Nehemiah 3
1 And Eliashib the high priest rises, and his brothers the priests, and they build the Sheep Gate; they have sanctified it, and set up its doors, even to the Tower of Meah they have sanctified it, to the Tower of Hananeel;
Och Eljasib, öfverste Presten, stod upp med sina bröder Presterna, och byggde fåraporten; honom helgade de, och satte in hans dörrar; men de helgade honom allt intill det tornet Mea, nämliga allt intill det tornet Hananeel.
2 and by his hand men of Jericho have built; and by their hand Zaccur son of Imri has built;
Bredevid dem byggde de män af Jericho; och näst dem byggde Saccur, Imri son.
3 and sons of Hassenaah have built the Fish Gate; they have walled it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
Men fiskaporten byggde Senaa barn; honom täckte de, och satte in hans dörrar, lås och bommar.
4 And by their hand Merimoth son of Urijah, son of Koz, has strengthened; and by his hand Meshullam son of Berechiah, son of Meshezabeel, has strengthened; and by his hand Zadok son of Baana has strengthened;
Näst dem byggde Meremoth, Uria son, Hakkoz sons; näst dem byggde Mesullam, Berechia son, Mesesabeels sons; näst dem byggde Zadok, Baana son.
5 and by his hand the Tekoites have strengthened, and their majestic ones have not brought in their neck to the service of their Lord.
Näst dem byggde de af Thekoa; men deras väldige böjde icke sin hals till sins herras tjenst.
6 And Jehoiada son of Paseah and Meshullam son of Besodeiah have strengthened the Old Gate; they have walled it, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.
Den gamla porten byggde Jojada, Paseahs son, och Mesullam, Besodeja son; honom täckte de, och satte in hans dörrar, och lås och bommar.
7 And by their hand Melatiah the Gibeonite has strengthened, and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, [belonging] to the throne of the governor beyond the River.
Näst dem byggde Melatia af Gibeon, och Jadon af Merono, män af Gibeon och Mizpa, på landshöfdingans säte, på denna sidon älfven.
8 By his hand Uzziel son of Harhaiah of the refiners has strengthened; and by his hand Hananiah son of [one of] the compounders has strengthened; and they leave Jerusalem to the broad wall.
Näst efter honom byggde Ussiel, Harhaja son, guldsmeden; näst honom byggde Hanania, apothekarens son, och de förstärkte Jerusalem allt intill de breda murar.
9 And by their hand Rephaiah son of Hur, head of the half of the district of Jerusalem, has strengthened.
Näst honom byggde Rephaja, Hurs son, öfversten öfver en half fjerding af Jerusalem.
10 And by their hand Jedaiah son of Harumaph has strengthened, and opposite his own house; and by his hand Hattush son of Hashabniah has strengthened.
Näst honom byggde Jedaja, Harumaphs son, tvärtöfver sitt hus; näst honom byggde Hattus, Hasabenja son.
11 A second measure Malchijah son of Harim has strengthened, and Hashub son of Pahath-Moab, even the Tower of the Furnaces.
Men Malchija, Harims son, och Hasub, Pahath Moabs son, byggde ett annat stycke, och tornet med ugnarna.
12 And by his hand Shallum son of Halohesh, head of the half of the district of Jerusalem, has strengthened, he and his daughters.
Näst honom byggde Sallum, Halohes son, öfversten för en half fjerding i Jerusalem, han och hans döttrar.
13 Hanun has strengthened the Valley Gate, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they have built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and one thousand cubits in the wall to the Refuse Gate.
Dalporten byggde Hanun och borgarena af Sanoah; de byggde honom, och satte in hans dörrar, och lås och bommar, och tusende alnar på murenom allt intill dyngoporten.
14 And Malchijah son of Rechab, head of the district of Beth-Haccerem, has strengthened the Refuse Gate; he builds it, and sets up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
Men dyngoporten byggde Malchija, Rechabs son, öfversten i vingårdsmännernas fjerding; han byggde honom, och satte in hans dörrar, lås och bommar.
15 And Shallum son of Col-Hozeh, head of the district of Mizpah, has strengthened the Fountain Gate: he builds it, and covers it, and sets up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Siloah, to the garden of the king, and to the steps that are going down from the City of David.
Brunnporten byggde Sallum, CholHose son, en öfverste för en fjerding i Mizpa; han byggde honom, och täckten, och satte in hans dörrar, lås och bommar; dertill ock murarna vid dammen Selah, vid Konungsörtagården, allt intill trapporna, som gå nederåt ifrå Davids stad.
16 After him Nehemiah son of Azbuk, head of the half of the district of Beth-Zur, has strengthened to opposite the graves of David, and to the pool that is made, and to the house of the mighty ones.
Näst honom byggde Nehemia, Asbuks son, öfversten för den halfva fjerdingen i BethZur, allt intill gentemot Davids grafvar, och allt intill den dammen Asuja, och allt intill de väldigas hus.
17 After him the Levites have strengthened, [and] Rehum son of Bani; by his hand Hashabiah, head of the half of the district of Keilah, has strengthened for his district.
Efter honom byggde de Leviter, Rehum, Bani son; bredevid honom byggde Hasabia, öfversten för halfva fjerdingen i Kegila, i hans fjerding.
18 After him their brothers have strengthened, [and] Bavvai son of Henadad, head of the half of the district of Keilah.
Efter honom byggde deras bröder Bavai, Henadads son, öfversten för en half fjerding i Kegila.
19 And Ezer son of Jeshua, head of Mizpah, strengthens, by his hand, a second measure, from in front of the ascent of the armory at the angle.
Efter honom byggde Eser, Jesua son, öfversten i Mizpa, ett annat stycke, inåt harneskhushörnet.
20 After him Baruch son of Zabbai has hurried to strengthen a second measure from the angle to the opening of the house of Eliashib the high priest.
Efter honom, uppå berget, byggde Baruch, Sabbi son, ett annat stycke, ifrå hörnet allt intill Eljasibs öfversta Prestens husdörr.
21 After him Meremoth son of Urijah, son of Koz, has strengthened a second measure, from the opening of the house of Eliashib even to the completion of the house of Eliashib.
Efter honom byggde Meremoth, Uria son, Hakkoz sons, ett annat stycke, ifrån Eljasibs husdörr, allt intill ändan af Eljasibs hus.
22 And after him the priests, men of the circuit, have strengthened.
Efter honom byggde Presterna, de män af landsbygdene.
23 After them Benjamin has strengthened, and Hashub, opposite their house; after him Azariah son of Maaseiah, son of Ananiah, has strengthened near his house.
Efter dem byggde BenJamin och Hasub, tvärsöfver deras hus; efter dem byggde Asaria, Maaseja son, Anania sons, jemte sitt hus.
24 After him Binnui son of Henadad has strengthened a second measure, from the house of Azariah to the angle, and to the corner.
Efter honom byggde Binnui, Henadads son, ett annat stycke, ifrån Asaria hus intill båget, och allt intill hörnet;
25 Palal son of Uzai [strengthened] from opposite the angle, and the tower that is going out from the upper house of the king that [is] at the court of the prison; after him Pedaiah son of Parosh [strengthened].
Palal, Usai son, emot båget, och det höga tornet, som synes utaf Konungshuset, vid fångahusens gård; efter honom Pedaja, Paros son.
26 And the Nethinim have been dwelling in Ophel, to opposite the Water Gate at the east, and the tower that goes out.
Men de Nethinim bodde uti Ophel, allt intill vattuporten österut, der tornet ut synes.
27 After him the Tekoites have strengthened a second measure, from opposite the great tower that goes out, and to the wall of Ophel.
Efter dem byggde de af Thekoa ett annat stycke, tvärtemot det stora tornet, som ut synes, allt intill murarna Ophel.
28 From above the Horse Gate the priests have strengthened, each opposite his house.
Men ifrå hästaporten byggde Presterna, hvardera emot sitt hus.
29 After them Zadok son of Immer has strengthened opposite his house; and after him Shemaiah son of Shechaniah, keeper of the East Gate, has strengthened.
Efter dem byggde Zadok, Immers son, emot sitt hus; efter honom byggde Semaja, Sechania son, den dörravaktaren, östantill.
30 After him Hananiah son of Shelemiah has strengthened, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, a second measure; after him Meshullam son of Berechiah has strengthened opposite his chamber.
Efter honom byggde Hanania, Selemia son, och Hanun, Zalaphs son, den sjette, ett annat stycke; efter honom byggde Mesullam, Berechia son, emot sin fatabur.
31 After him Malchijah son of the refiner has strengthened, to the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, opposite the Miphkad Gate, and to the ascent of the corner.
Efter honom byggde Malchija guldsmedssonen, allt intill de Nethinims och krämares hus, emot rådsporten, och intill hörnsalen.
32 And between the ascent of the corner and the Sheep Gate, the refiners and the merchants have strengthened.
Och emellan hörnsalen allt intill fåraporten byggde guldsmederna och krämarena.
