Matthew 7
1 “Do not judge, that you may not be judged,
Não julgueis, para que não sejaes julgados.
2 for in what judgment you judge, you will be judged, and in what measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
Porque com o juizo com que julgardes sereis julgados, e com a medida com que tiverdes medido hão de medir para vós.
3 And why do you behold the speck that [is] in your brother’s eye, and do not consider the beam that [is] in your own eye?
E porque reparas tu no argueiro que está no olho do teu irmão, e não vês a trave que está no teu olho
4 Or, how will you say to your brother, Permit [that] I may cast out the speck from your eye, and behold, the beam [is] in your own eye?
Ou como dirás a teu irmão: Deixa-me tirar o argueiro do teu olho; e, eis uma trave no teu olho?
5 Hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Hypocrita, tira primeiro a trave do teu olho, e então cuidarás em tirar o argueiro do olho do teu irmão.
6 You may not give that which is [holy] to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the pigs, that they may not trample them among their feet, and having turned—may tear you apart.
Não deis aos cães as coisas sanctas, nem deiteis aos porcos as vossas perolas, não seja caso que as pizem com os pés, e, voltando-se, vos despedacem.
7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you;
Pedi, e dar-se-vos-ha; buscae, e encontrareis; batei, e abrir-se-vos-ha.
8 for everyone who is asking receives, and he who is seeking finds, and to him who is knocking it will be opened.
Porque, aquelle que pede, recebe; e, o que busca, encontra; e, ao que bate, se abre.
9 Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask [for] a loaf—a stone will he present to him?
E qual d'entre vós é o homem que, pedindo-lhe pão o seu filho, lhe dará uma pedra?
10 And if he may ask [for] a fish—a serpent will he present to him?
E, pedindo-lhe peixe, lhe dará uma serpente?
11 If, therefore, you being evil, have known to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who [is] in the heavens give good things to those asking Him?
Se vós, pois, sendo maus, sabeis dar boas coisas aos vossos filhos, quanto mais vosso Pae, que está nos céus, dará bens aos que lh'os pedirem?
12 All things, therefore, whatever you may will that men may be doing to you, so also do to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Portanto, tudo o que vós quereis que os homens vos façam, fazei-lh'o tambem vós, porque esta é a lei e os prophetas.
13 Go in through the narrow gate, because wide [is] the gate and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it;
Entrae pela porta estreita; porque larga é a porta, e espaçoso o caminho que conduz á perdição, e muitos são os que entram por elle;
14 how narrow [is] the gate and compressed the way that is leading to life, and few are those finding it!
Porque estreita é a porta, e apertado o caminho que leva á vida, e poucos ha que o encontrem.
15 But take heed of the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, and inwardly are ravenous wolves.
Acautelae-vos, porém, dos falsos prophetas, que veem para vós vestidos como ovelhas, mas interiormente são lobos devoradores.
16 From their fruits you will know them; do [men] gather grapes from thorns? Or figs from thistles?
Por seus fructos os conhecereis. Porventura colhem-se uvas dos espinheiros ou figos dos abrolhos?
17 So every good tree yields good fruits, but the bad tree yields evil fruits.
Assim, toda a arvore boa produz bons fructos, e toda a arvore má produz fructos maus.
18 A good tree is not able to yield evil fruits, nor a bad tree to yield good fruits.
Não pode a arvore boa dar maus fructos; nem a arvore má dar fructos bons.
19 Every tree not yielding good fruit is cut down and is cast into fire:
Toda a arvore que não dá bom fructo corta-se e lança-se no fogo.
20 therefore from their fruits you will know them.
E, assim, pelos seus fructos os conhecereis.
21 Not everyone who is saying to Me, Lord, Lord, will come into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who is doing the will of My Father who is in the heavens.
Nem todo o que me diz: Senhor, Senhor! entrará no reino dos céus, mas aquelle que faz a vontade de meu Pae, que está nos céus.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? And in Your Name cast out demons? And in Your Name done many mighty things?
Muitos me dirão n'aquelle dia: Senhor, Senhor, não prophetizámos nós em teu nome? e em teu nome não expulsámos demonios? e em teu nome não fizemos muitas maravilhas?
23 And then I will acknowledge to them, that—I never knew you, depart from Me you who are working lawlessness.
E então lhes direi abertamente: Nunca vos conheci: apartae-vos de mim, vós que obraes a iniquidade.
24 Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock;
Todo aquelle, pois, que escuta estas minhas palavras e as pratica, assimilhal-o-hei ao homem prudente, que edificou a sua casa sobre a rocha;
25 and the rain descended, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
E desceu a chuva, e correram rios, e assopraram ventos, e combateram aquella casa, e não caiu, porque estava edificada sobre a rocha.
26 And everyone who is hearing these words of Mine, and is not doing them, will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the sand;
E aquelle que ouve estas minhas palavras, e as não executa, comparal-o-hei ao homem insensato, que edificou a sua casa sobre a areia;
27 and the rain descended, and the streams came, and the winds blew, and they beat on that house, and it fell, and its fall was great.”
E desceu a chuva, e correram rios, e assopraram ventos, e combateram aquella casa, e caiu, e foi grande a sua queda.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus finished these words, the multitudes were astonished at His teaching,
E aconteceu que, concluindo Jesus este discurso, a multidão se admirou da sua doutrina,
29 for He was teaching them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
Porque os ensinava como tendo auctoridade; e não como os escribas.
