< Matthew 9 >

1 And having gone into the boat, He passed over, and came to His own city,
A Yeshu gubhakwelile muntumbwi, gubhajombweshe litanda gubhaishe kushilambo shabho.
2 and behold, they were bringing to Him a paralytic, laid on a bed, and Jesus having seen their faith, said to the paralytic, “Take courage, child, your sins have been forgiven.”
Kweneko bhandu gubhaapeleshelenje mundu jumo apolweshe, agonile pa shinanda. A Yeshu bhakajibhoneje ngulupai jabhonji, gubhammalanjile mundu apolweshe jula, “Ambwiga! Mwiilume ntima, yambi yenu nneshelelwe.”
3 And behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, “This One speaks evil.”
Bhaajiganya bha Shalia bhananji gubhaganishiyenje mmitima jabhonji kuti, “Bhene bhandubha bhanakwaakupulu a Nnungu!”
4 And Jesus, having known their thoughts, said, “Why think evil in your hearts?
A Yeshu gubhaimanyi ng'aniyo yabhonji, gubhashite, “Pakuti nnaganishiyanga ya nyata mmitima jenunji?
5 For which is easier? To say, Your sins are forgiven; or to say, Rise and walk?
Shei shipepeshe, kubheleketa, ‘Uleshelelwe yambi yako,’ eu kubheleketa, ‘Jinuka ujende?’
6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on the earth to forgive sins—(then He says to the paralytic)—Having risen, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
Ikabheje, mmumanyanje kuti Mwana juka Mundu ashikola ukulungwa pa shilambolyo gwa kwaaleshelelanga bhandu yambi yabhonji.” Penepo gubhammalanjile mundu apolweshe jula, “Jinuka utole shinanda shako ujende kunngwako.”
7 And he, having risen, went to his house,
Bhai mundu apolweshe jula gwajimi, gwapite kunngwakwe.
8 and the multitudes having seen, wondered, and glorified God, who gave such power to men.
Bhandu bhowe palugwinjili pala bhakaibhonanjeje yeneyo, gubhalapilenje na jogopa gubhaakushiyenje a Nnungu bhaapelenje bhandu gwene ukulungwago.
9 And Jesus passing on from there saw a man sitting at the tax office named Matthew, and says to him, “Follow Me,” and he, having risen, followed Him.
Na a Yeshu bhakajabhuleje penepo, gubhaabhweni bhandu bhamo lina lyabho a Matei, bhatemi nnyumba ja bhakamula koli. Bhai, a Yeshu gubhaabhalanjile, “Nngagule.” Nabhalabho a Matei gubhajimi, gubhaakagwile.
10 And it came to pass, He reclining in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners having come, were dining with Jesus and His disciples,
A Yeshu bhakatameje kumui kwa a Matei nkulya shalya, bhakamula koli bhabhagwinji na bhakwetenje yambi bhananji, gubhaikengenenje nitamanabhonji nkulya pamo na bhaajiganywa bhabho.
11 and the Pharisees having seen, said to His disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with the tax collectors and sinners?”
Ashimapalishayo bhakabhonanjeje nneyo, gubhabhalanjilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, “Pakuti bhaajiganya bhenunji bhanalya shalya na bhakamula koli na bhakwetenje yambi?”
12 And Jesus having heard, said to them, “They who are whole have no need of a physician, but they who are ill;
A Yeshu bhakapilikaneje, gubhaabhalanjilenje, “Bhakotonji bhakakunnoleyanga mmitela, ikabheje bhakunnoleyanga mmitela bhalwelenji.
13 but having gone, learn what [this] is: Kindness I will, and not sacrifice; for I did not come to call righteous men, but sinners.”
Bhai, nnjendangane nkaijiganyanje malombolelo ga gene malobhe gano, ‘Shingupinga shiya, nngabha mbepei.’ Nangaika kwaashemanga bhakwetenje aki, ikabheje bhakwetenje yambi.”
14 Then the disciples of John come to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast much, and Your disciples do not fast?”
Kungai bhaajiganywa bha a Yowana Bhabhatisha gubhaajendelenje a Yeshu, gubhaabhushiyenje, “Uwe na Mapalishayo tunatabha. Pakuti bhaajiganywa bhenu bhakaatabhanga?”
15 And Jesus said to them, “Can the sons of the bride-chamber mourn, so long as the bridegroom is with them? But days will come when the bridegroom may be taken from them, and then they will fast.
A Yeshu gubhaajangwilenje, “Bhuli, bhashemilwenje kundowa bhalipinjikwanga kwigutanjila bhalinginji naka nnyene nkulomba? Ikabheje shigaishile mobha nkulomba shashoywe, penepo shibhatabhanje.
16 And no one puts a patch of undressed cloth on an old garment, for its filling up takes from the garment, and a worse split is made.
“Jwakwa mundu atotela shibhamba sha ambi munngubho ja bhukala, pabha shibhambasho shishikwinyale nipunda pwengula nngubhojo.
17 Nor do they put new wine into old skins, and if not—the skins burst, and the wine runs out, and the skins are destroyed, but they put new wine into new skins, and both are preserved together.”
Wala bhandu bhakaataganga divai ja ambi mmipatila ja bhukala. Bhatendangaga nneyo, divaijo shijikwebhe nipapula mipatilajo na divai nijitika, ikabheje bhandu bhanataganga divai ja ambi mmipatila ja ambi, na yowe shiilonjeye ukoto.”
18 While He is speaking these things to them, behold, a ruler having come, was prostrating to Him, saying that “My daughter just now died, but having come, lay Your hand on her, and she will live.”
A Yeshu bhalinkubheleketa genego, a kalongolele bha Shiyaudi gubhaishe, nitindibhala bhalinkuti, “Mwali jwangu ashiwa nnainope, shonde ngunakunnjuga tulongane nkammishile nkono gwenu shalame.”
19 And Jesus having risen, followed him, also His disciples,
A Yeshu gubhajabhwile nikwaakagula pamo na bhaajiganywa bhabho.
20 and behold, a woman having a flow of blood [for] twelve years, having come to Him behind, touched the fringe of His garments,
Bhakongwe bhamo bhalwalaga shilwele sha nsholosholo yaka likumi limo na ibhili, gubhaakagwile a Yeshu shilinyuma, gubhakwashiye libhiniko lya nngubho jabho.
21 for she said within herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I will be saved.”
Bhashinkutenda nneyo pabha bhashinkwiibhalanjila bhayene, “Ngwayape nngubho jabho shiname.”
22 And Jesus having turned, and having seen her, said, “Take courage, daughter, your faith has saved you,” and the woman was saved from that hour.
Bhai, a Yeshu gubhatendebhwishe nigubhaabhweni, gubhaabhalanjile, “Mwanangu, unakole lipamba! Ngulupai jako jikulamiye.” Bhakongwe bhala gubhalamile shilwele shabho shila malanga gala.
23 And Jesus having come into the house of the ruler, and having seen the pipers and the multitude making tumult,
A Yeshu bhakaisheje ku nyumba ja bhakulungwa bhala gubhaabhweninji bhaagombanga imbeta na bhandunji bhabhagwinji bhalinginji nshililo,
24 He says to them, “Withdraw, for the girl did not die, but sleeps,” and they were deriding Him;
gubhaabhalanjilenje, “Nshokangane! Mwaliju jwanngawa, ikabheje ashigonape.” Nigubhaeshilenje kwa kaje.
25 but when the multitude was put forth, having gone in, He took hold of her hand, and the girl arose,
Bhai, bhandunji bhala bhakashokangananjeje, a Yeshu gubhajinjile nkati, gubhankamwile nkono, mwali jula gwajimi nnyene.
26 and the fame of this went forth to all the land.
Jene nganijo gujishumile nshilambo showe.
27 And Jesus passing on from there, two blind men followed Him, calling and saying, “Deal kindly with us, Son of David!”
A Yeshu bhakajabhuleje penepo, ashinangalole bhabhili gubhaakagwilenje bhalijobhelanga, bhalinkutinji, “Mmaulongo gwa a Daudi, ntubhonele shiya.”
28 And He having come into the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus says to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They say to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
A Yeshu bhakaisheje kumui, ashinangalole bhabhili bhala gubhaajendelenje, bhalabho gubhabhushiyenje, “Bhuli, nnikulupalilanga kuti ngunaakombola kunnamiyanga?” Nabhalabhonji gubhaajangwilenje, “Elo Mmakulungwa,”
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you,”
Penepo a Yeshu gubhakwashiye meyo gabhonji, bhalinkuti, “Ibhe malinga shinshite kulupalilanga.”
30 and their eyes were opened, and Jesus strictly charged them, saying, “See, let no one know”;
Meyo gabhonji gakubhalakukaga. Numbe a Yeshu gubhaakalipilenje, “Nnannugulilanje mundu jojowe genega.”
31 but they, having gone forth, spread His fame in all that land.
Ikabheje gubhajabhwilenje, nishumya ngani ja a Yeshu nshilambo showe.
32 And as they are coming forth, behold, they brought to Him a man mute, a demoniac,
Na bhandunji pujabhulangaga, mundu jumo bhubhu akwete lioka, gwapelekwe kwa a Yeshu.
33 and the demon having been cast out, the mute spoke, and the multitude wondered, saying that “It was never so seen in Israel,”
Shangupe akashoyweje lioka, mundu jula gwatandwibhe bheleketa. Bhandunji gubhalapilenje bhalinkutinji, “Yene indui tukanabhe kuibhona pa Ishilaeli!”
34 but the Pharisees said, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out the demons.”
Ikabheje Mapalishayo gubhashitenje, “Bhanashoya maoka kwa mashili gaka nkulungwa jwa maoka.”
35 And Jesus was going up and down all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
A Yeshu bhatendaga owela ilambo yowe na ijiji yowe, bhalijiganya mmashinagogi na lunguya Ngani ja Mmbone ja Upalume gwa a Nnungu, na lamya ilwele yowe na kila ungakola mashili.
36 And having seen the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, that they were faint and cast aside, as sheep not having a shepherd;
Bhai, bhakabhoneje lugwinjili lwa bhandu gubhaabhonelenje shiya, pabha bhashinkutotoshelanga na bhashinkukolanga lipamba malinga ngondolo yangali nshunga.
37 then He says to His disciples, “The harvest indeed [is] abundant, but the workmen few;
Penepo gubhaabhalanjilenje bhaajiganywa bhabho, “Maneng'eno gamagwinji, ikabheje bhakamula maengo bhashokope.
38 therefore implore the Lord of the harvest that He may put forth workmen to His harvest.”
Bhai, mwaajuganje bhayene maneng'eno bhatume bhakamula maengo ku maneng'eno gabho.”
