Matthew 24
1 And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and His disciples came near to show Him the buildings of the temple,
ययेशू मन्दिरबाट बाहिर जानुभयो र उहाँ आफ्नो बाटोमा जाँदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो । उहाँलाई मन्दिरका भवनहरू देखाउन उहाँका चेलाहरू उहाँकहाँ आए ।
2 and Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these? Truly I say to you, there may not be left here a stone on a stone that will not be thrown down.”
तर उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो र भन्नुभयो, “के तिमीहरूले यी सबै कुरा देख्दैनौ? साँच्चै म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, एउटा ढुङ्गामाथि अर्को ढुङ्गा छोडिनेछैन, सबै भत्काइनेछन् ।”
3 And when He is sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came near to Him by Himself, saying, “Tell us, when will these be? And what [is] the sign of Your coming, and of the full end of the age?” (aiōn g165)
जब उहाँ जैतून डाँडामा वस्नुभयो, चेलाहरू उहाँकहाँ सुटुक्कै आए र भने, “हामीलाई भन्नुहोस्, यी कुराहरू कहिले हुनेछन्? तपाईंको आगमन र संसारको अन्तको चिन्ह के हुनेछ?” (aiōn g165)
4 And Jesus answering said to them, “Take heed that no one may lead you astray,
येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “होसियार रहो, कसैले तिमीहरूलाई नभड्काओस् ।”
5 for many will come in My Name, saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray,
किनकि मेरो नाउँमा धेरै जना आउनेछन् । किनकि तिनीहरूले भन्नेछन्, ‘म नै ख्रीष्ट हुँ!’ र धेरैलाई भड्काउनेछन् ।
6 and you will begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, do not be troubled, for it is necessary for all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet.
तिमीहरूले लडाइँ र लडाइँका हल्ला सुन्नेछौ । तर तिमीहरू, विचलित नहोओ, किनकि यी कुराहरू हुनैपर्छ; तर अझै अन्त आइसकेको हुँदैन ।
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in various places;
किनकि जातिको विरुद्धमा जाति खडा हुनेछ, र राज्यको विरुद्धमा राज्य खडा हुनेछ । विभिन्न ठाउँमा अनिकाल हुनेछ र भूकम्पहरू जानेछन् ।
8 and all these [are the] beginning of travails;
तर यी सबै कुरा प्रसव-वेदनाको सुरुवात मात्र हो ।
9 then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations because of My Name;
तब तिनीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई सङ्कष्टको लागि सुम्पनेछन् र तिमीहरूलाई मार्नेछन् । मेरो नामको खातिर सबै जातिद्वारा तिमीहरूलाई घृणा गरिनेछ ।
10 and then will many be stumbled, and they will deliver up one another, and will hate one another.
तब धेरै जनाले ठेस खानेछन्, र एक अर्कालाई धोका दिनेछन्, एक अर्कालाई घृणा गर्नेछन् ।
11 And many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray;
धेरै झुटा अगमवक्ता खडा हुनेछन् र धेरै जनालाई बहकाउनेछन् ।
12 and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many will become cold;
किनभने अधर्मको वृद्धि हुनेछ; धेरै जनाको प्रेम सेलाउनेछ ।
13 but he who endured to the end, he will be saved;
तर जो अन्तसम्म स्थिर रहन्छ, उसले उद्धार पाउनेछ ।
14 and this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations, and then will the end arrive.
राज्यको यो सुसमाचार सारा संसारमा सबै जातिलाई साक्षीको रूपमा प्रचार गरिनेछ । तब अन्त आउनेछ ।
15 Whenever, therefore, you may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)
त्यसकारण, जब तिमीहरूले दानिएल अगमवक्ताले भनेका जस्तै त्यस विनाशकारी घृणित व्यक्तिलाई पवित्र स्थानमा उभिएको देख्छौ (पाठकले आफैँ बुझोस),
16 then those in Judea—let them flee to the mountains;
जो यहूदियामा छन्, तिनीहरू पहाडहरूतिर भागून्,
17 he on the housetop—do not let him come down to take up anything out of his house;
जो घरको छानामाथि छ, ऊ घरबाट कुनै सामान लिन तल नझरोस् ।
18 and he in the field—do not let him turn back to take his garments.
र जो खेतमा छ, ऊ आफ्नो खास्टो लिन नफर्कोस् ।
19 And woe to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;
तर ती दिनमा हाय तिनीहरूलाई जो गर्भवती छन् र जसले शिशुहरूलाई दूध चुसाउँछन्!
20 and pray that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a Sabbath;
हिउँदमा वा शबाथको दिनमा तिमीहरू भाग्न नपरोस् भनी प्रार्थना गर ।
21 for there will then be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor may be.
किनकि त्यस बेला महासङ्कष्ट हुनेछ, जुन संसारको सुरुदेखि अहिलेसम्म कहिल्यै भएको छैन, न त कहिल्यै फेरि हुनेछ ।
22 And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen will those days be shortened.
ती दिनहरू नघटाइएसम्म कुनै शरीर पनि बच्नेछैन । तर चुनिएकाहरूका निम्ति ती दिनहरू घटाइनेछन् ।
23 Then if anyone may say to you, Behold, here [is] the Christ! Or, Here! You may not believe;
तब यदि कसैले तिमीहरूलाई ‘हेर, ख्रीष्ट यहाँ छन्!’ वा, ‘ख्रीष्ट त्यहाँ छन्!’ भन्छ भने त्यसलाई विश्वास नगर ।
24 for there will arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.
किनकि झुटा ख्रीष्टहरू र झुटा अगमवक्ताहरू आउनेछन् र हुन सके, चुनिएकाहरूलाई समेत बहकाउनलाई ठुला-ठुला चिन्हहरू र चमत्कारहरू देखाउनेछन् ।
25 Behold, I told you beforehand.
हेर, मैले यी अगाडि नै तिमीहरूलाई बताएको छु ।
26 If therefore they may say to you, Behold, He is in the wilderness, you may not go forth; Behold, in the inner chambers, you may not believe;
त्यसकारण, यदि तिनीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई ‘हेर, उहाँ उजाड-स्थानमा हुनुहुन्छ’ भनेर भन्छन् भने, उजाड-स्थानतिर नजाओ । वा ‘हेर, उहाँ भित्री कोठाहरूमा हुनुहुन्छ’ भनेर भन्छन् भने, त्यसलाई विश्वास नगर ।
27 for as the lightning comes forth from the east, and appears to the west, so will also be the coming of the Son of Man;
किनकि जसरी बिजुली पूर्वबाट चम्कन्छ र पश्चिमसम्मै त्यसको उज्यालो पुग्दछ, मानिसका पुत्रको आगमन पनि त्यस्तै हुनेछ ।
28 for wherever the carcass may be, there the eagles will be gathered together.
जहाँ सिनो छ, त्यहाँ गिद्धहरू भेला हुनेछन् ।
29 And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
तर ती दिनमा सङ्कष्ट आए लगत्तै सूर्य अँध्यारो हुनेछ; चन्द्रमाले आफ्नो ज्योति दिनेछैन; ताराहरू आकाशबाट खस्नेछन्, र स्वर्गका शक्तिहरू डगमगाउनेछन् ।
30 and then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in the sky; and then will all the tribes of the earth strike the breast, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of Heaven, with power and much glory;
तब मानिसका पुत्रको चिन्ह आकाशमा देखा पर्नेछ, अनि पृथ्वीका सबै जातिले विलाप गर्नेछन् । तिनीहरूले मानिसका पुत्रलाई आकाशको बादलमा शक्ति र ठुलो महिमासाथ आउँदै गरेको देख्नेछन् ।
31 and He will send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to the ends thereof.
उहाँले आफ्ना स्वर्गदूतहरूलाई तुरहीको ठुलो आवाजका साथ पठाउनुहुनेछ, अनि तिनीहरूले उहाँका चुनिएकाहरूलाई आकाशको एउटा छेउदेखि अर्को छेउसम्म चारै दिशाबाट भेला गराउनेछन् ।
32 And from the fig tree learn the allegory: when its branch may have already become tender, and it may put forth the leaves, you know that summer [is] near,
अन्जीरको बोटबाट पाठ सिक । जब त्यसका हाँगाहरू कलिला हुन्छन् र पातहरू पलाउँछन्, तब ग्रीष्म ऋतु आउँदै छ भनेर तिमीहरूले थाहा पाउँछौ ।
33 so also you, when you may see all these, you know that it is near—at the doors.
त्यसरी नै, जब तिमीहरूले पनि यी सबै कुरा देख्छौ, उहाँ नजिकै अर्थात् ढोकाकै छेउमा हुनुहुन्छ भनी तिमीहरूले जान्नुपर्छ ।
34 Truly I say to you, this generation may not pass away until all these may come to pass.
साँच्चै म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, यी सबै कुरा नभएसम्म यो पुस्ता बितेर जानेछैन ।
35 The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
स्वर्ग र पृथ्वी बितेर जानेछ, तर मेरा वचन बितेर जानेछैनन् ।
36 And concerning that day and the hour no one has known—not even the messengers of the heavens—except My Father only;
तर त्यस दिन र घडीको विषयमा कसैलाई पनि थाहा छैन, न त स्वर्गका स्वर्गदूतहरूलाई, न पुत्रलाई, तर पितालाई मात्र थाहा छ ।
37 and as the days of Noah—so will also be the coming of the Son of Man;
मानिसका पुत्रको आगमन पनि नोआका दिनमा जस्तै हुनेछ ।
38 for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the Ark,
किनकि ती दिनहरूमा जलप्रलय आउनुभन्दा अगि नोआ जहाजभित्र नपसुन्जेल तिनीहरू खाँदै र पिउँदै, विवाह गर्दै र विवाह गराउँदै थिए,
39 and they did not know until the flood came and took all away, so will also be the coming of the Son of Man.
अनि प्रलय आएर तिनीहरू सबैलाई नलगुन्जेलसम्म तिनीहरूलाई केही पनि थाहा थिएन । मानिसका पुत्रको आगमन पनि त्यस्तै हुनेछ ।
40 Then two [men] will be in the field: one is received, and one is left;
तब खेतमा दुई जना हुनेछन्– एक जना लगिनेछ, र अर्को यहीँ छोडिनेछ ।
41 two [women] will be grinding in the mill: one is received, and one is left.
दुई जना स्त्री जाँतो पिँधिरहेका हुनेछन्– एउटी लगिनेछ र अर्की त्यहीँ छोडिनेछ ।
42 Watch therefore, because you have not known in what hour your Lord comes;
त्यसकारण, तिमीहरू जागा रहो, किनकि तिमीहरूका प्रभु कुन दिन आउनुहुनेछ भन्ने कुरा तिमीहरूलाई थाहा छैन ।
43 and know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief comes, he had watched, and did not permit his house to be broken through;
तर यो जान, कि रातको कुन समयमा चोर आउँदै छ भन्ने कुरा घरको धनीलाई थाहा भएको भए, ऊ जागा बस्ने थियो र चोरलाई उसको घर फोर्न दिने थिएन ।
44 because of this also you, become ready, because in what hour you do not think, the Son of Man comes.
त्यसकारण, तिमीहरू पनि तयार हुनुपर्छ, किनकि मानिसका पुत्र तिमीहरूले आशा नगरेको बेलामा आउनुहुनेछ ।
45 Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?
त्यसैले, विश्वासयोग्य र बुद्धिमान् नोकर को हो, जसलाई उसको मालिकले आफ्नो घरका मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूका खाना ठिक समयमा तिनीहरूलाई दिनलाई नियुक्त गरेको छ?
46 Blessed that servant, whom his lord, having come, will find doing so;
त्यो नोकर धन्य हो, जसलाई उसको मालिक आउँदा त्यसै गरिरहेको भेट्टाउनेछ ।
47 truly I say to you that he will set him over all his substance.
साँच्चै म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, कि मालिकले उसित भएका सबै कुराको जिम्मा उसलाई दिनेछ ।
48 And if that evil servant may say in his heart, My lord delays to come,
तर यदि दुष्ट नोकरले त्यसको मनमा, ‘मेरो मालिक ढिला हुनुभएको छ’ भनी भन्दछ,
49 and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,
अनि उसले आफ्ना सहकर्मी नोकरहरूलाई पिट्न थाल्छ, र मतवालाहरूसँग खान्छ र पिउँछ भने,
50 the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he does not expect, and in an hour of which he does not know,
त्यस नोकरले आशा नगरेको दिनमा र त्यसलाई थाहा नभएको घडीमा त्यस नोकरको मालिक आउनेछ ।
51 and will cut him off, and will appoint his portion with the hypocrites; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.”
त्यसको मालिकले त्यसलाई दुई टुक्रा पारी काट्नेछ र त्यसको दशा ती पाखण्डीहरूको जस्तै हुनेछ, जहाँ रुवाबासी र दाह्रा किटाइ हुनेछ ।
