is] broad on both sides, and great, and the people [are] few in its midst, and there are no houses built;
ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿಯೂ, ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿಯೂ ಇತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರು ಕೊಂಚವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
5 and my God puts it to my heart, and I gather the nobles, and the prefects, and the people, for the genealogy, and I find a scroll of the genealogy of those coming up at the beginning, and I find written in it:
ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯಿಂದ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರನ್ನೂ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಸ್ಥರನ್ನೂ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಸಭೆಯಾಗಿಸೇರಲು, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು. ಆಗ ನಾನು ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದವರ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ:
6 These [are] sons of the province, those coming up of the captives of the expulsion that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed—and they return to Jerusalem and to Judah, each to his city—

7 who are coming in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

8 sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two;

9 sons of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy-two;
ಶೆಫಟ್ಯನ ವಂಶಜರು 372 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
10 sons of Arah, six hundred fifty-two;
ಆರಹನ ವಂಶಜರು 652 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
11 sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred [and] eighteen;
ಯೇಷೂವ, ಯೋವಾಬ್ ಎಂಬವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಹತ್ ಮೋವಾಬನ ವಂಶಜರು 2,818 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
12 sons of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;
ಏಲಾಮನ ವಂಶಜರು 1,254 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
13 sons of Zattu, eight hundred forty-five;
ಜತ್ತೂವಿನ ವಂಶಜರು 845 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
14 sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;
ಜಕ್ಕೈನ ವಂಶಜರು 760 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
15 sons of Binnui, six hundred forty-eight;
ಬಿನ್ನೂಯನ ವಂಶಜರು 648 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
16 sons of Bebai, six hundred twenty-eight;
ಬೇಬೈನ ವಂಶಜರು 628 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
17 sons of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty-two;
ಅಜ್ಗಾದನ ವಂಶಜರು 2,322 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
18 sons of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-seven;
ಅದೋನೀಕಾಮಿನ ವಂಶಜರು 667 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
19 sons of Bigvai, two thousand sixty-seven;
ಬಿಗ್ವೈ ವಂಶಜರು 2,067 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
20 sons of Adin, six hundred fifty-five;
ಅದೀನನ ವಂಶಜರು 655 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
21 sons of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety-eight;
ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಟೇರ್ ವಂಶಜರು 98 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
22 sons of Hashum, three hundred twenty-eight;
ಹಾಷುಮನ ವಂಶಜರು 328 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
23 sons of Bezai, three hundred twenty-four;
ಬೇಚೈಯ ವಂಶಜರು 324 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
24 sons of Hariph, one hundred [and] twelve;
ಹಾರೀಫನ ವಂಶಜರು 112 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
25 sons of Gibeon, ninety-five;
ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನನ ವಂಶಜರು 95 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
26 men of Beth-Lehem and Netophah, one hundred eighty-eight;
ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನವರೂ ನೆಟೋಫದವರೂ 188 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
27 men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty-eight;
ಅನಾತೋತ್ ಊರಿನವರು 128 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
28 men of Beth-Azmaveth, forty-two;
ಬೇತ್ ಅಜ್ಮಾವೆತಿನವರು 42 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
29 men of Kirjath-Jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty-three;
ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ ಯಾರೀಮ್, ಕೆಫೀರಾ, ಬೇರೋತ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು 743 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
30 men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty-one;
ರಾಮಾ ಗೆಬ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು 621 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
31 men of Michmas, one hundred and twenty-two;
ಮಿಕ್ಮಾಷದ ಜನರು 122 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
32 men of Bethel and Ai, one hundred twenty-three;
ಬೇತೇಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು 123 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
33 men of the other Nebo, fifty-two;
ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ನೆಬೋ ಊರಿನವರು 52 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
34 sons of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four;
ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ಏಲಾಮನ ವಂಶಜರು 1,254 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
35 sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;
ಹಾರಿಮನ ವಂಶಜರು 320 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
36 sons of Jericho, three hundred forty-five;
ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ವಂಶಜರು 345 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
37 sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-one;
ಲೋದ್, ಹಾದೀದ್, ಓನೋ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ಜನರು 721 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
38 sons of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
ಸೆನಾಹನ ವಂಶಜರು 3,930 ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
39 The priests: sons of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three;
ಯಾಜಕರು: ಯೇಷೂವನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಾದ ಯೆದಾಯನ ವಂಶಜರು 973.
40 sons of Immer, one thousand fifty-two;
ಇಮ್ಮೇರನ ವಂಶಜರು 1,052.
41 sons of Pashur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven;
ಪಷ್ಹೂರನ ವಂಶಜರು 1,247.
42 sons of Harim, one thousand and seventeen.

58 sons of Jaala, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,

59 sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, sons of Amon.
ಶೆಫಟ್ಯ, ಹಟ್ಟೀಲ್, ಪೋಕೆರೆತ್ ಹಚ್ಚೆಬಾಯೀಮ್, ಆಮೋನ್ ಮುಂತಾದವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು.
60 All the Nethinim and the sons of the servants of Solomon [are] three hundred ninety-two.
ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸೇವಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಸೇವಕರ ವಂಶಜರು ಒಟ್ಟು 392 ಮಂದಿ.
61 And these [are] those coming up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer—and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they [are] of Israel—
ತೇಲ್ಮೆಲಹ, ತೇಲ್ಹರ್ಷ, ಕೆರೂಬ್, ಅದ್ದಾನ್, ಇಮ್ಮೇರ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಟುಬಂದವರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ, ತಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ರುಜುಪಡಿಸಲಾಗದೇ ಇದ್ದವರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ:
62 sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred forty-two.
ದೆಲಾಯ, ಟೋಬೀಯ, ನೆಕೋದ ಇವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಒಟ್ಟು 642 ಮಂದಿ.
63 And of the priests: sons of Habaiah, sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai (who has taken a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and is called by their name).
ಯಾಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ, ಹಬಯ್ಯ, ಹಕ್ಕೋಚ್, ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಇವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು. ಈ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಎಂಬವನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯನಾದ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈಯನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಕಾರಣ ಅವನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡನು.
64 These have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and it has not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,
ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯ ದಾಖಲಾತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರು, ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಸಿಕ್ಕದೆ ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅಶುದ್ಧರೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಯಾಜಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಿಂದ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕಾರವಾದರು.
65 and the Tirshatha says to them that they do not eat of the most holy things until the standing up of the priest with [the] Lights and Perfections.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಊರೀಮ್, ತುಮ್ಮೀಮ್ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ದೈವನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಯಾಜಕನು ದೊರೆಯುವ ತನಕ, ಇವರು ಮಹಾಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದೆಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲನು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದನು.
66 All the assembly together [is] forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty,
ಸಭೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದ ಒಟ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 42,360.
67 apart from their servants and their handmaids—these [are] seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven; and of them [are] male and female singers, two hundred forty-five.
ಅವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಅವರ ದಾಸರೂ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ 7,337 ಮಂದಿಯೂ, ಅವರ ಹಾಡುಗಾರರೂ, ಹಾಡುಗಾರ್ತಿಯರೂ 245 ಮಂದಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
68 Their horses [are] seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred [and] forty-five;
ಅವರ 736 ಕುದುರೆಗಳು, ಅವರ 245 ಹೇಸರಕತ್ತೆಗಳು.
69 camels, four hundred thirty-five; donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
435 ಒಂಟೆಗಳು, 6,720 ಕತ್ತೆಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು.
70 And from the extremity of the heads of the fathers they have given to the work; the Tirshatha has given to the treasure, one thousand drams of gold, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty priests’ coats.
ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಕೆಲವು ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲನು ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಕ್ಕೆ 8.4 ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, 50 ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, 530 ಯಾಜಕರ ಅಂಗಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
71 And of the heads of the fathers they have given to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಪಿತೃಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಕೆಲಸದ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಕ್ಕೆ 170 ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, 1.2 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
72 And that which the rest of the people have given [is] twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty-seven priests’ coats.
ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಜನರು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ: 170 ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ 1.1 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನೂ, 67 ಯಾಜಕರ ಅಂಗಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
73 And they dwell—the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and [some] of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel—in their cities, and the seventh month comes, and the sons of Israel [are] in their cities.
ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರೂ, ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರೂ, ಹಾಡುಗಾರರೂ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರೂ, ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸೇವಕರೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಏಳನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳು ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
