Micah 1
1 A word of YHWH that has been to Micah the Morashite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah, that he has seen concerning Samaria and Jerusalem:
যিহূদার রাজগণ যোথম, আহস এবং হিষ্কিয়ের শাসনকালে সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য মোরেষৎ-নিবাসী মীখার কাছে আসে—তিনি শমরিয়া এবং জেরুশালেমের উদ্দেশে এক দর্শন পান।
2 Hear, O peoples, all of them! Attend, O earth, and its fullness, And Lord YHWH is against you for a witness, The Lord from His holy temple.
শোনো, হে জাতিগণ, তোমরা সকলে, হে পৃথিবী ও যারা সেখানে বাস করে, শোনো, সদাপ্রভু তাঁর পবিত্র মন্দির থেকে, সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে সাক্ষ্য দেন।
3 For behold, YHWH is going out from His place, And He has come down, And has trodden on high places of earth.
দেখো! সদাপ্রভু নিজ বাসস্থান থেকে আসছেন; তিনি নেমে এসে পৃথিবীর সব উচ্চস্থানের উপর দিয়ে গমনাগমন করবেন।
4 The mountains have been melted under Him, And the valleys split themselves, As wax from the presence of fire, As waters cast down by a slope.
যেমন মোম আগুনের সংস্পর্শে গলে যায়, পাহাড়গুলি তাঁর নিচে গলে যায় এবং উপত্যকায় ফাটল ধরে, ঢালু জায়গায় জল গড়িয়ে পড়ে।
5 For the transgression of Jacob [is] all this, And for the sins of the house of Israel. What [is] the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what the high places of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?
এইসবই যাকোবের অপরাধের জন্য এবং ইস্রায়েলের পরিবারের পাপের কারণেই ঘটেছে। যাকোবের অপরাধ কি? কি সেইসব শমরিয়ার নয়? যিহূদার উঁচু স্থান কি? সেইসব কি জেরুশালেমের নয়?
6 “And I have set Samaria for a heap of the field, For plantations of a vineyard, And poured out into a valley her stones, And her foundations I uncover.
“সুতরাং আমি সদাপ্রভু শমরিয়াকে পাথরের স্তূপ, দ্রাক্ষালতা রোপণের ক্ষেত্রে পরিবর্তিত করব। সেখানকার পাথরগুলি উপত্যকায় বইয়ে দেব এবং তার ভিত্তিমূল খোলা রাখব।
7 And all her carved images are beaten down, And all her wages are burned with fire, And all her idols I make a desolation, For from the wage of a harlot she gathered, and to the wage of a harlot they return.”
তার সব প্রতিমাগুলি টুকরো টুকরো করে ভেঙে ফেলা হবে; তার সকল মন্দিরের উপহার আগুনে পোড়ানো হবে; আমি তার সমস্ত প্রতিমাগুলি ধ্বংস করব। কারণ বেশ্যাবৃত্তির মজুরির থেকে সে তার উপহার সঞ্চয় করেছে, বেশ্যাবৃত্তির মজুরির মতোই সেইগুলি ব্যবহার করা হবে।”
8 For this I lament and howl, I go spoiled and naked, I make a lamentation like dragons, And a mourning like daughters of an ostrich.
এই কারণেই আমি কাঁদব আর বিলাপ করব; আমি উলঙ্গ হয়ে খালি পায়ে ঘুরে বেড়াব। আমি শিয়ালের মতো চিৎকার করব এবং প্যাঁচার মতো বিলাপ করব।
9 For mortal [are] her wounds, For it has come to Judah, It has come to a gate of My people—to Jerusalem.
কেননা শমরিয়ার ক্ষত আর ভালো হবে না; তা যিহূদার কাছে এসে গেছে। তা আমার লোকদের পর্যন্ত পৌঁছেছে, এমনকি জেরুশালেম পর্যন্ত।
10 In Gath do not tell—in Acco do not weep, In Beth-Aphrah, roll yourself in dust.
গাতে এই কথা জানিও না, একটুও কান্নাকাটি করো না। বেথ-লি-অফ্রাতে ধুলোয় গড়াগড়ি দাও।
11 Pass over for you, O inhabitant of Shaphir, Naked one of shame. The inhabitant of Zaanan has not gone out, The lamentation of Beth-Ezel takes from you its standing.
হে শাফীরের বাসকারী লোকেরা, তোমরা উলঙ্গ ও লজ্জিত হয়ে চলে যাও। যারা সাননে বাস করে তারা বের হয়ে আসতে পারবে না। বেথ-এৎসল শোক করছে; সে আর তোমাদের পক্ষে দাঁড়াবে না।
12 For the inhabitant of Maroth has stayed for good, For calamity has come down from YHWH to the gate of Jerusalem.
যারা মারোতে বাস করে তারা ব্যাকুল হয়ে, রেহাই পাবার জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে, কারণ সদাপ্রভুর কাছে থেকে বিপদ এসে গেছে, এমনকি জেরুশালেমের দ্বার পর্যন্ত পৌঁছেছে।
13 Bind the chariot to a swift beast, O inhabitant of Lachish, The beginning of sin [is] she to the daughter of Zion, For in you have been found the transgressions of Israel.
তোমরা যারা লাখীশে বসবাস করো, দ্রুতগামী ঘোড়াগুলি তোমরা রথের সঙ্গে বেঁধে দাও। ইস্রায়েলের অন্যায় প্রথমে তোমাদের মধ্যে পাওয়া গিয়েছিল, সেইজন্য সিয়োন-কন্যাকে তোমরাই পাপের পথে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলে।
14 Therefore you give presents to Moresheth-Gath, The houses of Achzib become a lying thing to the kings of Israel.
সুতরাং মোরেষৎ-গাৎকে নিজের বিদায়ের উপহার তুমি নিজেই দেবে। ইস্রায়েলের রাজাদের জন্য অক্ষীব নগর প্রতারক হবে।
15 Yet I bring the possessor to you, O inhabitant of Mareshah, The glory of Israel comes to Adullam.
তোমরা যারা মারেশায় বসবাস করো, আমি তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে এক দখলকারীকে নিয়ে আসব। ইস্রায়েলের গণ্যমান্য লোকেরা অদুল্লমে পালিয়ে যাবে।
16 Make bald and shave, for your delightful sons, Enlarge your baldness as an eagle, For they have removed from you!
তোমাদের সন্তানদের যাদের তোমরা ভালোবাসো তাদের শোকে ন্যাড়া হও; নিজেকে শকুনের মতো ন্যাড়া করো, কেননা তারা তোমাদের কাছ থেকে নির্বাসনে যাবে।
