Matthew 23
1 Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes, and to His disciples,
| آنگاه عیسی آن جماعت و شاگردان خود را خطاب کرده، | ۱ |
2 saying, “On the seat of Moses sat down the scribes and the Pharisees;
| گفت: «کاتبان وفریسیان بر کرسی موسی نشسته‌اند. | ۲ |
3 all, then, as much as they may say to you to observe, observe and do, but according to their works do not do, for they say, and do not do;
| پس آنچه به شما گویند، نگاه دارید و به‌جا آورید، لیکن مثل اعمال ایشان مکنید زیرا می‌گویند ونمی کنند. | ۳ |
4 for they bind together burdens [too] heavy and grievous to bear, and lay [them] on the shoulders of men, but with their finger they will not move them.
| زیرا بارهای گران و دشوار رامی بندند و بر دوش مردم می‌نهند و خودنمی خواهند آنها را به یک انگشت حرکت دهند. | ۴ |
5 And all their works they do to be seen by men, and they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the fringes of their garments,
| و همه کارهای خود را می‌کنند تا مردم، ایشان را ببینند. حمایلهای خود را عریض و دامنهای قبای خود را پهن می‌سازند، | ۵ |
6 they also cherish the first couches at the banquets, and the first seats in the synagogues,
| و بالا نشستن درضیافتها و کرسیهای صدر در کنایس را دوست می‌دارند، | ۶ |
7 and the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
| و تعظیم در کوچه‌ها را و اینکه مردم ایشان را آقا آقا بخوانند. | ۷ |
8 And you may not be called Rabbi, for one is your teacher—the Christ, and you are all brothers;
| لیکن شماآقا خوانده مشوید، زیرا استاد شما یکی است یعنی مسیح و جمیع شما برادرانید. | ۸ |
9 and you may not call [any] your father on the earth, for one is your Father, who is in the heavens,
| و هیچ‌کس را بر زمین، پدر خود مخوانید زیرا پدر شمایکی است که در آسمان است. | ۹ |
10 nor may you be called teachers, for one is your teacher—the Christ.
| و پیشواخوانده مشوید، زیرا پیشوای شما یکی است یعنی مسیح. | ۱۰ |
11 And the greater of you will be your servant,
| و هر‌که از شما بزرگتر باشد، خادم شما بود. | ۱۱ |
12 and whoever will exalt himself will be humbled, and whoever will humble himself will be exalted.
| و هر‌که خود را بلند کند، پست گردد و هر‌که خود را فروتن سازد سرافرازگردد. | ۱۲ |
13 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor do you permit those going in to enter.
| وای بر شما‌ای کاتبان و فریسیان ریاکار که در ملکوت آسمان را به روی مردم می‌بندید، زیراخود داخل آن نمی شوید و داخل‌شوندگان را ازدخول مانع می‌شوید. | ۱۳ |
14 [[Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you eat up the houses of the widows, and for a pretense make long prayers, because of this you will receive more abundant judgment.]]
| وای بر شما‌ای کاتبان وفریسیان ریاکار، زیرا خانه های بیوه‌زنان رامی بلعید و از روی ریا نماز را طویل می‌کنید؛ ازآنرو عذاب شدیدتر خواهید یافت. | ۱۴ |
15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you go around the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte, and whenever it may happen—you make him a son of Gehenna twofold more than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
| وای برشما‌ای کاتبان و فریسیان ریاکار، زیرا که بر و بحررا می‌گردید تا مریدی پیدا کنید و چون پیدا شداو را دو مرتبه پست‌تر از خود، پسر جهنم می‌سازید! (Geenna g1067) | ۱۵ |
16 Woe to you, blind guides, who are saying, Whoever may swear by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever may swear by the gold of the temple—is debtor!
| وای بر شما‌ای راهنمایان کور که می‌گویید “هر‌که به هیکل قسم خورد باکی نیست لیکن هر‌که به طلای هیکل قسم خورد باید وفاکند.” | ۱۶ |
17 Fools and blind! For which [is] greater, the gold, or the temple that is sanctifying the gold?
| ای نادانان و نابینایان، آیا کدام افضل است؟ طلا یا هیکلی که طلا را مقدس می‌سازد؟ | ۱۷ |
18 And, Whoever may swear by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever may swear by the gift that is on it—is debtor!
| “و هر‌که به مذبح قسم خورد باکی نیست لیکن هر‌که به هدیه‌ای که بر آن است قسم خورد، بایدادا کند.” | ۱۸ |
19 Fools and blind! For which [is] greater, the gift, or the altar that is sanctifying the gift?
| ای جهال و کوران، کدام افضل است؟ هدیه یا مذبح که هدیه را تقدیس می‌نماید؟ | ۱۹ |
20 He therefore who swore by the altar, swears by it, and by all things on it;
| پس هر‌که به مذبح قسم خورد، به آن و به هرچه بر آن است قسم خورده است؛ | ۲۰ |
21 and he who swore by the temple, swears by it, and by Him who is dwelling in it;
| و هر‌که به هیکل قسم خورد، به آن و به او که در آن ساکن است، قسم خورده است؛ | ۲۱ |
22 and he who swore by Heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by Him who is sitting on it.
| و هر‌که به آسمان قسم خورد، به کرسی خدا و به او که بر آن نشسته است، قسم خورده باشد. | ۲۲ |
23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you give tithe of the mint, and the dill, and the cumin, and neglected the weightier things of the Law—judgment, and kindness, and faith; these it was necessary to do, and those not to neglect.
| وای بر شما‌ای کاتبان و فریسیان ریاکار که نعناع و شبت و زیره را عشر می‌دهید و اعظم احکام شریعت، یعنی عدالت و رحمت و ایمان را ترک کرده‌اید! می‌بایست آنها را به‌جا آورده، اینها را نیز ترک نکرده باشید. | ۲۳ |
24 Blind guides! Who are straining out the gnat, and are swallowing the camel.
| ای رهنمایان کورکه پشه را صافی می‌کنید و شتر را فرو می‌برید! | ۲۴ |
25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you make clean the outside of the cup and the plate, and within they are full of robbery and self-indulgence.
| وای بر شما‌ای کاتبان و فریسیان ریاکار، از آن رو که بیرون پیاله و بشقاب را پاک می‌نمایید ودرون آنها مملو از جبر و ظلم است. | ۲۵ |
26 Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside of them may also become clean.
| ای فریسی کور، اول درون پیاله و بشقاب را طاهرساز تا بیرونش نیز طاهر شود! | ۲۶ |
27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you are like to whitewashed graves, which outwardly indeed appear beautiful, and within are full of bones of dead men, and of all uncleanness;
| وای بر شما‌ای کاتبان و فریسیان ریاکار که چون قبور سفید شده می‌باشید که از بیرون، نیکو می‌نماید لیکن درون آنها از استخوانهای مردگان و سایر نجاسات پراست! | ۲۷ |
28 so also you outwardly indeed appear to men righteous, and within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
| همچنین شما نیز ظاهر به مردم عادل می‌نمایید، لیکن باطن از ریاکاری و شرارت مملوهستید. | ۲۸ |
29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the graves of the prophets, and adorn the tombs of the righteous,
| وای بر شما‌ای کاتبان و فریسیان ریاکار که قبرهای انبیا را بنا می‌کنید و مدفنهای صادقان رازینت می‌دهید، | ۲۹ |
30 and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
| و می‌گویید: “اگر در ایام پدران خود می‌بودیم، در ریختن خون انبیا با ایشان شریک نمی شدیم!” | ۳۰ |
31 So that you testify to yourselves that you are sons of them who murdered the prophets;
| پس بر خود شهادت می‌دهید که فرزندان قاتلان انبیا هستید. | ۳۱ |
32 and you fill up the measure of your fathers.
| پس شما پیمانه پدران خود را لبریز کنید! | ۳۲ |
| ای ماران و افعی‌زادگان! چگونه از عذاب جهنم فرارخواهید کرد؟ (Geenna g1067) | ۳۳ |
34 Because of this, behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes, and of them you will kill and crucify, and of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and will pursue from city to city,
| لهذا الحال انبیا و حکماء وکاتبان نزد شما می‌فرستم و بعضی را خواهیدکشت و به دار خواهید کشید و بعضی را درکنایس خود تازیانه زده، از شهر به شهر خواهیدراند، | ۳۴ |
35 that on you may come all the righteous blood being poured out on the earth from the blood of Abel the righteous, to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar:
| تا همه خونهای صادقان که بر زمین ریخته شد بر شما وارد آید، از خون هابیل صدیق تا خون زکریا ابن برخیا که او را در میان هیکل ومذبح کشتید. | ۳۵ |
36 truly I say to you, all these things will come on this generation.
| هرآینه به شما می‌گویم که این همه بر این طایفه خواهد آمد! | ۳۶ |
37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that are killing the prophets, and stoning those sent to you, how often I willed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her own chickens under the wings, and you did not will.
| «ای اورشلیم، اورشلیم، قاتل انبیا وسنگسار کننده مرسلان خود! چند مرتبه‌خواستم فرزندان تو را جمع کنم، مثل مرغی که جوجه های خود را زیر بال خود جمع می‌کند ونخواستید! | ۳۷ |
38 Behold, your house is left to you desolate;
| اینک خانه شما برای شما ویران گذارده می‌شود. | ۳۸ |
39 for I say to you, you may not see Me from now on, until you may say, Blessed [is] He who is coming in the Name of the LORD.”
| زیرا به شما می‌گویم از این پس مرا نخواهید دید تا بگویید مبارک است او که به نام خداوند می‌آید.» | ۳۹ |
