Matthew 28
1 Now after [the] Sabbaths, it being dawn, toward the first [day] of the weeks, Mary the Magdalene came, and the other Mary, to see the grave,
Nach dem Sabbat, im Morgengrauen des ersten Wochentages, gingen Maria von Magdala und die andere Maria hin, um das Grab zu besuchen.
2 and behold, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the LORD, having come down out of Heaven, having come, rolled away the stone from the door, and was sitting on it,
Plötzlich entstand ein starkes Erdbeben. Denn ein Engel des Herrn kam vom Himmel herab, trat zum Grab, wälzte den Stein hinweg und setzte sich darauf.
3 and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,
Er sah aus wie ein leuchtender Blitz, und sein Gewand war weiß wie Schnee.
4 and from the fear of him the keepers shook, and they became as dead men.
Bei seinem Anblick erschraken die Grabeswächter: sie erbebten und waren wie tot.
5 And the messenger answering said to the women, “Do not fear, for I have known that you seek Jesus who has been crucified;
Der Engel aber sprach zu den Frauen: "Fürchtet ihr euch nicht! Ich weiß, ihr wollt nach Jesus sehen, dem Gekreuzigten.
6 He is not here, for He rose, as He said; come, see the place where the LORD was lying;
Er ist nicht hier, er ist auferstanden, wie er es vorausgesagt. Kommt her und seht die Stätte, wo er gelegen hat!
7 and having gone quickly, say to His disciples that He rose from the dead; and behold, He goes before you to Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”
Geht jetzt schnell hin und meldet seinen Jüngern: 'Er ist auferstanden von den Toten und geht euch nun voraus nach Galiläa; dort werdet ihr ihn sehen!' Das versichere ich euch."
8 And having gone forth quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to tell His disciples;
Da gingen sie schnell von dem Grab weg, und noch voll Schrecken, aber auch in großer Freude eilten sie davon, um seinen Jüngern, diese Botschaft zu bringen.
9 and as they were going to tell His disciples, then behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” And having come near, they laid hold of His feet, and worshiped Him.
Plötzlich trat ihnen Jesus entgegen mit den Worten: "Seid gegrüßt!" Da eilten sie auf ihn zu, umfaßten seine Füße und fielen vor ihm nieder.
10 Then Jesus says to them, “Do not fear, go away, tell My brothers that they may go away to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”
Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: "Fürchtet euch nicht! Geht hin und sagt meinen Brüdern, sie sollen nach Galiläa gehen: dort werden sie mich sehen!
11 And while they are going on, behold, certain of the guard having come into the city, reported to the chief priests all the things that happened,
Während sie ihres Weges gingen, kamen einige der Grabeswächter in die Stadt und meldeten den Hohenpriestern alles, was vorgefallen war.
12 and having been gathered together with the elders, having also taken counsel, they gave much money to the soldiers,
Da hielten diese mit den Ältesten eine Versammlung und, als sie Rats gepflogen, gaben sie den Soldaten reichlich Geld
13 saying, “Say that His disciples having come by night, stole Him—we being asleep;
und sprachen: "Sagt: 'Seine Jünger sind bei Nacht gekommen und haben ihn gestohlen, als wir gerade schliefen.'
14 and if this is heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.”
Und wenn es dem Statthalter zu Ohren kommt, so wollen wir ihn schon beschwichtigen und dafür sorgen, daß ihr straflos ausgeht."
15 And they, having received the money, did as they were taught, and this account was spread abroad among Jews until this day.
Da nahmen sie das Geld und taten, wie sie angewiesen waren. So hat sich dies Gerede bei den Juden verbreitet, und noch heute ist es in Umlauf.
16 And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus appointed them,
Die elf Jünger aber gingen nach Galiläa auf den Berg, wohin sie Jesus beschieden hatte.
17 and having seen Him, they worshiped Him, but some wavered.
Bei seinem Anblick fielen sie anbetend vor ihm nieder; andere aber hatten Zweifel.
18 And having come near, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me;
Da trat Jesus näher und sprach zu ihnen: "Mir ist alle Macht verliehen worden im Himmel und auf Erden.
19 having gone, then, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
So geht denn hin und sammelt mir aus allen Völkern Jünger: führt sie durch die Taufe in die Gemeinschaft des Vaters, des Sohnes und des Heiligen Geistes
