Micah 7
1 My woe [is] to me, For I have been as gatherings of summer-fruit, As gleanings of harvest, There is no cluster to eat, The first-ripe fruit has my soul desired.
Voi minua, sillä minun käy niinkuin hedelmänkorjuussa, niinkuin viinisadon jälkikorjuussa: ei ole rypälettä syödäkseni, ei varhaisviikunaa, jota minun sieluni himoitsee.
2 The kind have perished out of the land, And upright among men—there are none, All of them lie in wait for blood, They each hunt his brother [with] a net.
Poissa ovat hurskaat maasta, eikä oikeamielistä ole ihmisten seassa. Kaikki he väijyvät verta, pyydystävät verkolla toinen toistansa.
3 On the evil [are] both hands to do [it] well, The prince is asking—also the judge—for repayment, And the great—he is speaking the mischief of his soul, And they wrap it up.
Pahantekoon molemmin käsin! Sitä taidolla tekemään! Päämies vaatii, tuomari maksusta tuomitsee, ja mahtava puhuu julki sielunsa himon; senkaltaista he punovat.
4 Their best one [is] as a brier, The upright one—than a thorn-hedge, The day of your watchmen—Your visitation—has come. Now is their perplexity.
Paras heistä on kuin orjantappura, oikeamielisin pahempi kuin teräväokainen aita. Sinun tähystäjäisi ilmoittama päivä, kosto sinulle, tulee. Silloin he joutuvat sekasortoon.
5 Do not believe in a friend, Do not trust in a leader, From her who is lying in your bosom keep the openings of your mouth.
Älkää uskoko ystävää, älkää luottako uskottuun; vaimolta, joka sylissäsi lepää, varo suusi ovet.
6 For a son is dishonoring a father, A daughter has stood against her mother, A daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, The enemies of each [are] the men of his house.
Sillä poika halveksii isää, tytär nousee äitiänsä vastaan, miniä anoppiansa vastaan; ihmisen vihamiehiä ovat hänen omat perhekuntalaisensa.
7 And I—in YHWH I watch, I wait for the God of my salvation, My God hears me.
Mutta minä panen toivoni Herraan, odotan pelastukseni Jumalaa: minun Jumalani on minua kuuleva.
8 You do not rejoice over me, O my enemy, When I have fallen, I have risen, When I sit in darkness YHWH is a light to me.
Älkää iloitko, minun viholliseni, minusta: jos minä olen langennut, niin minä nousen; jos istun pimeydessä, on Herra minun valkeuteni.
9 I bear the indignation of YHWH, For I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my cause, And has executed my judgment, He brings me forth to the light, I look on His righteousness.
Minä tahdon kantaa Herran vihaa, sillä minä olen tehnyt syntiä häntä vastaan, siihen asti että hän minun asiani toimittaa ja hankkii minulle oikeuden. Hän tuo minut valkeuteen, minä saan nähdä hänen vanhurskautensa.
10 And my enemy sees, And shame covers her, Who says to me, “Where [is] your God YHWH?” My eyes look on her, Now she is for a treading-place, As mire of the out-places.
Minun viholliseni saavat nähdä sen, ja häpeä on peittävä heidät, jotka sanovat minulle: "Missä on Herra, sinun Jumalasi?" Minun silmäni saavat ilokseen katsoa heitä: silloin he joutuvat tallattaviksi kuin katujen loka.
11 The day to build your walls! That day—removed is the limit.
Tulee päivä, jolloin sinun muurisi rakennetaan; sinä päivänä on raja oleva kaukana:
12 That day—even to you it comes in, From Asshur and the cities of the fortress, And from the fortress even to the river, And from sea to sea, and mountain to mountain.
sinä päivänä tullaan sinun tykösi Assurista ja Egyptin kaupungeista, kaikkialta, Egyptistä aina Eufrat-virtaan, merestä mereen, vuoresta vuoreen.
13 And the land has been for a desolation, Because of its inhabitants, Because of the fruit of their doings.
Ja maa tulee autioksi asukkaittensa tähden, heidän töittensä hedelmäin takia.
14 Rule Your people with Your rod, The flock of Your inheritance, Dwelling alone [in] a forest in the midst of Carmel, They enjoy Bashan and Gilead as in days of old.
Kaitse kansaasi sauvallasi, perintölaumaasi, joka erillänsä asuu metsässä, keskellä Karmelia. Käykööt he laitumella Baasanissa ja Gileadissa niinkuin ikiaikoina ennen. -
15 “According to the days of your coming forth out of the land of Egypt, I show it wonderful things.”
"Niinkuin sinun lähtösi päivinä Egyptin maasta minä annan hänen nähdä ihmeitä". -
16 Nations see, and they are ashamed of all their might, They lay a hand on the mouth, their ears are deaf.
Sen näkevät pakanakansat ja saavat häpeän kaikesta väkevyydestänsä. He panevat käden suullensa, heidän korvansa menevät lumpeen.
17 They lick dust as a serpent, as fearful things of earth, They tremble from their enclosures, They are afraid of our God YHWH, Indeed, they are afraid of You.
He nuolevat tomua kuin käärme, kuin maan matelijat. Vavisten he tulevat varustuksistansa, lähestyvät väristen Herraa, meidän Jumalaamme; he pelkäävät sinua.
18 Who [is] a God like You? Taking away iniquity, And passing by the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance, He has not retained His anger forever, Because He delights [in] kindness.
Kuka on Jumala, niinkuin sinä olet, joka annat pahat teot anteeksi ja käyt ohitse perintösi jäännöksen rikosten? Ei hän pidä vihaa iäti, sillä hänellä on halu laupeuteen.
19 He turns back, He pities us, He subdues our iniquities, And You cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Hän armahtaa meitä jälleen, polkee maahan meidän pahat tekomme. Kaikki heidän syntinsä sinä heität meren syvyyteen.
20 You give truth to Jacob, kindness to Abraham, That You have sworn to our fathers, from the days of antiquity!
Sinä osoitat Jaakobille uskollisuutta, Aabrahamille armoa, niinkuin olet vannonut meidän isillemme muinaisista päivistä asti.
