Matthew 8
1 And when He came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him,
Als er aber von dem Berge herabgestiegen war, folgten ihm große Volksmengen.
2 and behold, a leper having come, was prostrating to Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me”;
Und siehe, ein Aussätziger kam herzu und warf sich vor ihm nieder und sprach: Herr, wenn du willst, kannst du mich reinigen.
3 and having stretched forth the hand, Jesus touched him, saying, “I will, be cleansed,” and immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Und er streckte seine Hand aus, rührte ihn an und sprach: Ich will; sei gereinigt! Und alsbald wurde sein Aussatz gereinigt.
4 And Jesus says to him, “See, you may tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest, and bring the gift that Moses commanded for a testimony to them.”
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Siehe, sage es niemand; sondern gehe hin, zeige dich dem Priester, und bringe die Gabe dar, die Moses angeordnet hat, ihnen zum Zeugnis.
5 And Jesus having entered into Capernaum, there came to Him a centurion calling on Him,
Als er aber in Kapernaum eintrat, kam ein Hauptmann zu ihm, der ihn bat und sprach:
6 and saying, “Lord, my young man has been laid in the house a paralytic, fearfully afflicted,”
Herr, mein Knecht liegt zu Hause gelähmt und wird schrecklich gequält.
7 and Jesus says to him, “I, having come, will heal him.”
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Ich will kommen und ihn heilen.
8 And the centurion answering said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You may enter under my roof, but only say a word, and my servant will be healed;
Der Hauptmann aber antwortete und sprach: Herr, ich bin nicht würdig, daß du unter mein Dach tretest; sondern sprich nur ein Wort, und mein Knecht wird gesund werden.
9 for I also am a man under authority, having under myself soldiers, and I say to this one, Go, and he goes, and to another, Be coming, and he comes, and to my servant, Do this, and he does [it].”
Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch unter Gewalt und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir; und ich sage zu diesem: Gehe hin, und er geht; und zu einem anderen: Komm, und er kommt; und zu meinem Knechte: Tue dieses, und er tut's.
10 And Jesus having heard, wondered, and said to those following, “Truly I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith;
Als aber Jesus es hörte, verwunderte er sich und sprach zu denen, welche nachfolgten: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, selbst nicht in Israel habe ich so großen Glauben gefunden.
11 and I say to you that many from east and west will come and recline with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of the heavens,
Ich sage euch aber, daß viele von Osten und Westen kommen und mit Abraham und Isaak und Jakob zu Tische liegen werden in dem Reiche der Himmel,
12 but the sons of the kingdom will be cast forth into the outer darkness—there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.”
aber die Söhne des Reiches werden hinausgeworfen werden in die äußere Finsternis: da wird sein das Weinen und das Zähneknirschen.
13 And Jesus said to the centurion, “Go, and as you believed let it be to you”; and his young man was healed in that hour.
Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin, und dir geschehe, wie du geglaubt hast. Und sein Knecht wurde gesund in jener Stunde.
14 And Jesus having come into the house of Peter, saw his mother-in-law laid, and fevered,
Und als Jesus in das Haus des Petrus gekommen war, sah er dessen Schwiegermutter fieberkrank daniederliegen.
15 and He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose, and was ministering to them.
Und er rührte ihre Hand an, und das Fieber verließ sie; und sie stand auf und diente ihm.
16 And evening having come, they brought to Him many demoniacs, and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill,
Als es aber Abend geworden war, brachten sie viele Besessene zu ihm; und er trieb die Geister aus mit einem Worte, und er heilte alle Leidenden,
17 that it might be fulfilled that was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, “He took our sicknesses Himself, and bore the diseases.”
damit erfüllt würde, was durch den Propheten Jesaias geredet ist, welcher spricht: “Er selbst nahm unsere Schwachheiten und trug unsere Krankheiten.”
18 And Jesus having seen great multitudes around Him, commanded to depart to the other side;
Als aber Jesus eine große Volksmenge um sich sah, befahl er, an das jenseitige Ufer hinwegzufahren.
19 and a certain scribe having come, said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You wherever You may go”;
Und ein Schriftgelehrter kam herzu und sprach zu ihm: Lehrer, ich will dir nachfolgen, wohin irgend du gehst.
20 and Jesus says to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky places of rest, but the Son of Man has nowhere He may lay the head.”
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Höhlen, und die Vögel des Himmels Nester, aber der Sohn des Menschen hat nicht, wo er das Haupt hinlege.
21 And another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, permit me first to depart and to bury my father”;
Ein anderer aber von seinen Jüngern sprach zu ihm: Herr, erlaube mir, zuvor hinzugehen und meinen Vater zu begraben.
22 and Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and permit the dead to bury their own dead.”
Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Folge mir nach, und laß die Toten ihre Toten begraben.
23 And when He entered into the boat His disciples followed Him,
Und als er in das Schiff gestiegen war, folgten ihm seine Jünger.
24 and behold, a great storm arose in the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves, but He was sleeping,
Und siehe, es erhob sich ein großes Ungestüm auf dem See, so daß das Schiff von den Wellen bedeckt wurde; er aber schlief.
25 and His disciples having come to Him, awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
Und die Jünger traten hinzu, weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Herr, rette uns, wir kommen um!
26 And He says to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then having risen, He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm;
Und er spricht zu ihnen: Was seid ihr furchtsam, Kleingläubige? Dann stand er auf und bedrohte die Winde und den See; und es ward eine große Stille.
27 and the men wondered, saying, “What kind—is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Was für einer ist dieser, daß auch die Winde und der See ihm gehorchen?
28 And He having come to the other side, to the region of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demoniacs, coming forth out of the tombs, very fierce, so that no one was able to pass over by that way,
Und als er an das jenseitige Ufer gekommen war, in das Land der Gergesener, begegneten ihm zwei Besessene, die aus den Grüften hervorkamen, sehr wütend, so daß niemand jenes Weges vorbeizugehen vermochte.
29 and behold, they cried out, saying, “What [regards] us and You, [[Jesus, ]] Son of God? Did You come here to afflict us before the time?”
Und siehe, sie schrieen und sprachen: Was haben wir mit dir zu schaffen, Sohn Gottes? Bist du hierhergekommen, vor der Zeit uns zu quälen?
30 And there was a herd of many pigs feeding far off from them,
Es war aber fern von ihnen eine Herde vieler Schweine, welche weidete.
31 and the demons were calling on Him, saying, “If You cast us forth, permit us to go away into the herd of the pigs”;
Die Dämonen aber baten ihn und sprachen: Wenn du uns austreibst, so sende uns in die Herde Schweine.
32 and He says to them, “Go.” And having come forth, they went into the herd of the pigs, and behold, the whole herd of the pigs rushed down the steep, into the sea, and died in the waters,
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Gehet hin. Sie aber fuhren aus und fuhren in die [Herde] Schweine. Und siehe, die ganze Herde [Schweine] stürzte sich den Abhang hinab in den See, und sie kamen um in dem Gewässer.
33 and those feeding fled, and having gone into the city, they declared all, and the matter of the demoniacs.
Die Hüter aber flohen und gingen in die Stadt und verkündeten alles und das von den Besessenen.
34 And behold, all the city came forth to meet Jesus, and having seen Him, they called on [Him] that He might depart from their borders.
Und siehe, die ganze Stadt ging hinaus, Jesu entgegen, und als sie ihn sahen, baten sie, daß er aus ihren Grenzen weggehen möchte. -
