Matthew 4
1 Then Jesus was led up to the wilderness by the Spirit, to be tempted by the Devil,
၁ထိုနောက်မာရ်နတ်၏စုံစမ်းသွေးဆောင်ခြင်းကို ခံစေရန် ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည်သခင်ယေရှုကို တောကန္တာရသို့ခေါ်ဆောင်သွားတော်မူ၏။-
2 and having fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He hungered.
၂ကိုယ်တော်သည်ရက်လေးဆယ်ပတ်လုံးအစာ ရှောင်လျက်နေပြီးနောက်မွတ်သိပ်၍လာတော် မူ၏။-
3 And the tempting [one], having come to Him, said, “If You are the Son of God—speak that these stones may become loaves.”
၃ထိုအခါမာရ်နတ်သည်အထံတော်သို့ချဉ်းကပ် ၍ ``အရှင်သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော်မှန် လျှင်ဤကျောက်ခဲများကိုမုန့်ဖြစ်လာစေရန် အမိန့်ပေးတော်မူပါ'' ဟုလျှောက်၏။
4 But He answering said, “It has been written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word coming forth from the mouth of God.”
၄သို့ရာတွင်ကိုယ်တော်က ``လူသည်အစားအစာ အားဖြင့်သာအသက်ရှင်ရမည်မဟုတ်။ ဘုရား သခင်၏နှုတ်တော်ထွက်စကားရှိသမျှအား ဖြင့်အသက်ရှင်ရမည်ဟုကျမ်းစာလာ၏'' ဟူ ၍မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
5 Then the Devil takes Him to the [holy] city, and sets Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
၅ထိုအခါမာရ်နတ်သည်ကိုယ်တော်ကိုသန့်ရှင်း မြင့်မြတ်သောမြို့တော်ရှိဗိမာန်တော်ထိပ်ဖျား သို့ခေါ်ဆောင်သွားပြီးလျှင်၊
6 and says to Him, “If You are the Son of God—cast Yourself down, for it has been written that, His messengers He will charge concerning you, and on hands they will bear you up, that you may not dash your foot on a stone.”
၆``ဘုရားသခင်သည်သင့်အားကာကွယ်စောင့် ရှောက်ရန်ကောင်းကင်တမန်တို့အား အမိန့်ပေးတော်မူမည်ဖြစ်ရာ၊သူတို့သည် သင်၏ခြေကိုကျောက်ခဲများနှင့်မထိမခိုက်မိ စေရန်၊ သင့်အားချီပင့်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟုကျမ်းစာတော်တွင် ပါရှိပါ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍အရှင်သည်ထာဝရဘုရား၏ သားတော်မှန်လျှင်အောက်သို့ခုန်ချပါလော့'' ဟုလျှောက်၏။
7 Jesus said to him again, “It has been written: You will not tempt the LORD your God.”
၇သခင်ယေရှုကလည်း ``သင်၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားကိုအစုံအစမ်းမပြုရဟူ ၍လည်းကျမ်းစာတော်တွင်ပါရှိ၏'' ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။
8 Again the Devil takes Him to a very high mountain, and shows to Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory,
၈ထိုမှတစ်ဖန်မာရ်နတ်သည်ကိုယ်တော်အားမြင့် သောတောင်ပေါ်သို့ခေါ်ဆောင်သွားပြီးလျှင် လောက နိုင်ငံရှိသမျှနှင့်ထိုနိုင်ငံတို့၏ဘုန်းစည်းစိမ် ကိုညွှန်ပြ၏။-
9 and says to Him, “All these I will give to You, if falling down You may worship me.”
၉ထိုနောက် ``ကိုယ်တော်သည်ငါ့အားဦးညွှတ်ရှိခိုး မည်ဆိုပါကဤအရာအလုံးစုံကိုငါပေး မည်'' ဟုဆို၏။
10 Then Jesus says to him, “Go—Satan, for it has been written: You will worship the LORD your God, and Him only will you serve.”
၁၀ထိုအခါသခင်ယေရှုက ``အချင်းမာရ်နတ်၊ ငါ့ထံမှထွက်ခွာသွားလော့။ သင်၏ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရားကိုသာလျှင်ဝတ်ပြုရှိခိုးရမည်။ ထိုအရှင်၏အစေကိုသာလျှင်ခံရမည်ဟု ကျမ်းစာလာသည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
11 Then the Devil leaves Him, and behold, messengers came and were ministering to Him.
၁၁ထိုအခါမာရ်နတ်သည်အထံတော်မှထွက်ခွာ သွားလေသည်။ ထိုနောက်ကောင်းကင်တမန်တို့ သည်ကိုယ်တော်ထံသို့ချဉ်းကပ်ပြီးလျှင်လုပ် ကျွေးပြုစုကြ၏။
12 And Jesus, having heard that John was delivered up, withdrew to Galilee,
၁၂သခင်ယေရှုသည်ယောဟန်အဖမ်းခံရကြောင်း ကိုကြားသောအခါဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့ထွက်ခွာ သွားတော်မူ၏။-
13 and having left Nazareth, having come, He dwelt at Capernaum that is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali,
၁၃ကိုယ်တော်သည်နာဇရက်မြို့တွင်နေထိုင်တော် မမူဘဲဇာဗုလုန်နယ်နှင့်နဿလိနယ်စပ်ကြား၊ ဂါလိလဲအိုင်အနီးရှိကပေရနောင်မြို့သို့ သွားရောက်နေထိုင်တော်မူ၏။-
14 that it might be fulfilled that was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
၁၄ဤသို့ပြုတော်မူရခြင်းမှာပရောဖက်ဟေ ရှာယ၏ဟောကြားချက်မှန်ကန်လာစေရန် ပင်ဖြစ်သတည်း။ ပရောဖက်ဟေရှာယက၊
15 “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations!
၁၅``အို ဇာဗုလုန်နယ်နှင့်နဿလိနယ်၊ယော်ဒန်မြစ် တစ်ဖက်ကမ်း၊အိုင်လမ်းတစ်လျှောက်၊ လူမျိုးခြားတို့နေထိုင်ရာဂါလိလဲပြည်၊
16 The people that is sitting in darkness saw a great light, and to those sitting in a region and shadow of death—light arose to them.”
၁၆အမှောင်တွင်နေထိုင်ကြသောသူတို့သည် အလင်းရောင်ကြီးကိုမြင်ရလေပြီ။ သေမင်းအရိပ်တွင်နေထိုင်ကြသူတို့၏အပေါ်သို့ အလင်းရောင်သက်ရောက်လိမ့်မည်'' ဟုဟောကြားခဲ့၏။
17 From that time Jesus began to proclaim and to say, “Convert, for the kingdom of the heavens has come near.”
၁၇ထိုအခါမှစ၍သခင်ယေရှုသည် ``နောင်တရ ကြလော့။ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်တည်လုနီးပြီ'' ဟုဟောကြားတော်မူ၏။
18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon named Peter and his brother Andrew, casting a drag into the sea—for they were fishers—
၁၈သခင်ယေရှုသည်ဂါလိလဲအိုင်အနီးတွင်လျှောက် သွားတော်မူစဉ် တံငါသည်ညီအစ်ကိုနှစ်ယောက်ကို မြင်တော်မူ၏။ သူတို့ကားပေတရုခေါ်ရှိမုန်နှင့် သူ၏ညီအန္ဒြေ-တို့ပင်ဖြစ်၏။ သူတို့သည်အိုင်ထဲ တွင်ကွန်ပစ်လျက်နေကြ၏။-
19 and He says to them, “Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of men,”
၁၉သခင်ယေရှုက ``လာကြ။ ငါ့နောက်သို့လိုက်ကြ။ သင်တို့ကိုလူဖမ်းတံငါများဖြစ်စေမည်'' ဟု သူတို့အားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
20 and they, immediately, having left the nets, followed Him.
၂၀သူတို့သည်ချက်ချင်းပင်မိမိတို့၏ပိုက်ကွန် များကိုစွန့်ပစ်၍နောက်တော်သို့လိုက်ကြ၏။
21 And having advanced from there, He saw two other brothers, James of Zebedee, and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, refitting their nets, and He called them,
၂၁ကိုယ်တော်သည်ထိုအရပ်မှဆက်လက်၍လျှောက် သွားတော်မူသောအခါ အခြားညီအစ်ကိုနှစ် ယောက်ဖြစ်သောယာကုပ်နှင့်ယောဟန်တို့ကို မြင်တော်မူ၏။ သူတို့သည်ဇေဗေဒဲ၏သားများ ဖြစ်၍ မိမိတို့ဖခင်နှင့်အတူလှေထဲတွင်ပိုက် ကွန်များကိုအသင့်ပြင်လျက်ရှိနေကြ၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်သူတို့အားနောက်တော်သို့ လိုက်ရန်ခေါ်ယူတော်မူသောအခါ၊-
22 and they, immediately, having left the boat and their father, followed Him.
၂၂သူတို့သည်ချက်ချင်းပင်လှေနှင့်ဖခင်ကို ထားခဲ့၍နောက်တော်သို့လိုက်ကြ၏။
23 And Jesus was going in all of Galilee teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people,
၂၃ကိုယ်တော်သည်ဂါလိလဲပြည်တစ်လျှောက်လုံး ကြွတော်မူလျက်တရားဇရပ်များတွင်သွန် သင်တော်မူ၏။ နိုင်ငံတော်အကြောင်းသတင်း ကောင်းကိုဟောပြောတော်မူ၏။-
24 and His fame went forth to all Syria, and they brought to Him all the ill having manifold oppressing diseases and torments—and demoniacs, and lunatics, and paralytics—and He healed them.
၂၄ကိုယ်တော်၏သတင်းသည်ရှုရိပြည်တစ်ဝှမ်းလုံး တွင်ပျံ့နှံ့၍သွားသဖြင့်လူတို့သည်နတ်ပူးဝင် သူ၊ ဝက်ရူးနာစွဲကပ်သူ၊ ခြေလက်သေသူမှစ၍ အမျိုးမျိုးသောအနာရောဂါစွဲကပ်သူဝေဒနာ ရှင်များကိုအထံတော်သို့ခေါ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့အားရောဂါ ပျောက်ကင်းစေတော်မူ၏။-
25 And there followed Him many multitudes from Galilee, and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
၂၅ဂါလိလဲပြည်၊ ဒေကပေါလိပြည်၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၊ ယုဒပြည်နှင့်ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တစ်ဖက်ကမ်းမှ လူပရိသတ်ကြီးများသည်ကိုယ်တော်၏နောက် တော်သို့လိုက်ကြကုန်၏။
